“The world outside is so beautiful! The young ladies outside are so magnificent! There are so many people outside!” Bursts of howls, which could only be described as shrill, echoed through the rocky area in the Alliance Star Domain where the Nether Beast was hiding.

This voice revealed an excitement that seemed to have been bottled up for countless years. With the sound, a dirty, emaciated figure could be seen, baring fangs and brandishing claws as he roared and rushed back and forth in the rocky area.

Wang Lin had already grown accustomed to the Madman's clamor. He ignored his crazy behavior and silently looked forward, gazing at this starry sky, feeling the familiar aura within it.

The aura of home.

"Finally… home…" A look of melancholy appeared in Wang Lin's eyes. He had a home; his home was in Kunxu, his home was in the Vermilion Bird, but he no longer had any family, only lost souls…

He did not even know himself why he still wanted to return home. It was not just for Qing Shui, for Situ Nan, and the others, but deep in his heart, after these thousands of years of wandering, there was an indescribable clarity. It seemed as if this Kunxu always possessed a strange power that made him unable to let go.

Even though he no longer had any family…

Sorrow appeared in Wang Lin's eyes—a sorrow that had permeated his entire life. He stared blankly ahead for a long, long time before Wang Lin closed his eyes. There were no tears, only pain.

The Madman's howling gradually grew weaker. He looked at Wang Lin in confusion, scratched his head, and came closer. His eyes were filled with bewilderment; he had never seen such an expression on the other person, but he could vaguely sense the trace of sorrow emanating from him.

"Hey, little lady, what's wrong with you? Come and tell me, did someone bully you? I will make the decision for you!" The Madman placed his hands on his hips and lifted his chin, putting on a seemingly imposing appearance.

Wang Lin opened his eyes. He remained silent and did not speak, instead shaking his head and taking a step forward, heading straight toward the distant starry sky, walking step by step with a heavy heart.

He walked very slowly, his gaze fixed on the starry sky. He had a sense of familiarity with everything here. The clearer this feeling became, the richer the melancholy in his heart grew.

He himself could not say why this time was even sadder than when he returned from Luotian years ago. Perhaps this time, he had experienced too much, and walked too far…

"Don't be like this; when you're like this, I feel uncomfortable too… I miss home so much. Xiao Hong, Xiao Yin, you two damn guys, why didn't you come find me! I miss home, I want to go home…" The Madman followed behind Wang Lin, slowly affected by Wang Lin's mood, and also became downcast.

However, the Madman's mood changed quickly. Before long, he had completely forgotten the previous sadness and became excited again. While roaring, he manipulated the surrounding rocks to circle around him as he whistled forward, playing happily.

Wang Lin walked forward silently, slowly burying his sorrow and hiding his fatigue. He still had many things to do and could not rest yet.

Watching the Madman playing in the distance but never straying too far from him, a trace of envy appeared in Wang Lin's eyes. He envied the Madman's happiness; it seemed that no matter what happened, he would forget it in the blink of an eye and always find ways to make himself happy.

This was something Wang Lin could not do.

Just like that, amidst the Madman's happy laughter and the occasional hoarse roars, the two of them walked further and further into the depths of the starry sky.

Before long, a huge Cultivation Planet slowly appeared ahead. This planet was about the same size as the Tian Yun Star from back then, but the small guardian stars floating around it far exceeded those of Tian Yun.

Wang Lin had never been to this planet before, so it was somewhat unfamiliar.

Outside of it, ripples faintly echoed, revealing a power of Restriction.

The entire Cultivation Planet was silent, like a dead zone, without any sound.

As he swept his gaze over, the Madman also saw this Cultivation Planet. He immediately cheered, his eyes glowing, and he suddenly roared.

"Wow, wow, wow! So many people, so many little ladies, this place is great! I have finally seen other people, fun, fun!" The Madman rubbed his hands excitedly and turned to look at Wang Lin with eager eyes.

"I want to go there and play…"

Wang Lin swept his gaze across the Cultivation Planet. Without attracting the attention of any Cultivator on this planet, he clearly took in everything about it.

This planet was a Level 7 Cultivation Planet. There were many Mortals on it, densely divided into nearly a hundred countries. There were also quite a few Cultivators, but most of them were in the first step; the number of second-step Cultivators was not large.

The one with the highest cultivation on the surface was a Cultivator at the shattered nirvana stage. However, in the center of the planet's underground, there was a karst cave containing four Old Monsters who were clearly in long-term seclusion.

Among them, the highest reached the third heavenly and mortal decay, but that was only one person. The other two were both at the first heavenly and Mortal decay stage of cultivation. The last one was at the shattered nirvana stage.

Inside that karst cave in the center of the Cultivation Planet, there was an alternation of ice and fire powers. These people were clearly using the ice and fire aura to suppress the decay tribulation within their bodies, attempting to slowly overcome it.

"I have important matters to attend to and cannot accompany you to play." Withdrawing his gaze, Wang Lin knew that no one here could hurt the Madman.

"It's fine, I can go play by myself. If you follow me, I would feel uncomfortable. Even if you insisted on following, I wouldn't agree!" The Madman snorted lightly.

Wang Lin was silent for a moment. He looked at the Madman with softness in his eyes and slowly said, "Must you go there? You should still stay by my side. After I finish handling my affairs, I will take you to play."

The Madman shook his head vigorously, looking back at the Cultivation Planet with excitement in his eyes, muttering to himself, "So many people, it must be fun here, so many little ladies… and quite a few Cultivators. Haha, didn't I run out back then just to find a place like this to play? I'm not changing places; I'm going here…"

Seeing the Madman's expression, Wang Lin gave a wry smile. After pondering for a moment, he was still a bit uneasy. After all, the Madman's mentality was like that of a child; even with that Indestructible Body, it was inevitable that he might be deceived.

He wouldn't mind if he himself were deceived, but he absolutely would not allow others to deceive this Madman. Wang Lin's character was one of clear gratitude and grudges; this Madman had bestowed grace and fortune upon him, so he absolutely would not allow anyone to cause even the slightest harm to this Madman!

"No!" Wang Lin flicked his large sleeve, and immediately a golden light rushed toward the Madman, surrounding him and carrying him away into the distance.

Anger immediately burned in the Madman's eyes. He roared and growled repeatedly, struggling constantly within the golden light. It was unknown what Divine Ability he used, but he instantly escaped from the golden light. With anger mixed with pride, he roared at Wang Lin.

"Damn it, you dare to control me? Even my brother can't control me. Wherever I want to play, I must go! So what if you are my Master? Hmph, how many Masters do I have? Let me count: one, three, eight… I forgot, anyway, there are plenty. Who dares to control me? I must go play!" The Madman glared at Wang Lin, baring his teeth and making a very ferocious appearance.

Wang Lin stared coldly at the Madman. His personality preferred quiet, and he was not someone who liked to spoil others. Hearing the Madman's firm words, he snorted coldly and raised his right hand to grab forward. Instantly, a Storage Rift appeared, and two rays of light flew out from within.

From within the first ray of light, an excited roar was heard.

"I'm not going back! No matter what, I'm not going back this time. Every time you need me, you throw me out, and when you don't, you throw me back in. Although I am a Sword Spirit, I have also rendered meritorious service for you, Evil Star. You can't treat me like this!" It was indeed the filthy Xu Liguo, who flashed out from the light. After he appeared, his eyes rolled, and he immediately saw the Madman.

The Madman was also stunned for a moment before looking at Xu Liguo.

When the two had looked at each other for a long time, a head poked out from the second ray of light that Wang Lin had waved out. It was Liu Jinbiao. This Liu Jinbiao had a cautious face. After looking around, he carefully examined the Madman a few times, then coughed a few times and stepped out of the light.

"The two of you accompany him and wait for me on this Cultivation Planet. During this time, do not let him suffer any harm!" Wang Lin's words were usually few, so his speech was filled with authority.

Sweeping his gaze over the Madman, Wang Lin turned and walked away into the distance. In his opinion, with the reasonably cultivated Xu Liguo and the observant Liu Jinbiao, the Madman should be safe on this unthreatening Cultivation Planet.

Thus, he set his mind at ease and vanished into the starry sky in the blink of an eye, heading straight for the Cultivation Alliance headquarters!

"Senior Brother Qing Shui, Wang Lin is coming!"

After Wang Lin left, the Madman and Xu Liguo stared at each other. After a long while, the two spoke almost at the same time.

"Little lady, tell me, what's your name?"

"Who are you?"

Xu Liguo was stunned, then immediately burned with anger. He glared viciously at the Madman and said, "Who is a little lady? I am a man!"

The Madman laughed, pointing at Xu Liguo. He wanted to say something, but before he could speak, he clutched his stomach and laughed, looking as if he was about to roll on the ground.

"You are a man? Hahaha, hahaha, Xiao Hong, come quickly and look, this Sword Spirit says he is not a little lady… Hahaha, you're killing me… Ah, is it raining? Oh, Xiao Hong, it's raining, go quickly and get me an umbrella…" In his muttering, the Madman's eyes showed dullness and confusion. Gradually, he stopped laughing and stared blankly at Xu Liguo.

Being watched by him, Xu Liguo blinked, his expression very strange. He looked at Liu Jinbiao, who had been staring at the Madman the whole time, and gave a questioning look.

Liu Jinbiao's expression was solemn. He stepped forward a few steps, his gaze constantly examining the Madman. Especially after observing the other's face for a long time, he looked at Xu Liguo and nodded, a smile appearing on his face, but this smile looked somewhat nauseating no matter how one looked at it.

"A madman?"

"Yeah, he's a madman, that's right!"

Xu Liguo and Liu Jinbiao made eye contact, and slowly, they both turned, looking at the Madman with smiles on their faces.
