Spirit Mountain Settled, Farewell to Patriarch Bodhi

Sun Wukong laughed. "Tathagata, weren’t you so arrogant? Come on!"

Tathagata chuckled. "Kill me or torture me as you please. Although I don’t know what you did, it no longer matters. I know I can’t defeat you. I only ask that you don’t destroy Buddhism."

Su Yu narrowed his eyes slightly. Based on what he knew of Tathagata, Tathagata should not have said such things.

Sun Wukong looked at Tathagata. After a long while, he nodded. "Fine! I’ll only kill you!"

As he spoke, Sun Wukong raised the Golden Cudgel and smashed it down on Tathagata’s head. The Buddha of Buddhism died beneath Sun Wukong’s staff just like that.

Su Yu found it rather strange. He immediately used the Mind Stone and learned the secrets hidden in the hearts of the Buddhists on Spirit Mountain. Su Yu learned from those Buddhist experts that Buddhism possessed a resurrection technique. By gathering the power of their believers’ wishes and using Buddhism’s supreme treasure—the relic Tathagata had taken out before—they could revive a dead person whose soul still had a trace remaining.

After Tathagata died, a wisp of his soul swiftly fled into a Prayer Mat on Spirit Mountain.

With a wave of Su Yu’s hand, the relic in the chest of a Buddhist expert vanished. Su Yu did not destroy that wisp of Tathagata’s soul. Instead, he took the relic away. This way, Tathagata could only remain in that Prayer Mat for the rest of his life. That was even more painful for him than death.

Su Yu and the others soon returned. The greatest regret of this journey was that the Silver Dragon Army had not gotten to fight a major battle.

On the way, Sun Wukong looked at Su Yu and said, "Senior Brother, I want to see Master, but I can’t find him."

Su Yu smiled. "Go look for him now. You’ll definitely find him this time."

The people beside him immediately tried to calm them down. "Enough, enough. What’s done is done. Stop arguing. Hurry and use the Detection Technique to search for it!"

The relic contained immensely powerful Buddhist energy, so as long as it remained within the Three Realms, they could detect its location.

Tathagata immediately grew excited again. "Right, right, we can still detect the relic’s location! Let’s join forces and search!"

As he spoke, Tathagata and the others used the Detection Technique together. Before long, the divine senses they had gathered tracked Su Yu. A smile appeared on Su Yu’s face. "Good!"

As he spoke, Su Yu waved his hand, and a massive door rose from the ground before them. Su Yu said, "Beyond this door lies the world of Su Yu, the Myriad Realms Dominator. Go inside and wait for me first. After I bid farewell to a few people, I’ll enter as well."

Everyone immediately lined up and entered the door one by one. After they had all entered, the door vanished.

Su Yu had not waited long on Flower Fruit Mountain before Sun Wukong returned. Su Yu looked at him and said, "Junior Brother, I’m leaving."

Su Yu smiled and shook his head. "I’m leaving this world."

Sun Wukong smiled. "They already have the strength to protect themselves. Moreover, Flower Fruit Mountain has both our divine senses watching over it. Within the Three Realms, no one can touch Flower Fruit Mountain!"

Su Yu smiled and punched Sun Wukong in the chest. "Alright! I’ll take you with me! It’s not as if you can never come back. If you want to return and take a look, you can do so anytime."

Sun Wukong smiled happily. Being able to return whenever he wanted was even better. He no longer had any concerns.
