That old man Hiruzen was really shameless. Kakashi had become a Chunin at the age of six and was now already a Special Jōnin. If Hiruzen Sarutobi had not deliberately held him back to wait for today, it would not have been surprising for him to be promoted to Jōnin immediately. As trainees who had practiced under Orochimaru for two and a half years, the three of them—Asuma, Kurenai Yūhi, and Mitaraishi Anko—had basically reached the level of Special Jōnin as well.
