True leaves hide the farm

The price of puxian true leaf has always been stable.

It even once experienced the strange phenomenon of falling against the trend.

Moreover, after the tianxuan mirror settled the dispute with a single word, and lingwu grass led to the collapse of prices for most other herbs on the market.

Its price remained strong, showing no significant fluctuations from beginning to end.

“puxian true leaf…”

With the blue light of the hua dao stone crystal flickering in his mind, Li Fan began to search for its later information.

A moment later, Li Fan showed a somewhat interested expression.

According to Li Fan’s later memories, after the lingwu grass incident, with the continuous exploitation and release of abundant by-products from the Five Elements Great Cave Heaven into the market, the prices of almost all spiritual plants and herbs experienced a significant drop.

However, puxian true leaf was another exception.

In the following decades, the price of puxian true leaf steadily increased.

It was just too niche, and not many Cultivators paid attention to it.

Therefore, Li Fan, who had made a fortune from speculating on the lingwu grass incident and then devoted most of his energy to building the Tianxuan Locking Spirit Formation, naturally overlooked it.

Now that the lingwu grass incident was unlikely to happen, Li Fan needed to find a substitute, and he clearly noticed the unusual nature of puxian true leaf.

“In my previous life, I remember that after the Tianxuan Locking Spirit Formation became widespread, the Wise Discernment Talisman was gradually abolished. However, its price remained consistently high, indicating that it must have other unknown uses.”

“Various abnormal signs indicate that behind this, someone must be manipulating the market.”

Li Fan carefully considered the feasibility of two methods: trying to attack Lingwu Island himself to artificially inflate the price of lingwu grass, or using puxian true leaf as a substitute.

“No matter which method, the final result will certainly cause considerable turmoil. Tianji Hall will inevitably intervene to investigate.”

“From the final handling results of the previous life, market operations through free trade, buying low and selling high, were within the permitted rules.”

“But if someone maliciously disrupts the market and economy, it’s hard to say. The crime of disrupting the stability of the Ten Thousand Immortals Alliance might be pinned on you.”

“Even if I have the Only Hand Covers the Sky secret art, I might not be able to withstand an investigation.”

“…”

Li Fan pondered seriously for a moment and vaguely made a decision.

“However, I still need to see if this puxian true leaf can actually work.”

No sooner said than done.

Li Fan sold off all the lingwu grass he had previously acquired, regardless of cost, and began to acquire puxian true leaf instead.

In the tianxuan mirror, the current price of puxian true leaf was basically stable at 280 contribution points per piece.

Li Fan immediately invested millions of contribution points, frantically buying up stock.

Soon, the available stock in the market decreased at a visible rate.

At the same time, its price slowly began to recover.

It erased the previous period’s decline and returned to its normal price level, around 300 contribution points.

Li Fan remained calm and continued to increase his purchasing efforts.

Another million contribution points were invested.

301, 302…

The price of puxian true leaf was about to break through 305.

Just then, its price visibly began to plummet.

Instantly, it dropped from over 300 to 292 contribution points.

“This situation indicates that someone has released a large amount of puxian true leaf into the market.”

“The tianxuan mirror determined that supply exceeded demand, which is why the price plummeted in a short period.”

“Interesting.”

A sharp glint flashed in Li Fan’s eyes. He temporarily stopped and began to analyze carefully.

“Someone holds a large amount of puxian true leaf, yet is actively manipulating the price to drop? Why is this?”

“And in the previous life, during the lingwu grass incident, when spiritual plants and herbs generally rose in price, they were still able to maintain high price control over puxian true leaf.”

“It can be almost certain that the other party has nearly formed some kind of monopoly.”

“They’re confident of victory, aren’t they…”

Before long, recalling a certain operation from his previous life, Li Fan vaguely thought of a possibility.

Li Fan suddenly stood up, left the tianxuan mirror, and headed straight for Thousand Mile Hall.

Outside, he heard Jiao Xiuyuan’s dissatisfied complaints: “Didn’t we agree on this Flying Star Disk? I finally managed to dig it out, and now you say you don’t want it?”

“Can people still be honest when doing business nowadays?”

Li Fan interrupted him with a smile: “No one wants it? I’ll take it!”

Jiao Xiuyuan was originally talking to someone else, but hearing this, his face immediately lit up with joy.

He quickly said: “Deal! Fifteen hundred contribution points, a fixed price! No backing out!”

With that, he directly handed over a rusty copper plate.

Li Fan glanced at it, seeing nothing unusual.

However, based on his experience from his previous life, after paying, he still put it into his storage ring and carefully preserved it.

“Fellow Daoist Jiao, never mind these small matters, I came to you this time for a big business opportunity!”

Li Fan said seriously.

At this moment, Jiao Xiuyuan also recognized Li Fan.

He thought Li Fan was asking if the stone eye of eradication had been sold, and a trace of embarrassment appeared on Jiao Xiuyuan’s dark face.

“Ah! It’s Fellow Daoist Li Fan! I’m really sorry, that stone eye of eradication, it might…”

Li Fan waved his hand to interrupt him, pulled Jiao Xiuyuan closer, and said in a low voice: “Don’t worry about that for now. Fellow Daoist Jiao, what I just said, I was serious.”

“If you miss this opportunity, I’m afraid your Dao Heart will shatter, and most of your Puppets will be damaged!”

Seeing Li Fan’s alarming words, Jiao Xiuyuan’s expression instantly changed.

Putting away the playful look on his face, Jiao Xiuyuan seriously sized up Li Fan, then closed the Thousand Mile Hall door.

“Fellow Daoist Li Fan, what do you mean by that?” he asked.

“puxian true leaf, does Fellow Daoist Jiao know of this item? Its price has been a bit unusual recently. Fellow Daoist will know once you see it,” Li Fan replied.

Jiao Xiuyuan closed his eyes and pondered upon hearing this.

A moment later, his brows furrowed slightly.

At this point, Li Fan told Jiao Xiuyuan about his recent probing actions.

“What do you think, Fellow Daoist?” Li Fan asked, with a hint of evaluation in his tone.

Jiao Xiuyuan pondered for a moment and said: “If I’m not mistaken, the other party should have borrowed a certain amount of puxian true leaf from somewhere.”

“And they themselves might also happen to have some extra inventory.”

“So, they want to profit by releasing a large amount of puxian true leaf into the market, temporarily lowering the price, and thus repaying less.”

Jiao Xiuyuan gave his judgment.

Li Fan clapped his hands: “Great minds think alike, that’s what I thought too.”

Jiao Xiuyuan frowned, somewhat dissatisfied: “Is this the big business you mentioned? I don’t see it.”

Li Fan showed a mysterious smile.

“What if, and I mean what if.”

“When the other party absolutely has to return the puxian true leaf, and the circulating quantity in the market combined is not enough for them to return, what will happen then?”

Jiao Xiuyuan suddenly didn’t understand the meaning of Li Fan’s words.

He was stunned for a moment.

After a while, a sharp glint flashed in his eyes.
