The chains beneath the water orb swayed violently, causing the herd of Cloud Water Deer to suffer a backlash.
The Cloud Water Deer King's blue pupils narrowed, and it let out another long cry.
Nearly half of the Cloud Water Deer lowered their heads, using their antlers to stabilize the water orb.
The remaining half held their heads high, continuously firing water bullets into the sky, merging them with the massive water orb.
The water layer suddenly thickened and stabilized. Junior Brother Bai Ming's expression was grave; he had not expected the Cloud Water Deer King to harbor such deep murderous intent toward him.
It was determined to kill him here.
Just as this stalemate continued, a cracking sound rang out.
A loud noise erupted, and the water orb burst with a bang.
Using a breeze to resist the splashing water, Junior Brother Bai Ming's expression was somewhat ugly. He lowered his right hand and looked at the scene on the ground.
At some point, the herd of Cloud Water Deer on the ground had been scattered by five massive, pitch-black beasts.
"There are actually five Dark Wolves." Junior Brother Bai Ming was somewhat surprised.
This was precisely why he did not want to linger here; Medicine Peak isolated spiritual senses, and in this dim night, movement was already restricted.
Due to their naturally powerful bodies and night-vision eyes, spirit beasts actually found it easier to hunt.
The Cloud Water Deer King single-handedly blocked the attacks of two Dark Wolves, protecting the herd behind it.
Under its desperate resistance, the herd's decline stabilized for a moment.
The surviving Cloud Water Deer huddled together, using the energy from their antlers to launch concentrated attacks, blocking the Dark Wolves' offensive.
Now is the time.
Taking advantage of the chaotic situation, Junior Brother Bai Ming turned, wanting to seize the opportunity to leave.
A scarlet gaze appeared before his eyes, a pitch-black body shielding the only remaining light, and massive claws struck cleanly.
"What!" Junior Brother Bai Ming leaped to the right, narrowly dodging.
The Dark Wolves' pitch-black fur blended perfectly with the night on Medicine Peak.
Up close it was hard to see, and from a distance, even their outlines were invisible.
Cyan-green wind blades scattered from Junior Brother Bai Ming's body.
With the light brought by the attack, he briefly caught a glimpse of the Dark Wolves' forms.
A hideous beast face flashed by.
"So there are six." Junior Brother Bai Ming ascended rapidly, dodging an impact from behind, "No, there are seven!"
The attack failed, and the two Dark Wolves hid back into the night, waiting for the next strike.
The Cloud Water Deer herd below was already in disarray, continuously firing blue water bullets, dyeing the forest below into a blue sea.
The blue trajectories of the water bullets intertwined in a complex manner, actually forming a sea of light.
Clever.
Glancing down, Junior Brother Bai Ming noticed the only place with light below.
The Dark Wolves themselves were not particularly hard to deal with, but in this pitch-black night, he couldn't even see the shadows of the wolves, making it impossible to attack.
He could only passively endure the Dark Wolves' attacks; with the enemy in the dark and him in the light, something would go wrong sooner or later.
The Dragon Whirlwind Funeral required time to condense; against the agile forms of the two Dark Wolves, this was simply a weakness.
The Azure Fang Flash could kill in one hit and was fast enough, but without vision, he couldn't take the initiative.
Therefore.
Only by borrowing the light from that area could he turn from defense to offense.
Having figured out the crux, Junior Brother Bai Ming dove, flying rapidly toward the Cloud Water Deer herd.
Unexpectedly, several large water bullets with a radius of one meter shot straight toward him.
Casually brushing aside the incoming water bullets, Junior Brother Bai Ming cursed under his breath, "These beasts, do they not understand the current situation!"
"Damn it."
His forward momentum was blocked by the water orbs, causing his body to pause.
In this split second of weakness, two Dark Wolves already struck rapidly.
The airflow behind him was blocked; Junior Brother Bai Ming glanced sideways, catching sight of the massive black shadow.
He turned rapidly, "Azure Fang Flash!"
The Dark Wolf opened its massive mouth filled with sharp teeth and bit down, wanting to kill the youth before it.
But as its upper jaw closed, it didn't feel the pleasure of crushing its prey; instead, it felt intense pain.
Its lower jaw was gone!
Junior Brother Bai Ming delivered a hand-blade strike, cleanly severing the Dark Wolf's entire lower jaw.
The Dark Wolf's scarlet eyes revealed pain, and it quickly fled into the night.
Before he could steady himself, Junior Brother Bai Ming immediately flashed to the left, dodging the pounce of another Dark Wolf.
The two Dark Wolves vanished into the night again, waiting for the next opportunity.
Shaking the blood off his right hand, Junior Brother Bai Ming vigilantly scanned his surroundings, a swirl of wind still surrounding his body.
Several water bullets struck, and he dodged them with a turn.
"These beasts." Junior Brother Bai Ming clicked his tongue.
Here, there was light, allowing him to briefly see the Dark Wolves' forms, but he also had to endure the attacks of the Cloud Water Deer, making it easy to reveal weaknesses.
Just as Junior Brother Bai Ming was feeling troubled, a high-pitched wolf howl echoed through the entire valley.
The massive sound wave made the airflow around him somewhat unstable.
"What is it doing? This is bad; if this continues, more and more spirit beasts will gather here, and then it will be troublesome." Junior Brother Bai Ming's expression was grave.
Without hesitation, Junior Brother Bai Ming turned to fly away, but a massive claw immediately struck, splitting even the airflow beside him into four segments.
He had to stop and use his right hand to block.
"You won't let me leave?"
The ground began to emit vibrations of varying intensity, and beast sounds of varying lengths echoed through the mountain forest.
Glancing casually, Junior Brother Bai Ming saw dense black shadows rushing toward him.
He furrowed his brows, "They're already here."
"The night on Medicine Peak is so dangerous; if it weren't for that damned stupid deer, I would have left long ago." Junior Brother Bai Ming couldn't help but feel a bit agitated.
The Dark Wolves lurked in the shadows, and a moment of carelessness meant two massive claw strikes.
The distant Cloud Water Deer King fired water bullets from time to time, disrupting his movements.
In the distance were dense herds of beasts; if he fell into their mouths, he probably wouldn't even leave a complete corpse.
However, none of this mattered anymore.
Because, it had arrived.
Looking at the glowing mark on his right hand, Junior Brother Bai Ming's mood calmed slightly.
The distant cave shook violently, as if a massive creature was rushing out from within.
A roar that shook the sky rang out, and the entire herd of beasts stopped moving; the Cloud Water Deer herd's water bullets all fell to the ground.
The Dark Wolves' eyes showed pain, and they immediately fled into the night.
Junior Brother Bai Ming covered his ears, his expression ugly, "I'm really not used to this."
A massive blue shadow charged toward the herd with a huge gust of wind.
The Cloud Water Deer King's blue pupils were filled with terror, and it struggled on trembling limbs to flee into the distance.
But before it could even take a step, it was bitten into two pieces by a long, massive jaw.
Borrowing the light of the blue sea, the massive blue shadow revealed some of its form.
Azure blue scales, strong limbs, and golden-yellow pupils that looked inhuman.
The Giant Lizard flicked its tongue and lashed its tail violently.
The nearby herd of beasts was beaten into a mist of blood, without even complete remains left behind.
One Dark Wolf was even hit and sent flying straight into the distance, its stomach forming a terrifying indentation, its entire body connected only by a layer of skin.
The moment the roaring sound vanished, after the instinctual fear of the body passed, the herd of beasts, having regained their senses, immediately scattered and fled.
