The Untouchable Realm!
A day later.
Culver University, California, laboratory building.
Dressed casually, Bruce sat before a computer in the laboratory, chatting via messaging software with a scientist who researched Gamma Radiation.
Every now and then, he glanced at the female teacher sitting intimately beside him, a trace of indescribable bitterness on his lips.
After much hesitation yesterday, Bruce had ultimately chosen not to contact the Supernatural Affairs Agency due to his inner wariness. He wanted to rely on himself to resolve the Hulk transformation symptoms in his body.
Perhaps God had taken pity on him, for he had reunited with his girlfriend last night.
"Banner, is your friend reliable?" Eliza asked nervously, her hand resting on Bruce’s shoulder.
Seeing Bruce last night had made her so overjoyed she had nearly gone mad! Now, she did not want to leave his side for even a moment, and she feared losing him again even more!
"He’s reliable. I kept in contact with him in secret while I was in Brazil. He specializes in Gamma Radiation, and only he understands my current condition."
As Bruce spoke, he took a deep breath and said with slight excitement, "The last time, I sent him a little of my blood serum. He just messaged me that he has some confidence he can eliminate the Gamma Radiation in my body!"
"I hope it works," Eliza said expectantly.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
All of a sudden, a chaotic series of noises came from outside the building.
Eliza hurried to her feet and looked out the window.
On the soft, carpet-like green lawn, armored vehicles loaded with armed soldiers rolled in. They surged in from all directions, completely encircling the laboratory building.
Standing behind the troops was their leader—her father, General Ross.
"Banner!"
Eliza turned back worriedly. Bruce noticed what was happening and rose from his seat. Shrugging, he said, "Eliza, leave this place right now."
"But…" Eliza wanted to say something more, but Bruce interrupted her with a bitter smile. "Don’t worry. Even if I wanted to die, it wouldn’t be easy."
Half a minute later.
When General Ross saw Eliza run out of the building, he no longer hesitated. He coldly ordered the soldiers, "Smoke Bombs. Force it out!"
"Roger!"
Two soldiers immediately stepped forward with their launchers and fired Smoke Bombs into the building. Within seconds, the laboratory building was shrouded in thick smoke.
Under everyone’s tense gazes, an enormous shadow suddenly appeared behind the building’s floor-to-ceiling windows, within the white smoke.
Roar!
As the monster’s low roar rang out, the floor-to-ceiling windows exploded outward. Wearing nothing but a pair of oversized shorts, the Hulk leaped from the third floor toward the lawn below with an enraged roar!
"All soldiers, attack!"
General Ross swung his hand down!
Meanwhile.
New York, Emperor Building, top-floor office and lounge.
After sleeping for an unknown amount of time, Kyle’s brow twitched slightly as his mind gradually emerged from its haze.
Before even opening his eyes, he could tell that he was lying on a soft bed. Yet the pillow beneath his head was not merely soft—it also carried a pleasant warmth and faint fragrance.
"Boss, you’re awake?"
At the woman’s soft call, Kyle opened his eyes wide. What entered his view were two shirt-wrapped curves, and above them, a beautiful face.
Oh. It was Yutong’s lap pillow.
Kyle yawned softly and got out of bed, his bare feet landing on the cold floor. After taking in the luxurious bedroom and the cityscape beyond the floor-to-ceiling windows, he more or less understood what had happened afterward.
"How long was I asleep?" Kyle asked curiously as he stretched lazily and looked at the bright sunlight streaming in through the window.
"About a day and a half." Yutong descended from the bed after him like a secretary. With a thought, she neatly arranged the blankets and pillows, while also smoothing the slight wrinkles in her stockings and business skirt.
"What’s the situation on Ross’s side?" Kyle asked as he searched for his slippers.
Yutong tapped a finger lightly. A cabinet opened on its own, and a pair of slippers flew out before landing on the floor in front of him.
Viss, transformed into a phone on the table beside the bed, answered, "A message came in half an hour ago. He said Bruce’s whereabouts had been found. He’s at Culver University, and troops should have been sent to surround and capture him by now."
"Then there’s no rush." Kyle put on the slippers and headed toward the washroom, waving to Yutong. "Prepare lunch. We’ll go over after we eat."
"Okay." Yutong smiled faintly.
Elsewhere.
On the lawn outside Culver University’s laboratory building.
Under the barrage of dense shells, half the lawn had been scorched into a burning wasteland. Several reinforced armored vehicles at the front had already been crushed flat like sheets of steel, while shell casings and fragments littered the ground.
At the center of the battlefield, the Hulk ignored the bullets striking his body as he furiously demolished military vehicles. Any armed soldier touched or grazed by him fell to the ground with grievous injuries.
"Emil, it’s your turn!"
Facing this situation, General Ross suddenly shouted.
At his summons, under the gazes of all the soldiers.
Emil, dressed in military uniform, strode forward confidently like a savior!
He was clearly much taller now, nearing six foot three, broad-backed and powerfully built. One of his bulging arms carried a handheld cannon, and his cold, iron-blooded aura pressed relentlessly forward!
After undergoing genetic transformation through the Super Soldier Serum, Emil’s injuries had not only fully healed, but he could clearly feel that his body had become more than five times stronger in every aspect!
Symbol of Peace, I’ve finally caught up to you! Emil’s eyes gleamed. He was full of confidence and felt invincible!
Now, I’ll take down the Hulk first and use this battle to make my name as a hero!
Emil roared inwardly as he charged forward alone. Raising the handheld cannon, he fired a shell straight into the Hulk’s chest!
Roar!
The Hulk roared angrily and raised an arm to block the powerful blast.
Emil seized the chance to advance step by step, the handheld cannon firing with continuous thunderous booms. Its recoil was enough to dislocate an adult’s arm with one shot, yet he ignored it and fired repeatedly!
The Hulk’s body stiffened beneath the barrage of artillery fire, making Emil’s current strength stand out all the more.
Seeing this, the surrounding soldiers began to cheer!
A wild, arrogant smile curled across Emil’s lips. Then, just as he pulled the trigger, it made a crisp click—the cannon’s explosive rounds had run out.
The Hulk clapped both hands together, and the shockwave extinguished the flames from the shells. He bared his teeth furiously at Emil nearby, then charged forward in huge strides.
"Perfect. Let me show you my current strength!"
Emil sneered, threw aside his weapon, and crouched before springing high into the air with reflexes no athlete could match!
He threw a left punch, gathering nearly a ton of force as it blasted forward to meet the Hulk’s fist!
Crack!
Emil’s smile froze on his face. In an instant, the bones in his left hand shattered like an egg striking a rock, and his wrist snapped at a ninety-degree angle!
The Hulk’s fist did not stop. It continued forward and landed on his chest.
Bang!
Emil’s body flew sideways, tumbling more than a dozen meters through the air before crashing stiffly into a large tree.
Sliding down to the roots, Emil’s eyes widened. A massive fist mark had caved in his chest, and blood poured endlessly from his mouth. If not for his Super Soldier physique, he would have long since drawn his last breath.
He stared fixedly at the Hulk in the distance. Like a deflated balloon, both his spirit and imposing aura withered away.
He still could not reach that realm of the Symbol of Peace!
