#435

The fog dissipates

"I'm finally out." Qin Ming let out a long breath as he and Colorful emerged from underground.

Although the Breath-Holding Pill allowed Qin Ming to avoid breathing underground, staying there for a long time made him feel suffocated.

"Let's go, Colorful. Lead me to Yang Quan," Qin Ming said to Colorful.

He had encountered Yang Quan while searching for the barrier, but since he still had things to do, Qin Ming hadn't disturbed them and had left quietly.

Now that his business was finished, it was time to head towards the distant High Tower.

Yang Quan was trapped in the Canyon, and now that Qin Ming had found a way out, he naturally wanted to help. Yang Quan had treated him well and truly considered him a friend.

"Squeak, squeak." The Ban Lan Rat happily led the way in front.

Soon, Qin Ming found Yang Quan and his group; they were still circling the same spot.

"Yang Quan," Qin Ming called out as he stepped forward.

"Green Cliff Elder." Yang Quan saw Qin Ming and said in surprise, "Green Cliff Elder, I've been worried about your safety. It's truly wonderful that you're alright."

The Twins behind Yang Quan also looked at Qin Ming with excitement.

Qin Ming nodded to them.

That gust of wind had been a sign of the Formation activating. They were quite lucky not to have been separated by the Formation; with their strength, they would have certainly died if they ended up alone.

Seeing Qin Ming appear, the Twin sisters felt their hearts settle.

After Qin Ming left, although Yang Quan continued to protect them as before, they knew it was only for Qin Ming's Face. If anything went wrong, Yang Quan would likely abandon them.

In this Canyon, being abandoned meant only one outcome: death.

They had already obtained the Medicinal Pill to detoxify their father; it would be a waste to die like this.

"Green Cliff Elder, how did you find me?" Yang Quan asked in confusion. They had circled this area over a dozen times and still hadn't found a way out, nor did they know how to look for those who were lost.

Just as Qin Ming was about to give a vague answer, the entire Canyon suddenly began to shake. The Twins fell to the ground with the tremors, and Qin Ming, Yang Quan, and the others watched in shock.

There were five Martial King Martial Artists beside Yang Quan; they surrounded him in the center, nervously observing their surroundings.

After a moment, the shaking stopped, and the mist began to thin out.

"What's happening? It seems the Trapping Formation has been deactivated."

Qin Ming was something of a Formation Master himself, so he immediately understood what was happening: the Formation had been broken.

"It must be because I was underground, channeling Heaven and Earth Spiritual Qi to attack the barrier. I consumed a massive amount of the Secret Realm's Power of Heaven and Earth and took away the spirit-dissolving liquid from the pool. Now, the Canyon's Spiritual Qi and Power of Heaven and Earth are insufficient to run the Formation."

After a brief thought, Qin Ming understood.

The Foundation of a Secret Realm is the Power of Heaven and Earth. Since Qin Ming had consumed so much of it, it was no wonder the Secret Realm was having issues.

This Secret Realm had no controller and operated entirely on its own; now that Qin Ming had damaged it, there were no Experts to repair it.

This was the site of the damage, so the collapse started here first. It was only natural for the Trapping Formation here to be deactivated.

"What's going on? Quick, protect the Young Master!" Once the shaking subsided, the five Martial Kings nervously scanned the area.

The Twins stood slightly behind Qin Ming, looking around in terror, fearing a monster attack.

After figuring it out, Qin Ming stood calmly in place without the slightest panic.

Yang Quan was, after all, a Young Master of a major Family. Once the tremors ended, he regained his composure and said calmly, "I'm fine. Check the surroundings for danger."

"Yes!"

Several Martial Kings replied respectfully, and two of them instinctively began to stand guard at a distance.

"Young Master, the mist seems to be dissipating. We can see into the distance now."

One Martial King said excitedly to Yang Quan. After being trapped for so long and losing contact with their companions, they had all been worried about the Young Master's safety. Now that the mist was vanishing, finding their comrades would be easy.

Their Yang Family had special Signal Flares for communication; once the mist completely cleared, they could find all the lost Martial Kings.
