The Demon Lord compromised and his demon form advanced again.

Cao Xing was speechless; his little scheme had been seen through by the Demon Lord.

"Fine, I'll modify the terms."

Cao Xing raised his staff again and began to write the contents on the contract scroll.

A moment later, he said, "Is it okay now?"

After checking it once, the Demon Lord replied, "It's okay."

"Then—I will take the oath according to the contents of the contract."

"During the Blood Chaos, I will—"

"Not harm—"

When he finished reciting, his pupils, burning with ghost fire, looked at Cao Xing again and asked, "How is it?"

Cao Xing recalled it in his mind and carefully checked the Demon Lord's oath content for any loopholes.

After confirming there were no problems, Cao Xing said, "Then now, the contract is established."

The contract scroll turned into a stream of light and flew rapidly into the high sky.

"Rumble—"

With a tremor, the Demon Lord continued to ask, "So now, can you hand over the corpse of the Seed of Light to me?"

Cao Xing shook his head, "The corpse of the Seed of Light was fed to the Blood Spider by me. Give me a few days, and I will prepare another one."

Hearing this, everyone on the scene looked strange.

The Demon Lord naturally knew that this was Cao Xing's excuse to delay time.

He said in a low voice, "In that case, I won't be able to prepare for my descent in advance. Once Démǔ descends before me, I might not be able to rescue you in time."

Cao Xing shrugged and said, "That is your business. If you cannot block Démǔ, it is equivalent to violating the contents of the contract, and you will be punished by the rules then."

The Demon Lord was stunned.

That's right, the contract stated, "During the Blood Chaos, the Demon Lord must block the Nightmare God Démǔ and not let him harm Cao Xing."

But if he couldn't come over, it would still be equivalent to violating the contract!

Damn! He had checked it once and confirmed there were no issues before signing, yet this kid still dug a pit for him to jump into.

For a moment, the Demon Lord was so angry that his teeth itched.

But now that the initiative was in the other party's hands, he had no way out.

Cao Xing naturally had his own considerations for doing this.

Although the situation on his side was relatively grim, there was still some power to resist.

He only needed to remove all the Blood Chaos teleportation pillars faster, and then he wouldn't have to worry about the threats from the Nightmare God or the God of Light.

Agreeing to the Demon Lord now was just a precaution.

Although the Demon Lord was angry, he quickly calmed his emotions and said, "Then wait for a while before handing the corpse of the Seed of Light to me. I hope you can keep your promise."

Cao Xing nodded slightly, "Of course I will keep my promise. After all, I have also signed the rule contract."

Then, he looked at the two women beside him and said, "Alright, let's continue and take these guys out."

Isabelle and Liu Muxue immediately looked confused.

"Huh???"

"Didn't we already settle the terms? Why do we still have to take them out now?"

Although puzzled, the two women chose to attack without hesitation.

Powerful Angel Power and Saint Light power erupted instantly.

"Hum!"

Like a sun rising, it illuminated the surrounding sky, and destructive power spread instantly!

The group of demons felt the Saint Light ball appearing above their heads again, and their expressions changed wildly!

Even the Demon Lord's eyes were filled with confusion.

He loudly demanded, "Cao Xing, what are you doing?"

"Didn't we agree on the terms? Why are you still continuing to attack?"

Cao Xing threw out the Ice Breaking Flying Blade while saying calmly, "One thing at a time. Although I agreed to use the corpse of the Seed of Light in exchange for your help against the Nightmare God Démǔ."

"But these guys just threatened me and even said they would slaughter everyone in my territory."

"Just in case, I have to wipe out this threat first."

He said it as if it were a matter of course.

But in fact, Cao Xing had his eyes on the loot on them.

Taking out this group of demons would drop Heart of Strength, Dark Crystals, and some other strange treasures.

Now he was just finding an excuse to take them out.

The Demon Lord was stunned, finding the capriciousness of the man in front of him very difficult to understand!

How is this person more like a demon than they are?

"Stop, Cao Xing!!" The Demon Lord scolded angrily.

But obviously, Cao Xing would not listen to him and continued to output crazily.

Not only that, he and Isabelle simultaneously used forbidden spells: Doomsday Ice Star + Blazing Light Torrent!

"Clatter~!"

Ice-blue meteorites filled the sky and descended.

A glowing river completely enveloped this group of demons!

Violent explosions rang out continuously!

The two forbidden spells bombarded in turns, and the violent energy fluctuations stirred up everything around, even making it impossible for this group of demons to open a teleportation.

That layer of black energy shield also became increasingly dim, looking like it was about to collapse.

A sense of death crisis shrouded the hearts of all the demons!

At this time, the Demon Lord seemed to have seen through Cao Xing's character.

This is a guy who won't do anything without profit!

Without enough profit, he would really wipe out their whole group of demons today.

The Demon Lord felt even more depressed.

The number of remaining demons in this world is not large, especially powerful demons like the deformed-leg farm woman and that young child, who are even fewer.

For the next actions, the Demon Lord still needed these demons to help with things, so he could not let them die.

Therefore, he hurriedly shouted, "Wait a moment, Cao Xing!"

"You have the Demon Codex and our clan's high-level demon power. I can make your demon power strengthen again."

"As a condition, you let them go!"

Hearing this, Cao Xing's expression shifted slightly.

He quickly raised his right hand, "Stop."

Hearing the order, Isabelle and Liu Muxue simultaneously interrupted their attacks.

Including Cao Xing himself, he no longer continued to bombard them with the Doomsday Ice Star.

When the terrifying attacks gradually stopped.

The group of demons hiding under the shield below breathed a sigh of relief simultaneously.

Just now, they really felt like they were going to die immediately!

But fortunately, this guy finally stopped.

"Is what you said true?" Cao Xing asked.

The Demon Lord looked at him deeply, then sighed helplessly, "Of course—"

"But before that, you need to let them go first."

Thinking that he, a dignified Demon Lord, an existence of a world lord, now had to pay enough benefits to exchange for the chance for other demons to survive, was simply a great humiliation.

Even in the eyes of other demons, expressions of humiliation appeared.

However, no one expected that Cao Xing would have a Legendary Saint Light Sage in his hands.

This kind of power was simply too terrifying and could wipe out this entire group of demons.

Cao Xing cupped his chin and pondered for a moment.

Then he said, "Since that's the case, I will open the net and not hold it against these guys for attacking me just now."

"However—don't think about breaking the promise after they leave."

"You know, I have a Legendary Saint Light Sage and a Four-Winged Angel, so I can find the tracks of this group of demons very quickly."

There was a hint of threat in his tone.

The Demon Lord said helplessly, "Rest assured."

Cao Xing nodded, "Okay, then let them leave."

At this moment, the Demon Lord looked at the group of demons protected by him behind him and said in a low voice, "Leave quickly."

At the same time.

That deformed-leg farm woman also quickly climbed up from the ground.

She held the crutch in her hand and looked at Cao Xing with a complex gaze.

Without any other unnecessary movements, she directly slammed the crutch onto the ground.

Thick black smoke instantly dispersed, shrouding all the demons on the scene.

Even that young child demon stayed honestly in place.

At this time, he no longer had the arrogance he had before and didn't even dare to look directly at Cao Xing.

After all, this is a ruthless person who even dares to threaten the Demon Lord.

If he really wanted to kill him, even the Demon Lord couldn't stop him.

"Clatter~!"

The thick fog dissipated within a few seconds, and the group of demons also disappeared from the spot.

Only that pair of eyes flickering with ghost-green fire remained, along with the figures of Cao Xing and the other two.

Cao Xing said, "Now, it's time to fulfill your promise."

The Demon Lord said in a flat tone, "Okay, now you enter the Demon Form, and I will inject the remaining demon power into you."

Hearing this, Cao Xing shook his head directly, "No, I don't trust you."

"What if you do something to my body without my knowledge?"

Hearing this, the Demon Lord felt even more toothache.

He discovered that this Otherworld Lord was truly cautious.

Or perhaps, the other party had never trusted him from the beginning to the end.

The Demon Lord said, "Since that's the case, I will condense all the remaining demon power and synthesize it into a Demon Orb."

"Then you can take the Demon Orb back and identify it yourself. That should be fine, right?"

Hearing this, Cao Xing's eyes lit up immediately.

This plan sounded like it was indeed much safer.

"Okay, you condense it first, and I'll take a look."

After saying that, the Demon Lord did not drag things out and directly began to condense that mass of black demonic energy.

He didn't want to deal with this Otherworld Lord at all anymore.

As the demonic energy gradually converged, those ghostly green eyes grew increasingly dim.

Before dissipating completely, the Demon Lord's faint voice echoed,

"Cao Xing, don't forget our agreement—"

The dark demonic energy vanished, and only a black bead appeared, floating in mid-air before everyone.

Cao Xing stepped forward and grasped the bead in his hand.

[Obtained: Demon Orb (Special)]

"So this is the thing that can let my Demon Form evolve again?"

With a slightly strange expression, Cao Xing checked its attributes.

[Demon Orb (Special)]

[Quality: Unknown]

[Item Effect: A bead containing pure demonic energy. After absorbing it, it can allow 'Advanced Demon Form' to evolve into 'Great Demon Form'.]

(Note: A bead containing the Demon Lord's power, can only be used once.)

After reading the bead's attributes, Cao Xing gradually felt relieved.

Although he didn't trust the Demon Lord's words, he trusted the system.

Since the system indicated no issues, it meant this bead had no hidden dangers.

Thus, he directly entered the [Advanced Demon Transformation] state.

Thick demonic energy radiated from his body.

Come to think of it, since Cao Xing broke through to become a Hero, this was his first time entering his Demon Form.

In this form, his attributes would increase by 100%,

and as Cao Xing was a hidden class—Frost Dragon Mage—his own attributes were already comparable to a Boss-level creature of the same rank.

After such a boost, he completely surpassed a Mutant Overlord of the same rank!

"Whoosh~!"

As his massive black wings spread open,

a demon with a tall, elegant figure appeared in mid-air.

The aura on his body was not at all inferior to Liu Muxue in her Four-Winged Angel form.

The powers of the angel and the demon once again stood in opposition.

Then, Cao Xing took out the [Demon Orb] and tossed it into his mouth, swallowing it like a candy.

The next moment.

Cao Xing suddenly felt a surge of evil, powerful energy beginning to fill his entire body!

This explosive power was truly too terrifying, as if it were forcibly stretching and expanding his body.

"Clatter~!"

Demonic energy continuously dissipated.

At this moment, Cao Xing's body underwent another astonishing change.

His originally slender frame became even taller, and shimmering patterns appeared on his skin.

A pair of massive demon wings slowly spread from his back, the wing membranes as smooth as silk, with glowing patterns flickering on them as well.

Then came the changes to his head.

Two curved horns gradually grew on his head, the tips as crystalline as obsidian, radiating a cold light.

His fingers also became more slender, the tips sharp as blades, as if they could easily tear through steel!

With this, the transformation from Advanced Demon to Great Demon was complete.

Cao Xing hovered in mid-air, looking like a nobleman who had walked out of the abyss, radiating thick demonic energy, elegant and deadly!

Even the Angel power, which countered demons, could not suppress his strength.

At this moment, Cao Xing only felt a surge of explosive power flowing through his body, making him want to find someone to fight!

A system prompt appeared.

[Because you absorbed pure demonic energy, the 'Advanced Demon Transformation' skill has evolved into 'Great Demon Transformation'. Base attribute boost increased from 100% to 200%. Additionally, you have learned new skills: 'Demon Flame Burst', 'Hellfire Descent', and 'Abyss Resonance'—]

As the prompt ended, a curve gradually formed on Cao Xing's pitch-black face.

"Not bad—it really did evolve again."

"A 200% attribute boost, plus three new skills—this is truly great!"

With excitement, Cao Xing scanned the attributes of the three newly activated skills.

[Demon Flame Burst (Passive): The Great Demon is enveloped in Abyss Fire. After receiving a cumulative total of 10 hits, the power of the Abyss Fire will be activated, unleashing a powerful shockwave that knocks back all enemies within 200 meters, dealing Attack Power * 284% shock damage and applying 5 stacks of 'Demon Flame Burn' effect.

Demon Flame Burn: Each stack of burn effect deals Attack Power * 20% damage per second, lasting for 5 seconds, stacking up to 10 times.

Trigger Interval: Can be triggered at most once every 10 seconds]

[Hellfire Descent: Summon an Abyss Hellfire (Level 100 Overlord) to descend from the sky, dealing Attack Power * 354% shock damage to all enemies within 3000 meters below, stunning them for 13 seconds. Afterward, the Hellfire will follow your commands and fight alongside you.

The Hellfire possesses the skills: Hell Stomp, Abyss Stone Armor, Demon Flame Burn.

Hellfire Duration: 80 seconds. Skill Cooldown: 1 hour]

[Abyss Resonance: Release Abyss power, causing all surrounding enemies to fall into a state of Mental Confusion for 5 seconds. Mental Confusion: Enemies will be unable to distinguish friend from foe, attacking targets within range randomly, and have their movement speed reduced by 50% and attack speed by 30%.

Against enemies under Mental Confusion, the Great Demon's attacks will deal an additional 100% Abyss damage.

Cooldown: 3 minutes]

"Interesting. One passive, one large-area AoE attack, and one large-area crowd control plus debuff skill?"

Cao Xing was very satisfied with these three new skills, as they significantly increased his combat power.

Combined with the Demon Codex, he was even stronger in this form than as a Frost Dragon Mage.

"Now, in the Great Demon form, I have almost reached the level of being invincible at the same rank. In terms of attributes alone, I am even on par with a freak like Malenia."

"If I can break through to Legendary—and then enter the Great Demon form—I should have no problem fighting two Legendary-rank entities on my own."

Thinking of this, Cao Xing looked forward to the changes after he reached Legendary even more.

Isabelle and Liu Muxue, who were nearby, also noticed Cao Xing's changes.

In his Great Demon form, his rank had already surpassed Liu Muxue's Four-Winged Angel, and the monstrous demonic energy on his body suppressed the Angel power.

It was as if half the sky had been dyed pitch black.

Even Isabelle, as a Saint Light Sage, couldn't help but exclaim, "The demonic energy on you, My Lord, is truly terrifying."

"If this were during the time when the Church was active, a Great Demon like you would definitely be crusaded against by those Sages and Templars…"

Cao Xing smiled, directly exited the Great Demon form, and said, "Let's go, we're heading back."

The two women nodded slightly.

They simultaneously retracted their Angel power and Saint Light power, and followed Cao Xing back towards the territory. The arrival of this group of demons tonight had actually brought Cao Xing quite a few benefits.

Not only did it make him stronger, but it also provided him with a means to restrain the Nightmare God Démǔ.

Of course, Cao Xing certainly wouldn't pin all his hopes on that guy, the Demon Lord.

An entity of that level might just have a way to counter rule-based contracts.

If the other party went back on their word and refused to help deal with the Nightmare God, that would be one thing.

They might even kick him while he was down and join forces with the Nightmare God to deal with him.

"So—relying only on the power in my own hands is the real truth."

Cao Xing took a deep breath and silently made a decision in his heart.

The three of them crossed the city wall together and returned to the territory.

All combat personnel were standing in the center of the territory, ready for battle.

Just moments ago, they had all sensed the battle outside and had prepared themselves for combat.

As long as Cao Xing gave the order, this group of experts would rush out of the territory without hesitation and crush the enemy.

Cao Xing waved his hand and said, "Alright, there's nothing going on here, everyone go back and rest."

Hearing this, the combat personnel on the scene relaxed one after another and gradually returned to their rooms.

"Muxue, Isabelle, you two go back and rest as well."

The two women nodded gently, turned around, and gracefully left.

Soon, only Cao Xing was left there.

"I was originally planning to go find the blacksmith earlier, but I was interrupted by those demons. Let's go check now."

Cao Xing headed straight to the fourth ring area of the territory and pushed open the door of one of the blacksmith shops.

It was already ten o'clock at night.

The rule he had previously set was that all staff members only needed to work until six o'clock in the evening, with no more than 10 hours of work per day.

So, most of the blacksmiths had already gone back to rest.

However, inside, there were still two figures, one tall and one short, working diligently.

The blacksmith shop echoed with the sound of clanging hammers.

These two figures were none other than Harold and his wife.
