Super God: One Punch and You’re Dead
She was a softhearted girl. Even after experiencing war, she still could not bear to see life and death.
Covering her mouth, she sobbed softly.
Then she asked timidly.
"Did she die too?"
"By human standards, Zhixin should be dead.
"But she is a high-ranking angel. The definition of death is completely different for her than it is for humans."
Rui Mengmeng was somewhat bewildered.
She seemed to have heard of divine bodies as well.
However, Rui Mengmeng did not know about the Fourth Generation Divine Body.
With a Divine Body, one’s life form had already evolved into an Atomic Aggregate Structure. Every atom was equivalent to containing a Dark Matter Computer. Unless it could be destroyed at the atomic level, no substantial harm could be inflicted upon it.
Qi Lin’s gaze, however, was sharp.
A chill ran through her heart.
Could angels be more advanced than Super Gene Warriors? Even if their bodies die, it’s like a computer crashing—they can still reboot.
A thought suddenly flashed through her mind.
It was a very fitting analogy.
Wars between advanced civilizations were no longer wars of cold weapons, nor were they wars of hot weapons. They were wars of computation.
Like a war between two supercomputers.
That was what made the Great Clock so formidable.
With the Great Clock, God of Death Karl had become invincible in the universe.
"That’s right."
Lin Yan said.
Zhao Youde gave a military salute. "Hero, we’ll withdraw first.
"We will certainly heed your teachings, protect our homes and defend our country, and fight until death."
The other soldiers marched away with forceful, steady steps.
Lin Yan revealed a faint smile.
He pressed his index finger against Angel Zhixin’s brow and calmly closed his eyes. Everything around him seemed to recede in an instant.
Within a vast universe.
There was nothing but Void around him.
"Where am I?"
She had lovely short golden hair and a youthful, exceptionally charming face, though there was a trace of confusion in her eyes.
"You are?"
"I’m Lin Yan."
In Angel Zhixin’s view, he was only a blurry outline, so indistinct that she could not even tell whether he was human.
Much less identify the martial arts hall.
Lin Yan? What! That’s impossible.
In her memories, she had already
been ambushed by God of Death Karl, and her body had been hung up like an exhibit.
Everything around her was cold and dark.
"Actually, you haven’t died completely, so the Sub-biological Engine cannot fully activate.
"Your Angel Engine will temporarily shut down, and you will survive.
"But you will lose your angel wings. In other words, you will no longer possess an angel’s power."
Sub-biological Engine.
Shutting down the Angel Engine—Zhixin, as Holy Keisha’s right-wing guard, also knew that Queen Keisha had been researching Void Matter and the Sub-biological Engine.
She had successfully equipped three warriors with Sub-biological Engines.
One of them was Angel Zhixin.
Angel Yan’s death had activated the Sub-biological Engine.
But Angel Zhixin had fallen just one step short.
"Or you can choose death."
To die or to live—that was the question.
Lin Yan knew exactly how God of Death Karl had destroyed Angel Zhixin. His weapon had been specifically designed to target Angel Genes and destroy Angel Engines.
Even a Third Generation Divine Body probably could not withstand that strike.
Unless it was a Fourth Generation Divine Body, like Morgana and Holy Keisha. Even if they scattered into sacred particles, they could still reassemble.
"I choose to live."
"Rebirth is a disgrace, an act that defies the angels and the Queen. Life must have both birth and death for the faith of justice to endure."
Angel Zhixin said the same thing.
She had always been Holy Keisha’s loyal follower. Keisha’s fall had dealt Zhixin a devastating blow.
Choosing to live
was also a sign of respect for Keisha.
At the same time, beyond her combat ability, Zhixin was extraordinarily gifted and intelligent.
