The Panel’s New Functions

There wasn’t really anything in particular that needed explaining.

Jack was managing the company, so Li Chuan usually barely had to deal with it. Even if he was gone for a year or two, nothing would go wrong.

Uncle Li was in charge of the base, so there wouldn’t be much of a problem there either.

And if there really was a problem, the warriors led by Xiao San, Xiao Liu, and Xiao Wu—whose bodies had been enhanced and who had been injected with the Extremis virus—were no pushovers. There were also the newly joined Inhumans.

Once he had finished making all the calls, the Octopus spaceship had completed its adjustments as well.

"Let’s go!"

After giving Uncle Li his instructions, Li Chuan took Wanda’s hand and entered the spaceship.

At that moment, Gamora, dressed in green, was already seated in the pilot’s seat, working the controls before her.

"The ship will take off in three minutes. You’d better sit in the back and fasten your seat belts in advance."

Nebula, sitting in the co-pilot’s seat beside her, inserted her metal fingers into a port and began loading the Milky Way’s interstellar star map.

Hearing that, Li Chuan formed a Daoist Hand Seal. A white cloud instantly lifted him and the Scarlet Witch, carrying them to the glass wall with the best view in the spaceship.

"Don’t worry about us. Just focus on flying the ship."

With his and Wanda’s strength, even if the spaceship broke apart in the sky, they wouldn’t be in any danger. At worst, they could simply fly away on their swords.

Gamora did not waste any words. She pressed the activation button and shoved the control lever all the way down.

The ceiling above Sokovia Scientific Laboratory’s main hall slowly opened. The Octopus spaceship blasted out eight streams of flame, transformed into a streak of light, and vanished.

"Earth really is beautiful from up here!"

Inside the spaceship, Wanda could not help sighing as she looked through the glass at Earth growing smaller and smaller.

Li Chuan nodded in agreement.

Although he often saw scenes like this in space on his phone and television, flying beyond Earth and witnessing it in person was a completely different feeling, a completely different kind of awe.

Especially since, unlike Wanda, who was simply marveling at the view, Li Chuan was also thinking of the powerful beings in this world.

Even with his current strength, seeing the sky and Earth still made him feel insignificant.

Eternity, which represented the universe itself; the Celestials, who had created the sun and planets; and those demonic gods who devoured worlds or created dimensions of their own—just how powerful were they?

"Nebula, roughly how long until we reach Xandar?"

"If nothing goes wrong, at this ship’s speed, we’ll reach the wormhole closest to Earth in about ten days. Then we’ll fly another five days to reach another wormhole. After passing through that wormhole and flying for another ten days, we’ll arrive at Xandar.

The main issue is that this ship’s performance is still too poor. It’s much slower than normal spaceships."

Nebula could not help complaining as she answered.

There was nothing she could do about it. Although her chip contained some information about spaceship design, she was not a professional. Like her sister Gamora, her specialty was espionage, infiltration, and assassination.

So when building the spaceship, she had not been the primary builder. The main builders had been Ivan and the other professional human scientists.

Many spaceship parts and devices that could be bought easily in the universe simply did not exist on Earth. Ivan and the other human scientists had needed to find substitutes based on Nebula’s descriptions or figure out how to replicate them.

The spaceship could still be used normally in the end, but its performance was naturally much worse.

"Twenty-five days. Not bad. That’s not too long."

Li Chuan nodded. He had originally thought it would take at least one or two months.

Twenty-two days later, after passing through two wormholes, they were only three days away from their destination, Xandar.

That day, Li Chuan, who had long since lost interest in the scenery of outer space, was cultivating with Wanda in their room.

Interstellar travel was like that. At first, everything felt astonishing, but if one flew for too long without encountering any new planets with life, it became dull.

After all, most of the scenery in outer space looked the same.

After having Wanda go find Gamora and the others first, Li Chuan returned to the room and began examining his upgraded panel.

"It can actually control time now!"

A moment later, after checking the entire panel, he had figured out all of its upgraded functions.

There had not actually been any major changes. It had merely gained two abilities related to controlling time.

The first was that he could now freely control how much time he spent entering Minor Worlds.

Previously, if he accumulated one or two years of time through missions, then once he chose to enter a Minor World, all that accumulated time would be used up at once.

When he returned to the main world, he would definitely have no time remaining.

But things were different now. Before entering a Minor World, he could set in advance how much time he wanted to spend.

For example, if he currently had a year and a half of Minor World time, then when entering any Minor World, he could choose to spend two months. After returning from that Minor World two months later, he would still have one year and four months left.

If he wished, he could even use that year and a half of Minor World time to enter three Minor Worlds in succession.

The advantage was that if he needed to visit a Minor World to take care of something in the future, he would no longer need to worry so much about time. Spending a little would not affect his entry into the next world.

Just like before, when he had been constantly accumulating Minor World time so that he would have enough time to visit the world of The Legend of the Swordsmen, not daring to enter either of the other two Minor Worlds.

If a similar situation came up now, he could simply spend a very small amount of time to handle the matter.

The second ability was also related to controlling time, but unlike the first, it controlled the time of Minor Worlds.

According to the panel’s explanation, every time Li Chuan left the main world, the panel would use the law of time to anchor a specific point in time. When he returned from a Minor World, it would still be that same point in time.

Thus, people in the main world would feel as though Li Chuan had never left.

The same principle applied to Minor Worlds. Every time Li Chuan entered one, he would return to the point in time when he had left, so the people in each Minor World would not feel that he had ever departed.

Now, that authority had been placed in Li Chuan’s hands.

Whether it was the main world or a Minor World, he could choose whether to anchor a point in time when he left.
