The Escaped Hulk

Dark Wings trembled slightly as Kyle spun through the air, bringing the Dual Hammers crashing down onto the Hulk.

Dual Hammers Verdict!

The Hulk had no room to resist. He fell stiffly from over ten meters in the air, smashing headfirst into the former factory site, which had long since become ruins.

Pfft!

Like a small meteorite falling from space, he struck the ground with tremendous force, sending shattered rocks and dust flying everywhere and blasting out a pit three meters in radius.

Kyle panted heavily as he landed at the edge of the pit. Raising the hammer in his left hand, he stepped forward, ready to press the attack.

Roar!

The Hulk’s flesh was evidently no less durable than Superman’s strength. After enduring so many Heavy Hammer strikes, he still had not lost his fighting ability. He rose to his feet and leaped high out of the pit.

"Keep going!" Kyle licked his lips, holding his hammer forward as his body tensed, entering a state of all-out combat.

But after the Hulk burst out of the pit and let out an extremely unwilling roar at him, he actually turned around without hesitation. With a heavy stomp, he leaped dozens of meters away, his figure vanishing into the wilderness in the opposite direction.

The sight of his back actually carried a hint of fleeing in defeat, leaving Kyle staring in astonishment.

The Hulk had run away?!

That shouldn’t have happened! Even when facing enemies ten or a hundred times stronger than himself, the Hulk would angrily turn into a reckless brute and fight on sight. He knew neither fear nor retreat.

"Right. The Hulk’s personality wasn’t strong enough yet. Bruce’s human personality must be taking over again—he was about to turn back into a human!"

Kyle’s mind raced as he immediately realized this. He knew this was the best opportunity to capture the Hulk!

He was about to pursue the steadily retreating Hulk, but just as the wings behind him spread open, his movement abruptly froze.

"This is…" Kyle’s pupils constricted. The Heavy Hammer forms on both hands began to fade, and even the full-body Venom state could no longer be sustained. Black liquid began to dissolve and drip down like water.

"Sorry, Master," Venom said weakly. The symbiote shifted into the casual-clothes mode that consumed the least energy.

"Master." The transforming metal necklace, Vis, flickered faintly as it explained, "While you were symbiotically merged with Venom, your stamina had been continuously draining at an extreme rate after maintaining the Heavy Hammer combat forms on both hands. You are now nearly exhausted to your limit."

"I know." Kyle gasped for breath, his face slightly pale as sweat poured from his body like rain.

After leaving the full-body state, Kyle went from being at his peak to feeling as though all his stamina had been completely drained.

The intense battle and surging adrenaline from earlier had affected his judgment of his own body. Only now that he had stopped completely and his tense body could relax did he realize just how terrible his condition was.

Tired!

Both his mind and body were utterly exhausted. Every punch in the Heavy Hammer state required him to push and stack the strength of his entire body to the limit, leaving every muscle aching with fatigue.

Hungry!

Extreme hunger gnawed at him. His Divine Body instinctively and desperately needed food to sustain itself. His Healing Factor and body cells seemed to be crying out, craving an adequate supply of nutrients.

Sleepy!

His eyelids felt as heavy as lead, and his sluggish consciousness desperately wanted sleep. He wanted nothing more than to lie down right there and get a good night’s rest!

Just like before, it was the backlash of using Myriad Tendrils, only this time it was even more severe.

That was because it was his first time using the Heavy Hammer form, and he had transformed both hands to sustain such high-intensity combat.

"I actually… got a little carried away." Kyle sighed, able only to tilt his head up slightly and watch the Hulk disappear into the distant night.

At the military vehicles stationed at the field command center.

General Ross was in his vehicle, receiving intelligence reports from scouting soldiers stationed everywhere. However, the battle at the factory ruins had gone quiet five minutes earlier, and no further information had come in.

Just as he put down his headset, a soldier’s voice suddenly called out from outside, "General, Mr. Kyle is back!"

"What?" General Ross was greatly startled. He hurriedly opened the door and went out himself. Sure enough, he saw Kyle walking toward them with a weary expression, surrounded by several armed soldiers.

"Mr. Kyle, are you all right?"

Rather than immediately asking about the Hulk, General Ross asked with deep concern.

"I’m fine. The Hulk ran toward the wilderness. He should be back in human form by now. You can send soldiers to track him down," Kyle replied slowly and weakly.

General Ross did not hesitate for long before directly giving orders to the nearby soldiers, telling them to drive after the target and capture him.

After several armed soldiers left, Kyle entered the vehicle and wearily sat back against the seat.

General Ross looked at him with concern. "Mr. Kyle, you look very weak right now. Should I call a doctor to examine you?"

"No." Kyle shook his head and said softly, "I just need food right now."

"Food?" General Ross paused, then immediately ordered the soldiers to bring over the canned food and compressed biscuits prepared for the field.

Looking at the various cans before him, Kyle was not picky. He casually picked one up, sliced it open with his fingernail, then used a spoon to shovel large chunks of meat into his mouth and devour them.

A few minutes later.

General Ross lowered his head and looked at the empty cans scattered all over the ground beside the vehicle. He swallowed and calmly spoke into the radio, "Bring me more food. Enough for ten people!"

Only after finishing the equivalent of thirty people’s meal portions did Kyle finally put down his spoon and stop eating, though his lower abdomen showed no sign of swelling at all.

"Mr. Kyle, do you want more?" General Ross stepped forward and asked cautiously.

"No. I’m a little full." Kyle let out a breath. The hunger in his stomach had finally disappeared.

General Ross wore a bitter expression.

A little full? You alone had eaten one-third of the food supplies brought for this mission.

"I’m going to sleep. Don’t disturb me unless it’s important."

The moment Kyle finished speaking, before General Ross could respond, he had already closed his eyes and fallen asleep in less than half a second. With the back of his head resting against the seat, he began to snore.

General Ross blinked and remarked with emotion, "The Symbol of Peace truly is an extraordinary man."

One night passed, and dawn arrived.

The old factory site had become a field of ruins. The many horrifying signs of battle left the local residents shocked, and rumors began to spread that gods and demons had fought there the night before.

After the armed soldiers searched for half the night, General Ross finally received an important piece of intelligence—Bruce Banner had arrived at a port on Brazil’s coast, then vanished completely. There was a strong possibility that he had boarded a ship and left Brazil.

Where would Bruce go after leaving Brazil?

General Ross did not need to think long before he had an answer. He promptly issued the appropriate orders. "All soldiers, return to the aircraft. We’re heading back to Base Two! The target must be heading toward the United States!"
