Thanos: I Have No Idea Who You Are

Jason had been beaten by a pack of dogs!

This left Russell feeling somewhat dissatisfied. He instinctively refused. Jason was one of the most famous killers in film history; finding people was his specialty. There was no reason he should lose to a pack of dogs, even if that pack might be formidable.

To be fair, between the Husky and Jason, Russell favored the latter. Even though Jason was ugly, never had any lines, and often silently mocked people with a condescending gaze, Russell was a nostalgic person. Besides, the bond of taking the blame and blocking bullets for each other was not something to be taken lightly.

Russell and Ying Yingying followed behind the four Huskies. The dogs moved steadily and ran like the wind, nimbly weaving through the rugged terrain of the primeval jungle without losing any speed.

The two ran at full speed but were soon left far behind. They could barely keep up only because the dogs stopped from time to time to wait for them.

Finally, after more than twenty minutes of rapid travel, the four Huskies stopped. They crouched low on their forelegs, their fur standing on end as they bared their teeth and snarled at the brush ahead.

Ying Yingying panted heavily as she gripped her Dogleg Saber. Limited by her build, her endurance was severely lacking, and she was seizing the moment to recover her strength.

Russell sighed helplessly, stepped forward, and punched each dog on the head in turn. There really was someone in the brush, and he really did walk on two legs, but he was not a living person.

According to the contract prompt, the person crouching in the brush was Jason!

He had sent out two groups of scouts one after another and eagerly awaited their reports, only for it to turn into a false alarm…

Russell wrapped his arms around the necks of the four dogs, signaling Jason not to show himself and to continue searching for humans on the island.

"What is it, Jason?" Ying Yingying held her saber at the ready. Russell’s behavior was a little strange.

"Nothing. They were just…"

Woof! Woof! Woof!

Russell was cut off as three more Huskies sprang out of the jungle and swarmed toward his arms.

"These four were in charge of… errands. They brought us here to meet up with their other companions. The place where they found living people isn’t here… yeah, that’s it." Russell made up an excuse on the spot. Ying Yingying could not understand dog language anyway, and as their summoner, whatever he said went.

Ying Yingying did not suspect anything. Huskies were already somewhat neurotic, and Russell was somewhat neurotic too. With the two put together, it was perfectly normal that she, a normal person, could not understand them.

"Come on, let’s see where they’re taking us." Russell pushed the dogs out of his arms and had them lead the way.

"Jason, I have a Flying Carpet in my Space Ring!" Ying Yingying said weakly. Skull Island was larger than some small countries. The road ahead was long, and if she kept running like this, she would die of exhaustion.

"You’re trying to play tricks on me again?"

"No, I really can’t run anymore."

"Then stay here and feed the dinosaurs! Pups… let’s go!"

The secluded valley was quiet and cold, giving off a rather chilling air.

Led by the Huskies, Russell and Ying Yingying climbed to the top of a hill that rose like a burial mound. Below lay a lush green plain. In the distance, mountains rolled in layer after layer, stretching endlessly beyond sight. Skull Island was even larger than they had imagined.

Several black dots formed a line across the grassland, slowly advancing toward the center of the island. They were too far away to see clearly, but the occasional gunshots indicated that these people were definitely not natives.

Russell took a backpack from his Space Ring. Inside was a pair of military binoculars that he had scavenged from the cruise ship, relics left behind by the mercenaries. Since a group of unlucky fools had fed the Sea Monster, the binoculars had become his inheritance.

As Russell adjusted them, the group on the grassland gradually came into focus. There were around thirty people in the party. Aside from the heavily armed American soldiers, there were seven or eight plainly dressed civilians.

They looked more like an expedition team than civilians. Each carried a gun and various instruments, and they traveled in the middle of the soldiers’ formation.

"Huh, this is…"

Russell slowly adjusted the military binoculars and unexpectedly spotted three extremely familiar faces: Nick Fury, Captain Marvel, and Loki.

Besides them, the remaining eight of Russell’s fifteen Huskies were also there. They surrounded an Asian girl, wagging their tails and fawning over her. The scene was crystal clear: she had easily won them over with snacks from her bag.

Russell: "…"

Why wasn’t I surprised by this at all?

"What is it? What did you see? Let me have a look!" Ying Yingying reached out to snatch the binoculars, but Russell held her head in place. She flailed her claws uselessly, unable to do anything.

Weak, helpless, and pitiful!

"Stop fooling around. They’re just some plot characters, nothing worth seeing." As Russell spoke, he took a small monocular from his backpack and handed it to Ying Yingying.

She looked thoroughly displeased, feeling that she had been discriminated against because of her height. She accepted the monocular and raised it to her eye.

In an instant, a gorgeous world appeared before her.

Mysterious, dazzling patterns filled her vision, vivid with colors yet remarkably orderly. As she moved her arm, the patterns immediately shifted and transformed, becoming rich and endlessly fascinating.

Ying Yingying expressionlessly lowered the monocular and smashed it viciously against a rock at her feet. With a bang, it shattered. Colored fragments scattered everywhere—glass beads, colored paper, dried petals, and feathers covered the ground.

"I wanted binoculars! Not a Mangekyo!!!"

Ying Yingying felt as if she were about to go insane. Since becoming Russell’s captive, she had not suffered much physical torment, but mentally she had become increasingly fragile, irritable, and short-tempered, always on the verge of exploding.

"You’re so young, yet your temper is already this terrible. What will become of you in the future?" Russell punched Ying Yingying on the head. Listening to her cry out in pain, he felt wonderfully refreshed. "It’s only because I’m kindhearted and don’t want to stoop to your level. If someone else had captured you, their digital camera would definitely have gained another terabyte."

If it had been someone else, they definitely wouldn’t have carried a digital camera around with them!

Ying Yingying was filled with resentment. She imagined herself beating Russell senseless before she barely managed to force a smile. "You’re absolutely right. Could I borrow the binoculars?"

"Now that’s more like it…"

"Thank you!" Ying Yingying jumped up and took the binoculars, hurriedly raising them to her eyes before Russell could change his mind.

"See that? The Black officer leading them is Nick Fury. Captain Marvel and Loki are in the expedition team. They’re all original Marvel cast members, so it’s quite the lineup!" Russell said from beside her.

"Please, what does that have to do with Marvel? They just look alike. It’s perfectly normal for actors to work together in different movies. Why don’t you say there’s also a Chinese actress down there…" Ying Yingying chuckled slyly. "Oh, your Huskies are there too. It looks like they’ve found a new owner."

Russell ignored the latter half. "I know it’s normal for actors to collaborate multiple times. The one down there isn’t Loki either. If he really were Loki, his hairline would already be approaching Ghost Rider’s."

"So?"

"Isn’t this interesting? Let’s go down and have Loki and Nick Fury take a buddy photo together. If we ever enter an Avengers world, we can spread the photo around…" Russell grinned wickedly.

Ying Yingying’s eyes lit up at once, and she agreed, "You’re right. I remember that in this story, Loki and Captain Marvel played a couple. How about taking pictures of them hugging and kissing?"

"You’re so young. How can you be so vicious?"

"Those near vermilion become red; those near ink become black!"

"What a shame we can’t get pictures of Thanos and Scarlet Witch in bed. That would be even more exciting." Russell spoke regretfully, recalling the classic exchange between Thanos and Scarlet Witch in Avengers 4.

Scarlet Witch: "You took everything from me!"

Thanos: "I have no idea who you are!"

There was originally nothing to it, but if one factored in another movie, where the two were father and daughter and then ended up sleeping together, it became deeply suggestive!

"That’s right. The worlds in the Main God Space are all extremely dangerous. There’s no hope for that world." Ying Yingying nodded in agreement.

"But Loki is still more impressive. Let’s follow them and take more pictures of him."

Russell made the decision. Scarlet Witch might have slept with half the Avengers and played a married couple with Quicksilver, making them the classic case of lovers ultimately becoming siblings, but she still could not compare to Loki.

That was because Loki’s record was even more glorious. Besides Scarlet Witch and Captain Marvel, he had even slept with the female, bald version of Master Gu Yi. It was truly admirable.
