Spatial Blade and Shield

"Go to hell, you mutt!"

Peter sent Pierce flying with another punch, then immediately accelerated after him and followed up with a kick.

"Is that all you’ve got?"

"Can you only hide inside that Vibranium shell and play the coward?"

"Weren’t you so mighty when you were using S.H.I.E.L.D. to harm people?"

Peter kicked Pierce around like a ball while never letting up with his taunts, leaving Pierce thoroughly irritated.

Although Pierce was protected by Vibranium Magnetic Armor, with their realms being roughly equal, a warrior like him, relying on armor to reach his strength, was no match at all for a powerhouse like Peter, whose strength was driven by emotion.

Faced with Peter’s attacks, he was overwhelmed on all sides, completely reduced to defending without any ability to strike back. He had tried calling over the nearby Magnetic Field Warriors for help, but after a batch of those fools died, no one was willing to come forward and serve as cannon fodder anymore.

Of course he had to call for help when he couldn’t win. While taking a beating, Pierce carefully observed his surroundings, searching for someone he could ask for assistance.

However, his armor had already reached the Seventy-Five Heavens, putting his realm above that of the vast majority of Hydra members. Everyone whose realm surpassed his was basically a Hydra head from another branch, and the enemies they were fighting would be no weaker than Peter.

If he rashly lured Peter over, it was hard to say whether he would be rescued or simply deliver himself into the tiger’s den.

Fortunately, Peter was stuck at the Seventieth Heaven and had shown no signs of further improvement despite fighting for so long. Although Peter chased him all over the place, Pierce could temporarily hold out with the help of his Vibranium Magnetic Armor.

Pierce wasn’t running around blindly, either. Taking advantage of being pursued and beaten, he had carefully searched through Earth’s original location several times over the past few days, as though sifting through a sieve. At last, his efforts paid off. He finally found his target—the Space Stone!

Pierce desperately exchanged several blows with Peter. Although he was once again severely wounded and vomited blood, he had successfully forced Peter back. He seized the opportunity to accelerate toward the gem and take it in his hand.

Peter chased him from behind. When he slapped out again, what greeted him was no longer Ultimate Protective Qi, but a gem shield radiating blue light. His heavy palm struck the gem shield, but it remained completely unmoved, without even trembling.

Seeing this, Pierce threw his head back and laughed, finally feeling relieved.

"Haha… Peter, so what if you can fight?"

"It’s a civilized society now!"

"Everything takes brains!"

Pierce channeled Magnetic Field Force into the Space Stone. A Spatial Edge appeared out of thin air and, with a swish, sliced off Peter’s right arm as it came crashing toward him. If Pierce hadn’t dodged quickly, Peter would have lost more than just his right arm—he might even have been disemboweled!

Earlier, Shuri, Fitz, and Simmons had jointly researched the Space Stone. Although they had never been able to fully understand its properties or use them on Strong Magnetic Armor, they could still perform some simple operations, such as the Spatial Shield and Spatial Blade Pierce was using now.

This Spatial Shield was extremely small, only about thirty centimeters in diameter. It was completely incapable of protecting Pierce’s entire body, but while holding it, Pierce could fully block Peter’s attacks. Even if Peter used techniques to bypass Pierce’s right hand and attack his body directly, Pierce could take the opportunity to fight back with the Spatial Edge, exchanging injury for injury.

Given the current strength of Peter’s protective Astral Energy, even if space shattered, it might not be able to injure him easily. However, the Infinity Stones were the foundation of this universe, with extraordinarily high weight as rule-based objects. The Spatial Blade activated by the Space Stone was unstoppable. No matter how powerful the Astral Energy around Peter’s body was, in the face of that blade, it was scarcely stronger than a bubble.

Faced with such a broken weapon, Peter could only rely on his superb martial arts to maneuver around it, using the technique of barehanded disarming to bypass the Spatial Blade and Shield.

Compared to before, when Pierce had been pinned down and beaten one-sidedly by Peter, the situation was now completely different.

After the tide turned, Pierce’s confidence soared. Wielding the Space Stone, he alternated between shield and blade, attacking and defending with equal skill as he fought Peter to a standstill.

"Peter, you really are a piece of useless trash!"

Pierce was also a master tactician. Earlier, he had been helpless against Peter’s verbal harassment, but now that he had stabilized the situation, of course he had to pay him back. He understood Peter even better than Peter understood himself. Psychological warfare placed even greater emphasis on knowing both yourself and your enemy than normal combat did. Whoever possessed more information would inevitably win every battle.

"You had such a huge advantage just now, yet you still couldn’t kill me. You’ll never have any hope in this lifetime!"

"Look at you, you idiot. What can you even do?"

"You were one of the earliest superhuman warriors!"

"Thor!"

"How impressive!"

Pierce shrieked sarcastically.

"You’re the Second Apprentice-Brother of the Martial Arts School!"

"And yet, instead of cultivating properly at the Martial Arts School, you let a black-hearted man like Nick Fury order you around!"

"What superhero?"

"What justice are you upholding?"

"What world peace are you protecting?"

"Do you know how many of the missions you carried out back then helped us Hydra eliminate our own enemies?"

"You’re already an adult, yet you still can’t tell right from wrong!"

"You treated the people who used you like family, while distancing yourself more and more from the master who sincerely cared for you!"

"You’re truly amazing, Peter!"

Having his shameful past brought up to mock him made Peter feel increasingly humiliated, as though he had been socially executed.

"Shut up!"

"Isn’t this all because you scumbags deliberately twisted right and wrong and muddied the truth?"

"I swear I’ll wipe you all out, save this world, and correct every mistake!"

Driven into a frenzy, Peter’s attacks grew even more violent. Their power increased, but his techniques became increasingly chaotic and formless, leaving him completely unable to do anything to Pierce.

Seeing that his psychological attacks were working, Pierce naturally continued fanning the flames.

"Save the world?"

"Correct everything?"

"What, are you joking?"

"And you think you can do it?"

"You’re such a useless piece of trash that you can’t even save yourself! And you’re talking about saving the world?"

"Did you save your uncle?"

Pierce put on an imitation of Ben Parker and began wailing theatrically, "Peter, I died such a terrible death…"

"You’re asking to die!" Peter roared furiously, his fists growing even heavier as he battered Pierce until blood sprayed wildly from his mouth.

But Pierce was delighted rather than angry, because although Peter’s attacks had grown stronger, his aura had already become disordered and the rhythm of his attacks had been disrupted. Taking advantage of Peter’s furious assault, he swung his blade and split open Peter’s lower abdomen, leaving his intestines spilling out.

Strike while he’s down and finish him!

Pierce followed up on the momentum, relying on the Spatial Blade’s unstoppable edge to hack Peter until he was drenched in blood.
