Taken Down

Kalona had been taken down. In the most humiliating way possible. Even at the very end, he could not understand it. Larfleeze, who radiated such intense greed, had been the easiest target to exploit. Why had he turned on him in the end? Kalona had even given Larfleeze a Green Lantern Ring as payment! Even as Kalona was sent to the execution block, he still could not understand. A glorious life, a stifled death—such was the life of Kalona, who had lived for over ten billion years.
