“So your name is Lin Moyu, level 10, and your class is… a Necromancer? I’ve never heard of this class before. How strange.”

"I saw you had a skeleton with you this afternoon. Is that your summon? An Undead-type summon is quite rare."

She suddenly became talkative, one sentence after another.

"Why aren't you saying anything? Don't tell me you're mute; you don't look like one."

Lin Moyu looked at her and asked calmly, "Why?"

She looked as if she had discovered a new world, her little face full of surprise. "So you really can talk!"

"Why?" Lin Moyu looked at her and asked again.

Her smile remained. "You're asking why the Detection Spell failed, right? It's because of this."

She took out an item that looked like a badge. "This is called a Shielding Badge. As long as you wear it, anyone whose level is not more than 10 levels higher than yours will have their Detection Spell fail when used on you."

She put the Shielding Badge away. "Try using the Detection Spell on me now."

Lin Moyu nodded and cast a Detection Spell.

This time, it succeeded.

[Ning Yiyi, Level 19, Shadow Assassin.]

A breeze blew by, and Ning Yiyi's smile instantly vanished. Lin Moyu also looked toward one side.

Chapter 18: Skeleton Warrior Can Also Serve as a Tank

Lin Moyu had already discovered the newcomers through his Skeleton Warrior.

Besides the Archer and Mage he had seen earlier today, there was now an additional Knight carrying a sword and shield.

The three of them surrounded them from different directions.

Ning Yiyi furrowed her brows, her delicate little face scrunching up.

"Endless… it's just an Intermediate Skill Scroll. They've been chasing me for days and still haven't given up."

Ning Yiyi stomped her foot and said to Lin Moyu, "I'm leaving. I'll find you to play again if there's a chance."

Swoosh!

A sharp arrow shot out from the darkness. Ning Yiyi reacted quickly and dodged to the side in an instant.

The arrow exploded with a bang, turning into two streaks of light that landed on Lin Moyu and Ning Yiyi respectively.

A huge mark suddenly appeared above Lin Moyu and Ning Yiyi's heads, glowing in the night as if they were wearing bright headlights.

"Oh no, Marking Arrow!"

Ning Yiyi's little face turned pale instantly; she knew they were in trouble.

Lin Moyu recalled the description of the Marking Arrow.

This is a skill of the Archer that can mark a target, making them visible and preventing them from entering stealth.

Marking Arrow is very effective against Assassin-type classes, as it can restrict the assassin's stealth skills.

Moreover, when clearing a Dungeon, it can also be used to deal with some stealth-type monsters.

Once marked by an Archer, stealth skills are restricted, making it very difficult to escape.

"You won't be able to escape this time."

A sneer rang out, and the Mage he had seen earlier today walked out of the forest.

On the other side, the Archer was standing in a tree.

From another direction, the Knight had also arrived.

The Mage gripped his staff, his cold gaze sweeping over Lin Moyu and Ning Yiyi.

"I knew you two were together."

"An Assassin as dirty as a rat, paired with an evil and dark Undead-type Summoner—what a perfect match."

A faint light flickered in Ning Yiyi's hand, and a dagger glowing with green light appeared. "He has nothing to do with this. I'll give you the skill scroll, and we can go our separate ways."

The Archer in the tree laughed, "If it were a day ago, that would be fine, but now, we think it's safer to just kill you."

The Mage added, "Dead people are the safest. That way, no one will know we have an Intermediate Skill Scroll, saving us a lot of trouble."

Ning Yiyi whispered, "I'll hold them off in a moment, you run."

Lin Moyu looked at her, "And you?"

"I am a Shadow Assassin. The night is my domain; I naturally have a way to escape."

Lin Moyu knew Ning Yiyi was just saying that. If Ning Yiyi could actually fight them, she wouldn't have been running away today.

Clearly, the opponents were stronger.

As a Shadow Assassin, she might have been able to escape before, but now that she had been hit by the Archer's Marking Arrow, her stealth skills were disabled, making escape difficult.

The Archer said in a deep voice, "The longer the night, the more trouble. Stop wasting time; do it."

The Mage raised his staff, "Today, not only will you die, but this little guy will die too."

His staff erupted with brilliant light, and a huge ball of light rose into the sky, illuminating the surroundings like daylight.

Illumination Spell!

The Mage's Illumination Spell could not only be used to light up the area but also to dispel darkness and increase the Mage's spell accuracy.

Most importantly, the Illumination Spell could also suppress the Assassin's stealth skills.

This made things even worse for Ning Yiyi.

"Time to fight for my life."

A flash of light appeared in Ning Yiyi's hand, and a green dagger appeared. Her whole body tensed up.

Her big eyes narrowed slightly, her gaze becoming sharp as she began looking for an opportunity.

The Archer standing in the tree had already pulled his bow to the full, ready to shoot at any moment.

The Knight also took down his sword and shield, assuming the stance for the Charge skill.

The Mage's staff was glowing.

The three surrounded her, leaving Ning Yiyi no chance to escape.

At this moment, Lin Moyu raised his finger slightly, and a Skeleton Warrior appeared in front of him.

"Tch, a waste of effort!"

The Mage showed a hint of disdain, mixed with deep disgust.

"Great Fireball!"

The Mage shouted softly, and a huge fireball with a diameter of one meter appeared out of thin air, shooting towards the two with raging flames.

The Great Fireball is a skill that Mages can only master at level 20, and it is extremely powerful.

Once hit, you'd be dead or at least severely injured.

"Quick, dodge!" Ning Yiyi's pretty face changed, and she immediately pulled Lin Moyu back.

While casting the Great Fireball, the Mage instantly released Mental Entanglement.

As Ning Yiyi was pulling Lin Moyu back, she suddenly felt her body grow heavy, and her speed slowed down immediately.

An invisible thread of mental energy was extending from the staff, wrapping around their feet.

At the same time that Ning Yiyi was entangled by the mental energy, the Archer also made his move.

The bowstring hummed, and an arrow shot out.

The arrow split into three in mid-air.

Triple Shot!

One of the Archer's techniques, splitting one arrow into three, can deal 3 times the damage.

At this moment, the Knight also launched Charge, rushing towards the two at an astonishing speed.

"It's over!"

Ning Yiyi's face turned deathly pale.

She suddenly pushed Lin Moyu away with force, shoving him out of the attack range.

Just at this moment, two Skeleton Warriors appeared on the left and right sides of Ning Yiyi.

The three Skeleton Warriors were like three shields, firmly protecting Ning Yiyi.

The Mage's Great Fireball landed on the Skeleton Warriors, exploding with a bang and bursting into flames that filled the sky.

The Archer's Triple Shot landed on the Skeleton Warriors, emitting a metallic clashing sound.

The Knight also collided with the Skeleton Warriors at this moment; the Skeleton Warriors didn't budge, but the Knight was knocked flying.

From the flames, the Skeleton Warriors slowly walked out, their bodies emitting a cyan-white light, looking completely unharmed.

"How is this possible!"

Seeing this scene, the Mage couldn't believe it.

He had already checked earlier using a control spell; Lin Moyu was only a level 10 Necromancer.

The level of a summon cannot exceed that of the Necromancer himself, so they could only be level 10.

With his own level 21 strength, how could he not instantly kill the opponent?

The Archer and Knight were also stunned. What kind of summon was this that it was actually so strong?

Crack!

Crack!

Accompanied by teeth-gritting grinding sounds, one Skeleton Warrior after another appeared all around.

A total of 44 Skeleton Warriors surrounded the three of them tightly.

Chapter 19: First Time Killing, Done Decisively

It wasn't just the three of them who were stunned; Ning Yiyi was also stunned.

Staring with wide eyes and a small open mouth, she couldn't believe it.

She looked truly quite cute.

She had seen Lin Moyu's Skeleton Warrior earlier today.

A mere level 10 Skeleton Warrior, with many cracks all over its body, and the weapon in its hand was dilapidated.

It looked completely fragile.

How could it be so strong?

The Mage's level 20 skill couldn't even hurt it.

The Archer's Triple Shot and the Knight's Charge couldn't cause any damage to it.

Is this really a level 10 summon? It's excessively strong.

And the quantity…

Clusters of firelight lit up in the night as one Skeleton Warrior after another appeared silently, surrounding them tightly.

Lin Moyu didn't say much. He walked back to Ning Yiyi's side, his eyes filled with killing intent.

"Kill!"

With a thought, the Skeleton Warriors immediately initiated.

The Mage's face changed drastically. As his staff shook, a shield immediately appeared on his body.

Energy Shield.

The Mage's signature skill.

The higher the Mage's level, the stronger the skill, and the more solid the Energy Shield becomes.
