The Overwhelming Summoner, Mercenary Tao

Tōyama Nankai’s entire body was wrapped in lightning-like Nen Aura. The aura continuously transformed into powerful currents that stimulated his nerves and cellular activity, granting him mobility far beyond that of ordinary Reincarnators.

Combined with his Godspeed trait, Tōyama Nankai moved with incredible speed across land. In what seemed like an instant, he left behind hundreds of afterimages and vanished before the terrifying sword light that had shattered the mountain rock.

He turned back and saw the black-armored female knight. Her platinum-blond hair was tied up, and though she was not tall, terrifying waves of magical power radiated from her entire body.

"Black Saber… What is this…?"

Tōyama Nankai had no time to think. The air behind him had already let out a wail. His breath sank, and he brought his hands together in front of him.

Crackle—boom!

Amid thunder exploding from thin air, Uchiha Madara’s massive Susanoo swung its blade through empty space. The terrifying force of the slash and its Chakra fluctuations directly cleaved apart the coastline.

The enormous deep-blue Susanoo stood over two hundred meters tall. Its blade slashed across the air, shattering the coast before continuing unabated into the sea.

The waves exploded in an instant.

The hairs on Tōyama Nankai’s body stood on end. The shudder of death brushing past him rose inch by inch from the base of his spine.

This guy… wasn’t cosplay. He was the real… Uchiha Madara!

That Chakra, that oppressive presence…

Tōyama Nankai had entered the Naruto World before and had even fought several Kage-level Ninja, but he had never encountered pressure this terrifying.

Then, from the corner of his eye, Tōyama Nankai saw the female knight on the other side raise her pitch-black demonic sword once more. With a single slash, black-red sword light swept out amid terrifying magical power, completely shattering his afterimages.

Black Saber wasn’t cosplay either. This Reincarnator who had entered the first round of the Take Mikazuchi selection with him was someone akin to a summoner.

He sprinted at top speed, crossing more than ten kilometers in an instant. He sensed the electrons beginning to emerge in the environment from the currents formed by the Nen Aura he had scattered while running.

A feeling of having everything under control began to rise within him.

He kept running. In just a few dozen seconds, he had even circled the entire volcanic island once. He successfully dodged several attacks from Uchiha Madara and Artoria, covering the entire island in the unique electrical charges of his Nen Aura.

Watching the massive Susanoo chase after him while Black Saber remained farther away, endlessly swinging slashes that nearly split the island apart, Tōyama Nankai gradually calmed down.

The enemy was indeed powerful. These two summoned Plot Characters were both terrifyingly strong. Ordinary Reincarnators probably could not match them at all and would have difficulty even escaping.

Fortunately, he was extremely fast, and besides…

Tōyama Nankai suddenly stopped. He clasped his hands together in front of him once more.

Crackle—

Intense electric light flashed over his body, enveloping him completely.

Move Like Thunder!

Compared to Killua Zoldyck’s original Nen Ability, which merely used electric currents to stimulate his body, Tōyama Nankai had taken things to a far more extreme and thorough level. In that instant, a new trait emerged within his cells, and his entire body began to assume a state resembling Elementalization.

At the instant the black-red sword light struck.

Electric light surged in Tōyama Nankai’s eyes. The next moment, amid the crackle of lightning, he crossed dozens of kilometers in an instant and passed directly by the complete Susanoo.

He was so fast that even Uchiha Madara’s Sharingan failed to catch any trace of him. There was only the sound of air tearing apart, and then the space before Madara’s eyes was empty.

But Uchiha Madara possessed immense combat experience. He turned around in an instant and, sure enough, saw that figure appear behind the black-armored knight. Lightning in his hand formed a spear that seemed to stretch across dozens of kilometers, piercing through the girl’s chest.

Great Thunder Spear!

Artoria frowned. Though her Magic Resistance was weaker than that of her original body, it was still far greater than that of ordinary Reincarnators.

The lightning piercing her body did not rob her of mobility. Acting on instinct, she swung her sword back.

Crack!

Tōyama Nankai’s movements began to resemble a frame-skipping animation. He vanished again in an instant, and another lightning spear exploded forth. Yet Tōyama Nankai, who had just appeared, felt a chill in his heart as the black-red sword light changed direction midair and slashed directly at the spot where he had appeared.

Crack!

Tōyama Nankai widened the distance by another dozen kilometers. As long as the electrical currents from his Nen Aura remained on this island, he could connect any two points at will and use the effects of Elementalization to cross the distance directly.

He was truly moving and attacking at the speed of lightning.

In other words, no matter how fast someone’s neural reflexes were, it was nearly impossible for them to react to his movements.

Only someone with extraordinary intuition like Artoria could attack the place where he would appear in advance, almost as if through prophecy.

Tōyama Nankai frowned. He was under immense pressure now. This state consumed terrifying amounts of Nen Aura and placed an equally terrifying burden on his body.

Yet Uchiha Madara’s defenses and Artoria’s resistance were both extremely troublesome.

He realized that he lacked the explosive power needed to instantly kill enemies of this level.

Keeping the two powerful Plot Characters in the corner of his eye, Tōyama Nankai considered his options. The only path left was likely to find the summoner behind all this and take him down directly.

Fortunately, his rapid movement earlier had already allowed him to confirm nearly every location on this island. The only place the other party could be hiding was…

At a thought from Tōyama Nankai, electric light flashed again.

Crack!

Against the backdrop of the rolling sea, a bolt of lightning was like a Spear of Thunder slashing upward toward the sky.

Dazzling lightning shot straight upward, stabbing toward the volcano crater.

"You’re hiding here!"

Wrapped in blue-white lightning, Tōyama Nankai appeared out of thin air above the crater amid a thunderclap. Then he saw the man sitting cross-legged atop the volcano.

Strange long hair that was half black and half white, an odd trench coat with a dark green inner lining, and that distinctive ugly scarlet face.

"Uh… you…"

Lightning crackled endlessly in Tōyama Nankai’s palm, and the Great Thunder Spear could erupt at any moment. Yet as he stared at the person before him, he froze.

How could he not recognize that face, that outfit? Rather, in the East District of Infinite Dimension—and even in other districts—there were few Reincarnators who would not recognize this appearance.

"Mercenary Tao…"

With a dry voice, Bai Cangshu lightly clapped his hands.

"Not bad Nen Ability. In terms of mobility, you are indeed outstanding."

Tōyama Nankai clenched and loosened his right fist. The Nen Aura in his palm repeatedly tried to gather before being forcibly dispersed.

He had practically frozen in place in an instant.

How could the summoner be this guy…

What kind of joke was this? Mercenary Tao was a summoner?!

He did not respond to Mercenary Tao’s praise. Before this, he had even believed that after obtaining the hidden title Take Mikazuchi, his Nen Ability would give him the strength to fight Mercenary Tao.

Perhaps in the future, he could avenge the countless innocent people who had died in Japan, but…

"Oh my, oh my. Sorry, Host-kun. I was careless. I actually let him find us so easily~"

The tone was relaxed and teasing, the attitude utterly unconcerned.

From the corner of his eye, Tōyama Nankai saw a man hanging upside down in the sky behind him, having appeared at some unknown time.

Because the other party had never approached the ground, Tōyama Nankai’s Nen Aura had failed to detect him. But then he realized something was wrong.

That silver-white hair, those eyes that seemed to contain blue skies and drifting white clouds, and that black Jujutsu Kaisen technical college uniform… This guy was Satoru Gojo!

So Mercenary Tao had summoned not only Black Saber and Uchiha Madara from the very beginning, but also Satoru Gojo!

Lightning instinctively erupted from Tōyama Nankai’s body. With a crackle, yet nothing happened.

Satoru Gojo instantly appeared behind Tōyama Nankai and placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Hey, your super-speed movement ability depends on those special electrons in the air, right~?"

"I cut them off."

His Six Eyes were incredibly sensitive to energy flow. After fully accepting his own "fall into evil," both the intensity of his cursed energy and his control over Limitless had advanced even further.

Even completely using cursed energy to isolate other forms of energy and disrupt the links between other energies and techniques was no challenge for him.

Though he kept saying he was sorry and careless, it was really just his twisted sense of humor. He had deliberately indulged Tōyama Nankai and had not taken the initiative to join Uchiha Madara and Artoria’s siege.

In his view, most Reincarnators could not match the full-force attacks of those two and could only rely on novel abilities to delay them.

Besides, it was not just him. How much effort could those two really be said to have put in?

He knew very well that Uchiha Madara was much stronger than his former self, especially those eyes, which were extremely dangerous. Yet Madara rarely used them in battle.

Satoru Gojo lowered his eyelids, his expression unrestrained.

For someone at this level, why would we need to join forces?

That meaning was perfectly clear to Bai Cangshu.

Tōyama Nankai still had one trump card, an item. But after his hand trembled a few times, he ultimately gave up on using it.

Though no one would die in the title contest, consumable items were gone once used.

If it had been an ordinary summoner, even if they had summoned these three Plot Characters, he would likely still have gambled on forcibly killing the Reincarnator’s true body.

But… this summoner was Mercenary Tao…

"Giving up?"

Bai Cangshu watched the Reincarnator who stood motionless, having lost the will to fight. The wildly beating heart had returned to calm, and Bai Cangshu felt somewhat disappointed.

This Reincarnator did possess some talent. Whether it was his special status as a dual-attribute specialized Reincarnator or his development of his Nen Ability, he likely held considerable advantages over ordinary High-tier Reincarnators.

He was the type who constructed his abilities to forcibly gain an overwhelming advantage in speed.

Unfortunately, this was as far as he went.

"I rate you B. If you are willing to join Paradise, you can take this rating to Black Butler. He will explain the subsequent arrangements to you."

Tōyama Nankai was stunned, then raised his head. Was Mercenary Tao recruiting him?

What did B mean? Was it Mercenary Tao’s classification for Reincarnators?

Before he could ask, Satoru Gojo, who understood Bai Cangshu’s intent, erupted with cursed energy in his hand.

Pop!

Tōyama Nankai’s head exploded directly.

Hidden Legendary Title: Take Mikazuchi, First-Round Selection, Passed
Second-round selection begins now
Second round: Bye

The man holding a golden scepter had remarkably dark skin. Golden ornaments hung from his neck, wrists, and ankles; it was impossible to tell whether they were some kind of items or merely decorations.

His hair flowed loosely behind his head, and he held his chin slightly high. After three rounds of battle, he had entered the final match for the hidden title Take Mikazuchi as he had wished.

Though he knew perfectly well that he had fought one more round than the normal process required, likely because someone had received a bye and he had happened to fight that person once.

Randy did not care about such matters. In this competition, there would be no exhaustion or poor condition.

After every round, the space completely restored one’s condition. Even one’s spirit became unusually excited.

As a Reincarnator who had entered the space in the previous cycle, his special dual-attribute specialization had caused the space’s "even stat allocation" to make his early growth painfully slow, exposing him to more dangers.

Randy’s composure had long since been tempered through hardship. Unlike his hot-tempered compatriots, he was calm.

He was certain that he was the best possible holder of the title Take Mikazuchi.

His overwhelming defeats of his first three opponents were proof enough.

Hidden Legendary Title: Take Mikazuchi, Title Deciding Battle
World: Yu-Gi-Oh! Ancient Egypt P97
Mission: Win
Special Mode: Note: This world will not yield any rewards. Before a Reincarnator dies, the space will forcibly recall them.

The vast desert below and the city surrounding the pyramids made Randy even more certain that the space seemed to have foreseen that he would claim this title.

Even the randomly generated mission world had brought him to his homeland.

This was some arrangement ordained by fate.

Crackle—

A faintly numbing current flashed around him. It was clearly some kind of detection ability that used electricity.

The Reincarnators invited to compete for the title Take Mikazuchi all basically possessed lightning-based energy. Such detection was a very basic application.

He stood suspended in the air, looking down below. The next second, he closed his eyes.

Mantra!

As Mantra spread outward, an equally imperceptible current expanded from him, encompassing an area dozens of kilometers wide in an instant.

Almost immediately, he sensed the man standing in the desert dozens of kilometers away.

The other party was slowly walking through the desert toward him.

Separated by dozens of kilometers, Randy raised his hand.

"Heaven’s Punishment!"

Thunderclouds churned across the sky in an instant. With a crackle, an enormous bolt of lightning several meters thick fell from the clouds and struck the other party directly without obstruction.

Randy’s gaze was indifferent. The next moment, he saw the other party walk out of the scorched yellow sand as though nothing had happened, crossing several hundred meters with each step.

"It’s useless. Once I hit you even once, the charge has already locked onto you. No matter how fast you are, there’s no—"

Boom!

Lightning struck again, but Randy’s pupils contracted the next moment as a figure appeared directly in front of him.

Golden aura gathered at the other party’s fingertips, then pierced straight through Randy’s brow.

Pop—boom!

The aura shot down from the sky into the desert below, triggering an enormous explosion.

Within that ancient city, one stone tablet after another began to light up. Then, amid fluctuations of magical power, monsters began to appear one after another.

Bai Cangshu looked away from the Reincarnator before him, who had most likely enhanced a complete Rumble-Rumble Fruit. The changes in the city below caught his attention.

"Domain Expansion: Unlimited Void~"

Satoru Gojo’s voice rang out. He seemed to appear in front of Randy out of thin air as pitch-black cursed energy erupted in an instant.

Randy was startled, but Armament Haki covered his entire body the next moment. Then, with fury at being ignored, Conqueror’s Haki erupted from him.

Bai Cangshu, who had already descended downward, turned back and realized that he had underestimated this opponent in the final.

The other party was not a worthless fool who relied entirely on a Devil Fruit Ability. At a thought, Kirin Armor appeared. He reached toward the barrier enveloped by Unlimited Void and pulled backward.

The air was like a valve being emptied, and powerful suction emerged.

Satoru Gojo immediately understood and dispelled the Domain Expansion. Randy’s body was instantly dragged downward. Electric light flashed over his body as he tried to enter Elementalization, but a bolt of black lightning pierced through him, interrupting it.

Conqueror’s Haki Infusion!

The next moment, Randy felt an unmatched force clear all the air before him. Amid agonizing pain, the Armament Haki over his chest began to shatter, and he felt as though the entire world had been flung away.

Whoosh—boom!

Randy crashed directly into the royal city, ploughing a trench thousands of meters long before finally coming to a stop in front of the pyramid.
