The Cheat-Level Overgod from the Life Nebula! Tianque Shikai!

Morgana’s eyes immediately lit up at this sudden voice of opposition.

She had always wanted to stir up some trouble and probe Chu Yang’s true capabilities. After all, she had only seen him act against a Third Generation God Body and had no way to gauge his exact strength.

But Wall, the first one to jump out, had been too stupid, and after that, she had never found another opportunity.

Especially now, regarding Earth’s privileges, Morgana did not want to get involved. Rose was from Earth, and she did not want Rose to resent her over something like this.

Everyone looked toward the source of the voice. It was a man in a black robe, completely concealed beneath it without a single inch of skin exposed.

The hoarse voice made it impossible to tell whether the speaker was male or female, but some of those present knew who it was.

The Overgod of the Life Nebula, Sorey!

The Life Nebula was a new civilization that had risen only within the past half year. It had once been a Wasteland, with no life surviving there at all.

But ten thousand years ago, one planet developed self-awareness and gradually evolved, eventually becoming the Sorey of today!

It was a miracle of life, something science could not explain. Back then, both Carl and Keisha had wanted to study him, yet for some unknown reason, they had ultimately returned empty-handed.

Since both Keisha and Carl were extremely guarded when it came to Sorey, the major civilizations were unwilling to provoke him.

After all, Sorey had nothing to lose. Whoever offended him would leave their entire civilization without a moment of peace.

But what nobody had expected was that although Sorey had never come into contact with the technology of any advanced civilization, he had developed atomic technology unrivaled in the universe.

Even Holy Keisha could not compare, because with his atomic technology, Sorey had actually created planet after planet!

Those planets were formed from countless particles of cosmic dust, yet they could support life and allow it to reproduce.

Sorey had spent only a thousand years creating a nebula. Then, after another thousand years, the countless lifeforms within it had developed technological civilizations.

Even Earth could not match that rate of development!

Chu Yang received information about Sorey and the Life Nebula from Yan. He was slightly surprised as he examined the black-robed Sorey, his interest piqued. Smiling, he said,

"You seem to have misunderstood. The core content I mentioned refers precisely to Earth’s privileges!"

Sorey froze for a moment, then said with some displeasure, "Why should a pre-nuclear civilization have so many privileges?"

"Because Earth is under my protection!"

As Chu Yang’s words fell, the white light at his fingertips transformed into Tianque, which lay quietly on the table before him.

Seeing how imposing he looked, Rose suddenly frowned.

She remembered what Morgana had once told her.

Earth was being protected entirely by Chu Yang alone. The more domineering Chu Yang acted now, the more enemies he would create for Earth.

Once Earth lost his protection, it would become the target of everyone’s attacks.

"Heh heh…"

Sorey suddenly laughed. The sound was as unpleasant as a rotten bellows. "Do you know why, when I had just completed my evolution, Holy Keisha and Carl came looking for me but did not forcibly take me back for research?"

Everyone’s spirits lifted. They realized that a hidden secret was about to be revealed.

Sorey said coldly, "Because I can make my true body explode instantly, blowing them into countless atoms, then prevent those atoms from reassembling!"

"In that case, in a certain sense, they would die completely!"

"But it would not be mutual destruction, because my true body can still reassemble itself."

"Besides my true body, I can control the stars I created, move them, and detonate them!"

"How many stellar explosions do you think Earth can withstand?"

Everyone present was left dumbstruck by those words. Even Chu Yang was somewhat shocked.

No wonder!

No wonder this guy did not have the slightest fluctuation of dark energy, yet had become the Overgod of an entire nebula.

So he was a cheat-level monster!

Creating planets, moving stars, detonating stars… and his own true body was also a star. He could detonate and reassemble himself at any time, while also preventing others from reassembling their atoms.

Even if he had no combat ability beyond those powers, he was already terrifying enough. He was practically a walking Universe-level Nuclear Weapon!

Chu Yang developed a strong interest in Sorey’s abilities. Even if they were innate powers that could not be learned, they still held immeasurable value.

Everyone’s gaze fell on Chu Yang. They wanted to see how this Earth god, who had been utterly domineering ever since appearing, would handle such a situation.

At the same time, they made up their minds that they absolutely could not provoke the Life Nebula in the future!

Though they did not know how much truth there was in Sorey’s words, his true body was indeed a star, and he had indeed created a nebula. His claims about self-destruction and detonating stars were likely true.

The only question was whether Sorey could truly reassemble himself after self-destructing.

Or rather…

Would that reassembly come at a cost? And how long would it take?

Chu Yang extended his hand and lightly tapped the round table with his index finger, as though he were thinking.

But just as everyone thought he would compromise under Sorey’s threat, the white ancient sword on the table suddenly shot forth with a shriek!

No one reacted, because nobody had expected Chu Yang to dare attack under such circumstances!

Tianque moved at an extreme speed. At the same time, Chu Yang murmured softly, "The Imperial Star calls, the Auspicious Stars answer, Supreme Tianque!"

The Shikai chant!

The instant Chu Yang’s voice fell, Tianque had already reached Sorey and pierced through his chest without any obstruction.

At the same time, seven stars appeared above everyone. White light linked them together before finally pouring into Tianque’s blade!

"You…"

The hood of Sorey’s black robe was lifted by the fierce wind, revealing an aged face that seemed somewhat illusory. His body was actually somewhere between physical and phantom.

But he only managed to utter a single word before his eyes instantly became blank and dull. His expression and movements seemed to have frozen.

Chu Yang waved his hand lightly. The seven stars above dispersed, and Tianque flew back, once again resting on the table before him.

Shikai: Beidou!

After refining the Infinity Stones with the Treasure Refinement Art and fusing with the Three Sovereigns Bloodline, Chu Yang’s overall strength had risen further. He could finally begin developing Tianque’s power.

Beidou’s effect was simple: soul sealing!

Under normal circumstances, achieving absolute sealing was difficult. But Tianque had just pierced his so-called physical body, allowing Beidou’s power to be fully unleashed. On top of that, Sorey was only a half-baked god.

This guy only possessed the ability to reassemble himself and the innate ability to detonate the stars he had created. In every other regard, he was pathetically weak.

According to legend, the South Heavenly Gate, the entrance to the Heavenly Court, lay between Ziwei and Beidou. Since the first stage of Shikai was Beidou, Chu Yang guessed that Ziwei would likely come next.

"Looks like you can’t self-destruct faster than my sword…"

Chu Yang smiled at Sorey, who still maintained the posture he had been in before his soul was sealed, just so happening to stare directly at him.

Chu Yang’s gaze gradually deepened, as though it contained some kind of Magic Power.

Planting the Demon Seed Within the Heart!

"Looks like he can no longer continue opposing the edicts I have established. Does anyone else have any objections?"

Chu Yang looked toward the others, lingering briefly on Morgana.

No one spoke this time. Morgana simply turned her head away and ignored him.

Too strange!

This guy was far too strange!

Before figuring out his true background, nobody was willing to become enemies with someone like him. Otherwise, they might not even know how they died.

Ruo Ning, who had inexplicably lost her ability to resist, and Sorey, whose "soul" had been taken by Chu Yang’s sword, both gave off an unsettlingly strange feeling.

It seemed that every one of Chu Yang’s methods defied science.

Everyone fell silent. For a time, the hall was utterly quiet, with only the sound of Chu Yang’s index finger tapping against the table.

Each tap seemed to strike everyone directly in the heart.

Chu Yang had just attacked Sorey while tapping the table. Who knew whether he might suddenly become displeased and use another unlucky victim to make an example?

After a long while, just as some people were beginning to buckle under the pressure, Yan suddenly set down the documents and said,

"Mr. Chu Yang, the Angel Civilization has no major objections to the War Edicts you have drafted. However, regarding certain details, we hope to discuss them further and make slight revisions."

Chu Yang replied with a smile, "Naturally. Thank you to the Angel Civilization and Queen Yan for your support. Zhixin once said that Queen Keisha regarded me as a friend…"

"Although I denied it at the time, if the angels encounter trouble in the future, I will lend a hand for the sake of our ‘friendship.’"

Yan smiled faintly as well. Within the Sacred Knowledge Vault, she had seen the footage of Keisha and Chu Yang speaking aboard the Gorge-Class. Keisha had also left instructions that if the Angel Civilization encountered a life-or-death crisis, they could seek out Chu Yang to make a deal.

So she understood Chu Yang’s purpose very clearly. She knew that acting for the sake of friendship was merely a pretext.

At the same time, Keisha had left another instruction: no matter what happened, the angels could not become enemies with Chu Yang!

That was precisely why, during the council meeting, she had sent Wall’s information to Chu Yang, and when Sorey stepped forward, had also sent him Sorey’s general information.

For the same reason, after confirming that nobody could shake Earth’s privileges within the War Edicts, she was the first to step forward in support of Chu Yang.

With someone taking the lead, several civilizations that had already been willing to support Chu Yang stated their positions one after another. Some others lacked the strength to resist but were unwilling to compromise, so they too began following the wind.

Just as Morgana was hesitating over whether to wait and see if anyone else would step forward, Rose suddenly gave her a light kick beneath the table.

Morgana turned to look at her. Rose silently mouthed, "Support Chu Yang, and I’ll join the demons."

Morgana’s expression brightened, though she did not quite understand why Rose would do this when Chu Yang had already secured an unassailable position.

But none of that mattered. Other than Chu Yang, Earth was not much of a threat. After all, super soldiers like Galaxy Force had yet to mature.

Even if Earth’s privileges were only partial, even if the War Edicts were filled with unequal terms, she would not hesitate in the slightest if it meant Rose would willingly join her!

"I think it’s fine too. Hurry up and discuss the details!"

Morgana looked impatient as she snapped, "The Queen is very busy! Who has time to waste talking nonsense with you people?"

The representatives of the major civilizations who were still wavering were all dumbfounded. They could not understand why Morgana’s attitude had made such a complete reversal.

Left with no choice, they could only abandon their last little schemes.

The council lasted an entire day. By the time it ended, the representatives of the major civilizations all had complicated feelings.

Some rejoiced, while others worried. For certain weak civilizations, the War Edicts were like a protective umbrella, shielding them from the oppression of advanced civilizations.

But for certain powerful civilizations, they had gained a great many restrictions for no reason at all.

Of course, aside from those restrictions, there was also a benefit that could benefit every civilization. It was precisely because of this that the major advanced civilizations felt far more balanced.

This was something Chu Yang had mentioned before establishing the Void Battlefield: both sides in a war had to provide "spoils of war" to be held by the council.

After the war ended, those spoils would belong to the victorious side.

When war could no longer aim to wipe out one’s enemies, the only option was to gain as much profit as possible. In a certain sense, that was even more valuable than destroying one’s enemy.

Take the fifth war between angels and demons. Although Keisha had been killed, Morgana had not gained any tangible benefit.

But if that war had taken place in the Void Battlefield, with both sides putting up stakes such as the Sacred Knowledge Vault or Fourth Generation God Body technology, Morgana would instead have made a fortune.

It was worth mentioning that the Void Battlefield was not located in the void as its name suggested. Rather, a portion of the Styx Galaxy had been enclosed, containing many uninhabited planets as well as some unstable small dimensions.

Such an environment was undoubtedly more suitable for war.

As the representatives of the major civilizations departed one after another, only Chu Yang, Yan, Morgana, Moe, Rose, and the still-dazed Sorey remained around the round table.

Chu Yang naturally knew why Yan and Morgana had stayed behind, but he first looked at Rose and asked softly, "Are you returning to Earth with me, or staying in the Demon Nebula?"

Rose was somewhat surprised by his blunt question, but under Morgana’s gaze, she still took a deep breath and said, "I’m not going back!"

"From today onward, I am no longer a soldier of China’s Super Soldier Company. I am the Space-Time Rose of the Demon Nebula!"

"But I will always be an Earthling. Please, Instructor, pass these words on to my comrades, and to… my father…"

By the end, Rose’s emotions had grown somewhat low.

Making this choice meant saying farewell to everything in her past and embarking on a completely opposite path.

Chu Yang was not surprised. He nodded and said, "I respect your choice, and I’ll pass on your words."

"When we meet again, I look forward to seeing you grind those rookies into the ground. Their expressions should be quite entertaining."

Rose was surprised again. She felt as though Chu Yang had anticipated all of this long ago. There was none of the anger or questioning she had expected, and he even had the mood to crack a joke.

Chu Yang withdrew his gaze from her and looked instead at Yan and Morgana, asking with a smile, "You two stayed behind because of those soldiers of yours who went missing, right?"

Went missing?

Yan’s mouth twitched, her face full of speechlessness.

Morgana nearly exploded on the spot, but when she saw Tianque lying on the table, she had no choice but to suppress herself.
