The Origin of Life? Earth’s Secret? The Heavenly Dregs at the Gates!

Void Gene Extraction Technology!

Though it was only a portion of the technical data, it still held immense value.

Especially for Chu Yang, it was precisely what he urgently needed.

Ever since obtaining that piece of black carapace, Chu Yang had been trying to study it, yet had gained nothing. It felt like a tiger trying to eat a hedgehog—there was simply nowhere to bite.

Neither Lineage Factor Technology nor super gene technology was suitable for researching Void Genes.

Lineage Factors had to be extracted through blood, while super gene technology targeted organisms from the main universe.

Void Creatures were secondary organisms and had no concept of blood. Even if they did, there was no blood within the black carapace, rendering both technologies useless.

Though it was only incomplete data, Chu Yang possessed Pangu. Once the Pangu Calculation Cluster was completed, he could use Stellar Drive Technology to expand Pangu’s computing power without limit.

By then, Pangu would truly stand shoulder to shoulder with the Big Clock!

Carl had been able to create Void Gene Extraction Technology from nothing using the Big Clock and her extremely limited research findings on the Void.

Chu Yang likewise possessed Pangu, which was no weaker than the Big Clock. Reverse-engineering the complete technology from a portion of its data would naturally be no difficult task.

Soul Palace.

After the sharing was complete, everyone looked at Super God Chu Yang with blazing eyes.

Pirate Chu Yang suggested, "Should we just wipe out Carl’s other research bases too?"

"If we can obtain a large amount of Void-related technology, we might even bypass Carl and attempt to connect to the Void ourselves!"

Marvel Chu Yang rolled his eyes. "What are you thinking? Even with the research technology, it still needs experiments for verification and constant trial and error."

"Ding Heige is hailed as the scientific titan of the entire Super God Universe, yet didn’t he still need a scientific practitioner like Kilan to bring his theories and research achievements into reality?"

Xianxia Chu Yang nodded. "That’s true. Even if we mastered the technology, we couldn’t possibly carry out the countless inhumane life experiments Carl did."

Pirate Chu Yang smiled. He had merely been influenced by the One Piece world; his habit of spouting nonsense had awakened, and he had said it casually.

Super God Chu Yang pondered aloud, "Once the Pangu Calculation Cluster is complete, we’ll be able to reverse-engineer the full data for Void Gene Extraction Technology."

"So I’m not worried about the Void right now. Once Carl connects to the Void, that will be our chance to reap the rewards."

"Snake has already infiltrated the upper ranks of the Karl Group. With Little Pangu’s help, obtaining some technical data on Fifth Generation God-Bodies shouldn’t be difficult."

"Then I’ll conduct a complete analysis of Hua Ye. With the data Snake obtains and Pangu’s computing power, we can likewise reverse-engineer Fifth Generation God-Body technology."

"Right now, I’m more interested in Pangu Civilization!"

At his words, everyone’s expressions turned solemn. Magic Chu Yang softly said, "Whether Pangu Civilization ever existed still requires verification. There are some paradoxes involved."

"There must be some kind of secret deep within the Void—the Ultimate Fear Carl spoke of. That means the Ultimate Fear theory is valid."

"If Ultimate Fear is real, then prehistoric civilizations, including Pangu Civilization, must indeed have once existed."

"But then again…"

Magic Chu Yang paused before continuing with a frown, "If prehistoric civilizations truly existed, why didn’t they leave behind even the slightest trace?"

"There is a break in the history of the Super God Universe, but what caused it?"

Super God Chu Yang nodded. "That’s exactly what I want to find out!"

"There must be some secret behind that historical break. Do you think…"

"Could it have something to do with Earth?"

His words left everyone stunned.

A moment later, Great Ming Chu Yang’s eyes lit up.

"You mean… the reason the major civilizations have their eyes on Earth is because they came for the truth about history?"

Super God Chu Yang shrugged. "That’s only my guess. There are simply too many suspicious points in the Super God World."

"First, there’s the historical break. Then there’s the concept of Ultimate Fear. And then there’s the reason the major civilizations are focused on Earth."

"Sun Wukong is a genetic code hidden within mythology. That is an undeniable fact. But the question is…"

"Du Kao and the remnants of the Deno Star System have been on Earth for years. They must have conducted some research into myths and legends."

"If there were other genetic codes hidden in mythology, they would have discovered them long ago."

As he analyzed the matter, Super God Chu Yang said, "So before I revealed my strength, the major civilizations definitely didn’t come to Earth for the so-called secrets hidden in myths and legends!"

"And every civilization that has gotten involved in Earth’s mess is an advanced civilization of the universe. They seem to share some unspoken understanding."

"Why? Because Earth will become an extension of Shenhe Civilization?"

"Or because Earth is developing rapidly and could become the next Shenhe Civilization?"

Demon Slayer Chu Yang said gravely, "Clearly, neither is the case. But I feel that Earth probably has little to do with the historical break. After all, Earth’s history of life is short…"

His voice abruptly stopped there, and everyone else’s eyes widened as well.

Earth’s history of life was short, but then again…

The origin of life on Earth was rather thought-provoking!

Most hypotheses about the origin of life on Earth placed it billions, even tens of billions of years ago. Some even claimed that Earth’s earliest life had arrived alongside a falling extraterrestrial meteorite.

Yet no matter which possibility was true, it dated back far beyond a hundred thousand years!

And besides, if Sun Wukong was a genetic code sleeping within mythology, then who had created him before that genetic code fell dormant?

Sun Wukong’s uniqueness, along with his terrifying ability to grow stronger against stronger opponents, made him an "anomaly" unlike the super soldiers of the major civilizations.

"I think the truth may be even more shocking than we imagine!" Fengyun Chu Yang’s eyes shone brightly.

Super God Chu Yang smiled. "That’s why I want to uncover the truth. And I think that if we can meet Kilan, perhaps he can help us connect many of the clues."

Carl could deduce Ultimate Fear and even point directly toward the Void and prehistoric civilizations. Why couldn’t Ding Heige and Kilan do the same?

Carl was indeed a genius, but she had ultimately borrowed the wisdom of her predecessors. In terms of sheer genius, both Ding Heige and Kilan far surpassed her.

So from every perspective, they were both likely to know some of the truth—or at least have deeper theories regarding it.

Unfortunately, Ding Heige had died long ago. Otherwise, Chu Yang would have tracked him down and made him his personal scientist.

When it came to the most turbulent places in the Known Universe at present, Angel Civilization, the Woma Star System, and Earth undoubtedly ranked foremost.

Ever since Chu Yang’s forceful rise, his creation of the Void Battlefield, and the establishment of the War Council, Earth had become the focus of the universe at all times, even without taking any action.

The Angels’ old king had fallen and a new king had ascended the throne. With troubles both within and without, whether this former Universe Overlord would fall into obscurity or continue its legend had become a key concern for the major civilizations.

Then there was the Woma Star System, whose situation was so absurd that it was almost laughable.

Excluded from the War Council and plunged into war, it was even an internal conflict, turning the Woma Star System into the favorite topic of conversation among the universe’s major civilizations.

Most importantly, the root cause of it all was the Woma Star System’s spoiled second-generation prince publicly challenging Chu Yang at the War Council.

Offending Chu Yang would have been bad enough, but the War Council had successfully been established, causing Woma Civilization to directly stand against the major civilizations.

Rumor had it that the aged old emperor had nearly died of rage, then beaten Wall half to death with his cane.

Originally, these events would at most have made the Woma Star System a laughingstock. But not long ago, the Styx Galaxy mobilized its army and headed straight for Woma!

At the same time, news spread that people from Woma Civilization had actually destroyed one of Carl’s research bases and tried to loot its research data, only to lose more than they gained.

Among the people whom the major civilizations of the Known Universe were least willing to offend, Chu Yang undoubtedly ranked first, followed by Carl.

The former possessed absolute strength, while the latter was a complete and utter madwoman.

What was there that someone who dared to kill Holy Keisha would not dare to do?

And she had something to rely on: the Big Clock. She had even helped Morgana and Hua Ye upgrade to Fourth Generation God Bodies.

That meant Carl possessed mature Fourth Generation God-Body technology.

An existence capable of crushing most advanced civilizations in both technological and power levels absolutely qualified as a hegemon of the universe.

Had Chu Yang not appeared, after Holy Keisha’s fall, Carl might even have become the uncrowned king among the gods of the universe.

Thus, the major civilizations all focused their attention on the Woma Star System. On one hand, they wanted to see whether the Styx Legion could wipe out Woma in one stroke.

Carl might be powerful, but the Styx Legion was not much stronger than the former Taotie Legion. Besides, Woma Civilization was no soft persimmon to be squeezed at will; it possessed deep foundations.

On the other hand, the major civilizations wanted to see the War Council’s attitude toward this matter.

Neither the Dark Nebula nor Woma Civilization was protected by the War Council or the War Edicts, and neither possessed the right to wage war.

In this situation, would the War Council stand by and watch, or would it punish both sides equally?

Neither outcome would affect the War Council’s prestige, but with the mentality of watching a spectacle, everyone naturally wanted to know the War Council’s—or rather, Chu Yang’s—stance.

Most importantly, since the War Council’s establishment, Chu Yang had yet to make a move against civilizations that were not members.

But everyone knew that for the War Edicts to cover the entire Known Universe, all opposing voices would have to be dealt with.

Thus, anyone with clear eyes could see that this was an excellent opportunity for the War Council—and for Chu Yang—to make an example of someone!

Yet some figures who had reached a certain level saw through the essence of the matter.

Carl appeared to be mobilizing an army against the Woma Star System with great fanfare, but in truth, she was still using Styx as a disposable pawn.

Even if the Styx Legion was wiped out, Carl would not feel any heartache.

But if Chu Yang intervened in this matter, he would be too occupied to focus elsewhere for a while.

That would give Carl plenty of time to stir up trouble elsewhere in the universe.

For instance… the Angel Nebula!

Woma Star System, Woma Planet.

Chu Yang floated in space, raised his hand to store away the shuttle-shaped spacecraft, then established a connection with Earth through Pangu and forcibly opened a call with Sun Wukong.

"Brother Monkey, Hua Ye has already led the Heavenly Dregs Legion to the Angel Nebula. According to my agreement with Yan, you need to go provide support."

Sun Wukong said somewhat helplessly, "I, Old Sun, said I was going into seclusion. How long has it even been?"

Chu Yang smiled. "The situation is better than I expected. The various civilizations of the War Council have all sent some forces to provide support."

"Without the Black Hole Engine, Hua Ye has no chance of breaking through the One-Nine Defense Line with He Xi holding it."

"So you only need to send a clone over to put on a show."

Sun Wukong hesitated. "Wouldn’t the Angels be dissatisfied if we did that?"

Chu Yang said indifferently, "Don’t worry! I’ve already reached an understanding with He Xi."

"Without the Black Hole Engine, that anomaly, this war will ultimately become Yan’s final trial before her ascension as the new king."

"He Xi is more than happy to let Hua Ye serve as Yan’s whetstone."

"Other than Hua Ye, how many people in the Heavenly Dregs Legion can threaten your clone?"

Sun Wukong laughed heartily. "Good! Then I, Old Sun, will do as you say!"

After ending the call, Chu Yang broke through the Sacred Knowledge Vault’s information blockade and established contact with Leopard, who was far away in the Angel Nebula.

It was from Leopard that he had just learned of the Heavenly Dregs army pressing in. He had then ordered Leopard to investigate the details while contacting Sun Wukong himself.

"How is the situation?" Chu Yang asked directly.

Leopard respectfully reported, "Master, I investigated the Heavenly Dregs Legion and discovered that besides Hua Ye, there are two other powerful dark energy fluctuations, belonging to Ruo Ning and Su Mali respectively."

"They have not upgraded to Fourth Generation God Bodies, but they seem to possess strength no weaker than the king level!"

Chu Yang narrowed his eyes. "It seems Carl truly intends to focus on the Angels—or rather, the Shadow World. That’s why she enhanced Su Mali and Ruo Ning’s strength."

"How are the Council allied forces doing?"

The Council allied forces were the army formed by the various civilizations of the War Council.

The allied force was not large, but every civilization had sent several powerful fighters, so its overall strength could not be underestimated.

Leopard replied again, "Most of the allied forces consist of Second Generation God Bodies. There are more than a dozen Third Generation God Bodies, but only one has reached general level."

General level was a concept between Third Generation God Bodies and Fourth Generation God Bodies, much like king level was stronger than ordinary Fourth Generation God Bodies.

Chu Yang smiled. "Keep a close watch on the situation there. If you find the Heavenly Dregs falling into a disadvantage, you can create some trouble behind the Angels’ lines."

The Council’s civilizations had clearly held something back rather than offering their full support, while the Heavenly Dregs camp had gained stronger high-level combatants.

Coupled with Sun Wukong sending only a clone, the balance of this war would become deadlocked as one side weakened and the other strengthened.

And that was exactly what Chu Yang wanted to see!

Hadn’t Carl gone to all this trouble just to create an opportunity for herself to connect the Shadow World to the Void?

Chu Yang was simply going along with the flow, helping her "hold back" the Angels!

After cutting off the communication, Chu Yang glanced toward the Dark Nebula and muttered, "Carl, don’t disappoint me!"
