This movie…

Close call!

Chen Mo took the movie ticket and let out a quiet sigh.

Li Shen and Wu Yu followed closely behind him.

Soon, it was time to enter the theater.

Chen Mo looked at the seat number on his ticket, found his seat, and sat down.

Li Shen and Wu Yu also sat down right next to him.

Chen Mo turned his head and looked at Li Shen and Wu Yu in surprise, "Your seat numbers are here."

He hadn't expected that just by buying a ticket, he would end up sitting next to these two sneaky guys.

Bad luck!

"It's not that, but since the entire screening hall is filled with our company's people, there's no need to sit according to the seat numbers. Everyone can just sit wherever they like," Li Shen said with a smile.

When the tickets were bought, they were all purchased together. Although some seats were far and some were near, the ultimate goal was just to come and support President Chen's new movie, so no one cared about the quality of the seats.

Hearing Li Shen's explanation, Chen Mo looked at the employees coming in. Sure enough, none of them were looking at their seat numbers; they were all sitting randomly.

So, that meant he was the only one in the entire screening hall who sat according to his assigned seat number.

Bad luck!

Chen Mo grumbled inwardly again. Soon, the entire screening hall plunged into darkness, and then the projector at the very front lit up, starting to play some commercials.

Soon it was time for the show; the ads on the screen disappeared, replaced by the actual movie.

After a simple opening animation and some subtitles, the movie's plot officially began.

The entire screening hall fell silent, and everyone began watching the movie playing on the screen.

The plot progressed bit by bit.

Hmm!

"The special effects are not bad."

Chen Mo watched the beginning of the movie. In a lush forest, a group of creatures—he didn't know if they were monsters or spirits—appeared. Judging by the movie title [demon subduing record], they were most likely monsters.

But these monsters were very realistic and natural; even when they moved, there was no sense of stiffness.

Clearly, this movie was very well-made in terms of special effects and animation.

Watching this scene, Chen Mo couldn't help but feel a bit nervous.

"With special effects and animation this good, wouldn't it attract people to watch it?"

But he quickly shook his head and smiled. No matter how good the special effects were, as long as the plot was trash, it would be fine.

If there was no plot, or if the plot was melodramatic and unappealing, that would be enough for the audience to give the movie a bad review.

In his original world, there were some movies with very good special effects, but unfortunately, the plot was trash and unappealing. Perhaps the initial promotion was good, and with the star effect, it did attract some viewers.

In the first few days of the movie's release, the box office might be high due to promotion and star power.

But after a few days of fermentation, the movie's reviews would quickly reach the ears of the public.

Once bad reviews spread, it would make those who wanted to see the movie hesitate, or think about waiting a few days to see the reviews before watching it.

Therefore, as long as the movie was trash, no matter how good the promotion was, it would not have sustained box office revenue.

As for the movie [demon subduing record], he had read the script before. Based solely on the trashy plot in that script, no matter how good the special effects were, it wouldn't stop it from being a flop.

Since it was a flop, he had nothing to worry about.

The movie's plot continued to play.

Chen Mo's brows couldn't help but furrow tighter and tighter. He discovered a problem: the plot playing in the movie right now was completely different from the plot he had seen in the script.

Wasn't the plot in the script just a story about partners joining forces to subdue demons? And the plot was very flat, with no twists and turns.

It was definitely a flop plot.

But the plot playing in the cinema right now, so far, he hadn't seen a single bit that was the same as the script.

"What is this situation!"

"What happened to the promised trashy plot? Why is it gone?"

Furthermore, the plot playing in the movie right now gave him an inexplicable sense of familiarity, but for a moment, he couldn't recall where it was familiar from.

Chen Mo raised his hand to rub his temples, and suddenly felt a sense of trepidation in his heart.

His gaze was fixed intently on the movie playing in front of him, as if he wanted to find the source of that faint sense of familiarity.

The plot advanced bit by bit, until the male lead in the movie became pregnant.

Chen Mo suddenly realized, isn't this the same as the movie [Monster Hunt] from his previous life?

It started with a pregnancy, and it was the Demon King.

He couldn't remember the details of [Monster Hunt] clearly, but he understood the general plot outline of [Monster Hunt].

Chen Mo's expression turned ugly as he continued to watch the rest of the movie.

"Hahahaha!"

"Hahahaha!"

"Hahahahahaha!"

"…"

In the screening hall, laughter would ring out from time to time.

Listening to the laughter, Chen Mo suddenly felt it was exceptionally jarring.

The movie had already played three-quarters of the way through, although he hadn't seen the remaining quarter.

But judging from the plot so far, isn't this [demon subduing record] just a remake of [Monster Hunt] from his previous world?

Chen Mo couldn't help but shiver. If this [demon subduing record] was really like [Monster Hunt] from his previous life, then he was in trouble.

He couldn't remember exactly what the box office of [Monster Hunt] was in his previous life, but it was vaguely around 2 billion.

"2 billion!"

Chen Mo murmured in his heart, his body couldn't help but tremble slightly.

If this [demon subduing record] really achieved a box office of 2 billion like [Monster Hunt], wouldn't his settlement this time go down the drain?

He slumped powerlessly in his seat, his gaze dull, his eyes looking at the movie in front, but he no longer knew what was playing in the movie.

After a long while, he slowly regained his senses.

Watching the movie that was about to end, his lips twitched, but he swallowed the words that were about to come out.

"Luo Xiao, Wang Bin."

"You guys are really something!"

"I told you to make a flop, and you gave me a remake of [Monster Hunt], right?"

"Fine!"

"Really fine!"

He had originally thought that by choosing amateur actors with no filming experience, the resulting movie would definitely have no acting skills.

But throughout this entire movie, there wasn't a single actor who had any problems with their acting.

Especially the lead actor, Wang Bin. Wasn't he an extra? How did the effect turn out so good?

And Luo Xiao, aren't you a director who made two flop movies? How did you change your style when you got to me? And is there any part of the movie playing now that is the same as the script you gave me?

Except for the fact that there are demons, there is absolutely nothing the same.

It's clearly a different script.

Thinking of this, he let out a long sigh. Now that the movie had been released, it was impossible to stop it.

But thinking about it carefully now, it wasn't impossible to succeed in the settlement.

After all, this movie hadn't had any promotion yet, which meant that apart from the people currently watching the movie, no one else knew that this movie was quite good.

Looking at it this way, at least in the short term, there definitely wouldn't be many people watching it.

As long as he could maintain this state for 14 days, he could still fully convert the System Funds.
