The Scent of Armpit Hair

"Divine Light Rod!"

Allen pulled out a plastic-looking controller and struck Ultraman’s pre-transformation pose in front of the squirming Dr. Berlin.

"I designed three settings. Doctor, get used to them in advance."

The three settings were strong, super strong, and extremely strong. Weak and medium had not been considered at all.

Click!

The button was pushed to the strong setting.

Dr. Berlin’s expression instantly froze, and his eyeballs nearly bulged out.

His entire body began trembling uncontrollably, and his legs shook like sieves.

Allen shut off the controller.

Haa…

Dr. Berlin let out a long breath of relief.

"Next, I’ll demonstrate Morse code. Long and short intervals can be used to transmit messages."

Allen continuously adjusted the switch in his hand, while Dr. Berlin’s expression kept changing—at times ferocious, at times twisted, at times numb…

The women of the Birds of Prey all revealed looks of disgust.

Still, they rather admired Dr. Berlin’s endurance.

"Doctor, does it feel good?"

Allen rapidly flicked the switch, not giving Dr. Berlin any chance to speak.

"My invention has to have something special about it. Otherwise, how would it be any different from the fake dicks sold in adult stores?"

Allen did not forget to turn around and explain to the women. "The Big Cock can expand when exposed to water, filling the space and locking itself in place so it won’t fall out. Isn’t that very user-friendly? And even better, once it enters the extremely strong setting, it automatically senses changes in the target’s body temperature and emits seven-colored flashing lights. It can even deliver a mild current to make things more interesting."

However, the women’s attention remained fixed on Dr. Berlin.

At that moment, the sixty-year-old Dr. Berlin wore a ferociously twisted expression, clawing at his ears and scratching his head to ease an indescribable sensation.

With a thud.

Dr. Berlin collapsed onto the floor, his eyes rolling upward until only the whites showed. Glittering drool spilled from the corners of his mouth.

"Oh no… how did I switch it to the extremely strong setting?"

Allen had accidentally adjusted it to the extremely strong setting. No wonder Dr. Berlin had become so utterly disoriented.

At the same time, a strange buzzing sound came from the metal case.

The women all shot him suspicious looks.

Allen shyly turned his head aside and said awkwardly, "I didn’t just make one Big Cock dart. I made a whole set."

"…"

At that same moment, the thought rose in every woman’s mind: this man must never be made an enemy.

Just imagining themselves being ravaged by Big Cock darts made their bodies shudder uncontrollably.

Too vicious.

How could he be so cruel?

Click!

The Divine Light Rod was turned off.

Dr. Berlin’s eyes had completely lost focus. His body twitched now and then, and he wore an expression of utter despair.

Allen could not help asking himself, "Am I rewarding an enemy, or punishing one?"

"…"

No one could answer that.

It mainly depended on whether the person had any shame.

In the outskirts of New York, there was a refrigerated warehouse.

This was one of the many bases established by Umbrella Corporation.

Generally speaking, building in sparsely populated areas greatly reduced the risk of the location being exposed.

Moreover, because it was a refrigerated warehouse, frozen transport trucks frequently came and went, carrying research materials. It looked perfectly reasonable and served as an effective cover.

Building an underground base within the city was no easy task.

The underground areas of a city were filled with facilities such as sewer pipes. Countless departments had to review and supervise construction, so it was impossible to quietly complete such a massive project.

Dr. Berlin took the elevator directly down into the underground structure.

Ding…

With a crisp chime.

The elevator doors opened, revealing Umbrella Corporation’s true work area.

Dr. Berlin stepped out of the elevator with his legs held in an unnatural posture.

The first area was security screening. Everyone had to undergo a full-body scan to prevent returning employees from bringing in prohibited items. It could also detect electronic espionage devices, since they were engaged in business that could not see the light of day.

As he passed through the doorframe-like scanning device, the Black man responsible for screening looked at Dr. Berlin and gave him a knowing smile.

The Black security guard flicked his long dreadlocks, licked his lips, and revealed a wicked gleam in his eyes, as if saying, So that’s what you’re into, Doctor.

The scan displayed on the computer screen showed an extra long, rod-shaped foreign object inside Dr. Berlin’s body.

"Welcome back, Dr. Berlin."

The Black security guard licked his thick lips again, his eyes fixed on Dr. Berlin as though he were prey.

Mm…

Perhaps Dr. Berlin felt guilty, or perhaps he sensed that something was off about the man. He merely nodded slightly and hurried in small steps toward his private office.

The Black security guard watched Dr. Berlin’s retreating figure with lingering reluctance. Looking at his swaying wide hips, he could not help murmuring softly, "Bitch."

Back in his office.

The only thing Dr. Berlin could do was wait and see.

The first step was for Allen to lead the Birds of Prey in a surprise attack, forcing Umbrella Corporation to abandon this base and allowing Dr. Berlin to be reassigned elsewhere as a matter of course.

Dr. Berlin held the highest authority in this base, so he knew exactly what kind of work was being conducted there.

Using the T-Virus as a foundational template, they were combining it with Facehugger genes to develop controllable biological weapons.

However, progress had always been painfully slow, and it had even come to a complete standstill.

The origins of the Xenomorphs were tied to the Engineers Civilization. Naturally, they were not something humanity’s current biotechnology could profane.

Thus, the project had remained in the research stage and had never been successfully put into practical use.

Outside the base.

Allen and the five women hid in the distant woods.

Trying to quietly attack the base was basically wishful thinking.

Numerous surveillance cameras were hidden everywhere. The slightest appearance would trigger their alertness.

Furthermore, the base normally housed two special tactical squads, each no inferior to any elite special forces unit in the world. Not to mention the Red Queen AI maintaining the base’s operations.

"Why don’t we just give up?" Pamela suggested.

Poison Ivy’s ability was to control plants. Being in the woods gave her what could be called home-field advantage.

But in reality, all it took was a flamethrower burning the plants to render her helpless.

"Never give up, oh yeah!"

Allen took five shovels from the metal case and tossed them to the five women. Encouragingly, he said, "We’ll use Plan B: tunnel warfare. You work hard at digging. I’ll be responsible for keeping watch."

"…"

The five women looked at one another, with no intention of lifting a hand.

Digging a tunnel leading to an Umbrella Corporation base was simply not a method any normal person should have come up with.

And he himself lay on the grass with one leg crossed over the other, a blade of grass in his mouth, acting as though it had nothing to do with him.

Working for nothing.

Not even dogs would do it.

"Someone’s coming!"

The five women quickly lay flat in the weeds, concealing themselves as they watched a helicopter approach through the sky.

Whoosh…

Before they could see who it was, an anti-aircraft missile shot out from the direction of the refrigerated warehouse.

Boom!

The missile struck the helicopter, turning it into a ball of flames at an altitude of around ten meters.

Before the impact, everyone aboard the helicopter had escaped.

"It’s the Suicide Squad!"

Harley recognized the escapees from their appearance. They had once been her teammates.

The Suicide Squad, which belonged to The Hand, was undoubtedly targeting the Umbrella Corporation base.

"Stay hidden. Let’s pull a mantis stalking a cicada while we wait behind to strike their asses."

With that, Allen plucked a clump of grass and placed it atop his head, wearing a vacant expression as though he were a plant himself.

"Someone else is coming. It’s a Cadillac convoy."

Barbara took out the binoculars she carried with her, watched for a moment, and said, "Why are they S.H.I.E.L.D. agents?"

Everyone knew that The Hand and S.H.I.E.L.D. were at odds.

The Hand belonged to the government, while S.H.I.E.L.D. was an independent organization and had always been a force the government feared.

"I smell a hint of armpit hair." Allen picked his nose with a solemn expression.

"Did you mean the scent of a conspiracy?" Pamela rolled her eyes.

"Pretty much the same thing."
