This Is Magic
All right, Bruce Banner was now proud to be Chinese.
China had already established a space defense perimeter?
How had he not received even the slightest bit of news?
Of course. Three Kunpeng Fleets were no joke.
Countless Space Fighters and Space Mecha had been built specifically to deal with extraterrestrials.
The terrifying part was that whether they were fighters or mecha, they were not merely technological creations. They had magic integrated into them as well, making them unimaginably powerful.
If any alien force was foolish enough to try invading Earth, it would be heading straight for death.
That was one of the reasons Bruce Banner liked China. China always got things done instead of merely drafting plans that looked impressive but never produced any results.
The South Heaven Gate Project had now been fully realized. Three Kunpeng Battleships had already been built, and production was still ongoing. Before long, China would surely possess a massive interstellar fleet.
"???"
Tony was covered in question marks. He knew China had been developing outer space, but he had never heard that China had established an extraterrestrial defense perimeter.
If it was called a defense perimeter, then it definitely possessed even greater combat power!
If the people at S.H.I.E.L.D. learned about this, especially Nick Fury, that man with his severe persecution complex, he probably would not be able to sleep at all.
Tony did not doubt Bruce Banner’s words, so he was completely dumbfounded.
He had even been planning to build a robot army on Earth to protect the planet.
But now, it seemed unnecessary. China had long since established a complete defense perimeter. China was the one quietly protecting Earth!
Unlike America, which waved the banner of freedom while stirring up wars all over the world.
By comparison, Tony Stark felt his face burning.
How could he have the nerve to invite Bruce Banner back?
Perhaps Banner had been right. Should his robot army be used for reforestation instead?
"But I’ll still continue with this plan."
Tony gave a bitter smile and continued, "The mechanical legion doesn’t need to participate in foreign wars, but it can be used to ensure peace within Earth. They can replace humans as police officers and crack down on criminal activity around the world."
"Sigh, whatever."
In response, Bruce Banner could only sigh helplessly.
That was indeed how it was. America considered itself the world’s police and constantly lectured others about security.
Even Tony was like that.
With so many crimes and violations in America, was the root cause not the enormous number of firearms in civilian hands?
If they wanted to solve those crimes, could they not simply ban guns?
But that would offend the capital oligarchs. In America, such a thing could never happen.
If any president dared issue an order banning guns, his corpse would probably appear in the White House the next day.
That was America, the bloody truth.
But was that not America’s beautiful landscape? There were more gun stores than pharmacies.
"Forget it, let’s not talk about that. I mainly came this time to invite you to help S.H.I.E.L.D. find the Tesseract. Other than you, no one else on Earth can locate it."
Of course, that was only what Tony believed. There were quite a few people on Earth who could find the Tesseract.
Leaving aside everyone else, Chen Mu had one Tesseract in his possession. Through the connection between the two cubes, he could easily locate the other one.
Then there was Ancient One. On Earth, there truly were not many things that could escape her notice.
For her, finding the Tesseract would be simplicity itself.
However, this trouble had been brought upon them by S.H.I.E.L.D. itself, and the sorcerers could not be bothered to handle it. Besides, Loki was Odin’s son, so Ancient One truly could not intervene easily.
"Use the Gamma Rays released by the Tesseract to find its location? Of course, no problem."
Bruce Banner was kindhearted by nature and generally did not refuse his friends’ requests.
So he planned to help Tony Stark build a Gamma Ray radar to locate the Tesseract.
Then, once they found the Tesseract, he would return to the Great Northwest and continue planting trees.
Bruce Banner had no interest in getting involved in all that fighting and killing.
"Also, S.H.I.E.L.D. has established an Avengers team. They hope you can join it."
After thinking it over, Tony still told Bruce Banner about it.
"He’s dreaming. There’s absolutely no way I’m joining that damn boys’ club."
Bruce Banner’s face was full of disgust, and he was even more unwilling.
"…"
Seeing this, Tony shrugged indifferently. He did not want to join that super boys’ party either.
But Tony did not know that Nick Fury had been loudly spreading the news outside that Iron Man Tony Stark had already joined the Avengers…
"All right, then pack up. We’ll fly to America first, then head to S.H.I.E.L.D.’s base."
Since Bruce Banner had already agreed, Tony planned to head to S.H.I.E.L.D. with him as soon as possible.
He wanted to find the Tesseract quickly too, then stay as far away from S.H.I.E.L.D. as possible.
"No rush. I heard Chen Mu is back. We’ll wait and go with him later, so there’s no need to hurry."
Bruce Banner curled his lips, grabbed Tony, and said happily, "Since you’re already here, come take a look at the forest we planted first!"
Banner was incredibly strong, and Tony could only helplessly follow him to take a look.
That was true. There was no need to rush. Chen Mu surely had his own private jet, so they would not need to take a commercial flight. It should be faster.
"By the way, Chen Mu is back? Where has he been all this time? I could never get in touch with him."
Before Chen Mu left, Tony had tried contacting him more than once, but he had never managed to reach him.
And that disappearance had lasted three years, leaving Tony deeply frustrated.
He had wanted to discuss participating in the plan to develop outer space with Chen Mu, but he had never been able to contact him. Nor did he have any connections that would let him directly contact China’s higher-ups, so the plan had been forced to remain on hold.
Now that Chen Mu had returned, he could bring it up again.
"By the way, you said China established a space defense perimeter, but I haven’t seen any plans for China to launch spacecraft?"
Naturally, Tony was extremely curious about that.
"Do you remember how I left America after we defeated Abomination?"
Bruce Banner smiled and said mysteriously, "This is magic!"
"?!"
Did magic really exist?
Had Chen Mu not been lying to him?
