The Final Battle (15)

The orders from the three Six-winged Angels reached every angel. The Two-winged Angels were still locked in fierce formation battles, but the Four-winged Angels who had been conserving their strength were different. The situation immediately underwent a tremendous shift.

One of the local battles was taking place in Vivian’s combat zone.

Ever since Vivian had advanced to a Four-winged Angel, her Combat Power had soared severalfold. She fought with incomparable ferocity and was currently battling a captain from the War Tiger Mecha Division—the highest-ranking officer commanding this Thousand-Man Squad.

"Heh heh, judging by your movements, you must be quite young. I never expected there to be someone so young among the angels!" The War Tiger Captain sneered, showing no mercy with his attacks. The tiger-shaped mech plunged from the sky, its claws crossing as they tore forward in a savage pounce.

"So what if I’m young? I can still crush you!" Vivian snorted prettily. Her body twisted nimbly, evading the ferocious pounce. Then she swept her sword upward, intending to sever the tiger mech’s claws.

However, the enemy she faced now was not like those she had encountered before. The War Tiger Mecha Division’s Combat Power was, overall, among the elite of Prada’s elites—a top-tier fighting force. Its ordinary members were only slightly weaker than Archangel Mechas piloted by Two-winged Angels. As the captain of a Thousand-Man Squad, his Combat Power was even more terrifying, certainly not much weaker than an ordinary Four-winged Angel.

It could be said that if this Thousand-Man Squad captain fought a Two-winged Angel, he would absolutely crush them. His physical abilities were sufficient to push his mech’s performance to a new height.

"You think an attack like that can hit me? Impossible!" The tiger-shaped mech twisted aside as well, dodging Vivian’s sword. Then it lashed its tail like a tiger, the steel-cable-like tail more than ten meters long whipping through the air with a crack and striking Vivian head-on.

"Hm?"

The tail attack came too quickly. Vivian had no time to react before it was already upon her.

"Angel Armor!"

With no time to dodge, Vivian raised her brows and activated Angel Armor. She had not used this divine art throughout the battle until now. She had originally intended to save it for the second wave of attacks, or perhaps the third, but now she had no choice but to use it.

This guy is really strong. I’m already using eighty percent of my power, yet I can only fight him to a draw! Vivian took a breath. The tiger tail struck Angel Armor, sending ripples across it before rebounding without effect.

"A shield ability?" The War Tiger Captain, piloting the tiger-shaped mech, snorted with an ugly expression. Installing a shield on a mech was no easy task. Which shield generator on a warship was not dozens of meters large? They weighed thousands or even tens of thousands of tons. Of course, weight was not the issue; an anti-gravity device could solve that. But with the technology of a Level 7 Civilization, shrinking such a massive device was nearly impossible.

The shields in question were the kind capable of resisting Antimatter Energy Bullets and even the formidable attacks of an angel’s sword. Some shields could be miniaturized, but their Shield Points were far too low to withstand any powerful attack. They were like paper, utterly useless. Having one was worse than having none, since the mech’s own material offered better protection.

"I never expected the angels’ mechs to be equipped with shield technology. Such technology, it really is…" The War Tiger Captain’s expression darkened, but he never imagined that this was not an ability of the mech at all. It was one of the abilities possessed by the angels themselves.

"Distracted? Hmph, then I can’t let you off!" Vivian seemed to sense his lapse in focus. The four feathered wings behind her mech flapped, and she flashed forward at high speed, already arriving before the War Tiger Captain as her sword came down like a streak of light.

Ssh!

The War Tiger Captain retreated explosively, his face grim as he looked at his claws. The tiger-shaped mech had already had both claws severed, becoming a clawless tiger.

Clang, clang.

The two tiger claws fell to the ground. The tiger-shaped mech lost its balance. Originally standing on all fours, it was now supported only by its hind legs, its front claws unable to touch the ground. However, all mechs possessed flight capability, and realizing this, the War Tiger Captain immediately controlled his mech to fly into the air.

"Damn it, she seems to have gotten stronger. She really has gotten stronger!" The War Tiger Captain’s face turned livid.

"Wrong!"

Vivian’s clear voice rang out, brimming with immense confidence. "I haven’t gotten stronger, because this is my true power! Earlier, I was merely conserving my strength to prepare for the second wave of attacks!"

"Damn it, you actually dared to look down on me!" The War Tiger Captain grew even more enraged upon hearing this.

"I originally planned to keep fighting you, but the first wave of attacks is about to end!" Vivian had clearly received information from Angelina. She was not the only one. Dozens of Four-winged Angels across the battlefield had begun exerting their full power. Some had been fighting dozens of War Tiger Mechas alone and had previously been at a disadvantage, but after erupting with their full strength, they immediately drove the opposing War Tiger Mechas back step by step. The situation on the battlefield instantly changed.

"How is this possible? Were these people all hiding their strength?" The War Tiger Captain noticed the drastic change in the battlefield, and his already livid face became even uglier.

"I told you, we were only saving our strength for the battles to come!" Vivian shook her head, then looked up at the clawless tiger-shaped mech hovering in the air. "Our battle should end too!"

"End? It won’t be that simple. My opponents should not be four-winged people like you, but those three Six-winged Angels! My power will definitely defeat them!" The War Tiger Captain said unwillingly. The ones he had always wanted to defeat were not the Four-winged Angels before him, much less the Two-winged Angels, but the strongest Six-winged Angels among the angels.

He wanted to defeat the strongest Six-winged Angels and prove that Prada warriors were the strongest. As a powerhouse who revered Prada above all else, he refused to admit that anyone was stronger than him or Prada Mech Pilots in mech combat. Therefore, he wanted to defeat the strongest angel mech pilots to prove it.

"Die!"

The War Tiger Captain roared and suddenly opened the tiger’s mouth, firing a deeply condensed Antimatter Energy Bullet at high speed.

"Boom!"

The energy bullet moved incredibly fast, instantly striking Vivian’s Archangel Mecha.

Whoosh!

The Archangel Mecha was completely unharmed. Only Angel Armor had dimmed slightly, showing that the Antimatter Energy Bullet had not been entirely useless.

"Not bad. That attack consumed quite a bit of my Angel Power!" Vivian nodded with slight surprise, then snorted. "But this is as far as you go. This battle should end now!"

The Archangel Mecha vanished in a flash, instantly appearing before the claw-broken War Tiger Mecha and launching a kick.

Crack!

At the critical moment, the War Tiger Captain crossed his broken claws before the tiger’s head, forcibly blocking the Archangel Mecha’s heavy kick.

"You fell for it!"

Vivian smiled, twisting her body as she swept her sword upward. With a crack, the enormous tiger head slid away, severed by a single slash.

"Ah!"

The War Tiger Captain cried out, but it was useless. With the War Tiger Mecha’s head severed, its body suffered damage it could not endure and almost immediately lost its fighting capability.

Ssh, ssh, ssh…

Vivian pressed her advantage, striking several more times and severing the War Tiger Mecha’s tail and both hind legs. At this point, the War Tiger Captain’s mech had become a crippled machine with no four claws, no tiger head, and no tiger tail—only a torso remaining. It had completely lost its ability to fight.

The arena determined that the War Tiger Captain had lost his fighting capability and instantly teleported him away.

"Done!"

Vivian smiled and turned her gaze elsewhere.
