Truth

God felt as if a weight had been lifted. He bowed and said, "Thank you, Lord of Blood, Space Lord. I can finally rest easy."

"Just call me Blood God. Too many titles and people will say I’m padding the word count."

Wang Bert smiled and took the initiative to ask, "God, how much do you know about the Scarlet Witch? To be honest, information about the Scarlet Witch was one of my main reasons for dealing with Original Sin."

"I know everything Original Sin knew."

God did not hide anything and explained in detail, "In the previous era, I was also corrupted by Original Sin. Original Sin wanted to destroy Earth, but the Scarlet Witch stopped him.

"For some reason, the Scarlet Witch was extraordinarily powerful. Whether it was Original Sin, Legion, Apocalypse, Franklin, or Black Phoenix, none of them were her match. She suppressed them one after another.

"Later, in order to save Mutant Planet, at the Scarlet Witch’s request, we worked together to send a mutant out of Mutant Planet.

"That mutant was called Deadpool. We chose him because he was far too annoying. Everyone wanted to send him away."

"I can understand that."

Wang Bert laughed. "Did all those people know the true situation of Mutant Planet?"

"They did. Omega-Level Mutants can sense the truth of this world."

God nodded and continued, "After that, everyone quietly waited for Deadpool’s information. Then, a woman suddenly entered Mutant Planet and fused with the Scarlet Witch. The world came to a stop, leaving nothing but scarlet light filling the sky."

"That was my fiancée, Wanda," Wang Bert said.

"We did not know her relationship with you. We only knew that she was another Scarlet Witch."

God said, "The Scarlet Witch wanted to fuse with versions of herself from other universes and ascend to become a Creator God. At the time, all of us thought she would succeed, but the result was far beyond our expectations.

"The Scarlet Witch lost. She could not defeat the other Scarlet Witch and was instead fused by her."

"That was expected. The Scarlet Witch is indeed powerful, but she doesn’t have a man," Wang Bert said.

What does that have to do with anything? God muttered inwardly before continuing, "The Scarlet Witch refused to accept defeat. She broke away from the fusion and fought Wanda. Earth was shattered by their battle. Then, a group of enormous armored figures appeared."

"Enormous armored figures? Could they be the Celestial Group?"

Wang Bert narrowed his eyes. The Celestial Group were conceptual beings, over six hundred meters tall and entirely shrouded in armor of different colors. Their strength was terrifying; even the weakest were at the Ancient God level.

Yes, even the weakest were at the Ancient God level. No one knew their exact numbers, but there were at least a thousand of them.

"That’s right, it was the Celestial Group."

God nodded. He said, "The Celestial Group were very interested in Ancient God-level mutants and wanted to capture them. Wanda, the Scarlet Witch, Franklin, Black Phoenix, Apocalypse, and the others were greatly enraged and joined forces against the Celestial Group.

"Unfortunately, the Celestial Group were simply too powerful. Wanda and the others gradually fell behind. In the end, Wanda and the Scarlet Witch joined forces to restart time and make everything begin again.

"Before this, I did not understand their choice, because restarting time was useless. The Celestial Group would still descend, and after restarting time, they would become weaker and even less capable of fighting the Celestial Group.

"But now, I understand. They were waiting for you, waiting for your arrival. They believed you could save them, and save this planet."

"So the enemy was the Celestial Group. No wonder even Wanda and the others were no match for them."

Wang Bert suddenly understood. Some members of the Celestial Group were even comparable to Creator Gods. It was perfectly normal for Wanda and the others to lose, but he still had many doubts.

"Mutant Planet has always been sealed off by Master Ancient One and me. How did the Celestial Group enter without making a sound? And why did they want to capture mutants?"

Wang Bert asked several questions in a row. "Also, if Wanda wanted my help, why did she restrict Mutant Planet and prevent my true body from descending? What if my true body descended? What could the Celestial Group do then?"

"The fact that your true body is too powerful. If it descended, it would destroy this planet."

God said, "Also, mutants’ Mutant Genes originated from the Celestial Group. More precisely, mutants are experimental subjects created by the Celestial Group.

"The Celestial Group are destined to come to Mutant Planet, just as Farmers harvest their own wheat."

"Mutant Genes came from the Celestial Group? Is that why Wanda wanted me to become the Mutant God?"

Wang Bert narrowed his eyes. He complained, "The professor’s research was completely wrong. Mutant Genes were never the result of natural evolution."

"Humanity has its limits. In fact, not only mutants, but the Eternals as well, are creations of the Celestial Group," God said.

"The Eternals? Those bastards who hide on Earth, do nothing, and let the world be destroyed?"

Wang Bert snorted. "My true body has wanted to deal with them for a long time. Forget that for now. God, approximately when will the Celestial Group descend?"

"The time of their arrival this time is different from the previous one."

God shook his head and said, "Blood God, only when the Celestial Group descend will you be able to meet the Scarlet Witch and Wanda."

"I’m looking forward to that day."

Wang Bert nodded. "When the time comes, I’ll lead the mutants and fight the Celestial Group alongside them."

"Blood God, let me apologize in advance. I want to help, but I cannot."

God sighed. The previous war had been the same—having Original Sin around, it was already good enough that he did not cause trouble.

"It’s fine. God, you just need to keep Original Sin under control. I’ll deal with the Celestial Group. No one gets to bully my wife," Wang Bert said with a smile.

"Then I’ll leave everything to you, Blood God."

God bowed. Just then, Original Sin broke through the clock’s seal and shouted, "I will not admit defeat like this! Iron Man, God, don’t even think about destroying me!"

As Original Sin spoke, his entire body exploded, turning into over a hundred streaks of Black Light that shot through the world toward Earth. Wang Bert and God attacked at the same time, using Space Power and holy light to destroy most of the Black Light.

Unfortunately, two especially tiny streaks of Black Light still escaped. God said, "Those are fragments of his origin power. He wants to give them to others and use them against you."

"He doesn’t have many possible allies. God, I’ll leave Original Sin to you. I’m going back to Earth to take a look."

Wang Bert’s heart stirred. He nodded to God and left Hell.

God shook his head and transformed into holy light, sealing Original Sin once more. Original Sin’s consciousness roared, "You can’t keep me sealed! I will escape this damned place, destroy Earth, and wipe out humanity!"

God smiled. "You won’t be able to, because Blood God is here. After all these years, I can finally get a peaceful night’s sleep."

On Earth, Wang Bert suddenly appeared before Jean and carefully looked her over from head to toe. Jean blushed under his gaze and could not help lowering her head.

That was because Jean had dreamed of Wang Bert every night recently, leaving her with many strange feelings.

Sensing that something was wrong, Cyclops immediately stepped in front of Jean and said, "Hey, Iron Man. I admire you a lot, but Jean is mine."

Wolverine blinked from the side. Does BOSS like Jean too? Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

"Don’t misunderstand. I’m checking Jean’s condition."

Wang Bert waved his hand and asked, "Jean, did you see a streak of Black Light just now?"

Jean froze, then shook her head. "Black Light? I didn’t see any, but I felt like something entered my body just now. It was extremely cold and evil."

Cyclops was startled and hurriedly asked with concern, "Jean, are you okay?"

Faced with Cyclops’s concern, Jean felt somewhat guilty. She shook her head and said, "I’m fine now. The feeling was very brief. It vanished in an instant."

"As expected, one of the targets was Jean—or rather, Black Phoenix."

Wang Bert was not surprised. After thinking for a moment, he walked over to the professor and said in a low voice, "Professor, help me check the seal inside Jean."

Wang Bert could inspect it himself, but Jean would definitely notice, and it would be difficult to explain then.

The professor was startled. "You know about Jean?"

Wang Bert nodded. "Of course. The one inside her is even more terrifying than the Doomsday Master."

"She really is terrifying."

The professor nodded first, then said, "Bert, I’ll leave Jean to you from now on."

"Why do I feel like you’re dumping this mess on me?" Wang Bert complained.

"There’s no helping it. This is your era now."

The professor smiled, closed his eyes, and sensed the situation within Jean’s consciousness. A moment later, he opened his eyes with a grave expression. "Black Phoenix has become even more violent. I’m afraid my Mind Barrier won’t be able to contain her for much longer."

"Then reinforce the barrier."

Wang Bert took out a stack of Banknotes and spent one hundred million dollars to reinforce the Mind Barrier. At that moment, Black Phoenix’s furious roar sounded in his mind.

Wang Bert snorted and ignored it. He said to the professor, "Professor, please keep a close eye on her. If anything happens, notify me immediately."

Sensing that the Mind Barrier had become sturdier, the professor breathed a sigh of relief and nodded. "No problem."

Money is flowing out like water. Good thing I swallowed Black King’s assets a while ago, or the cash flow might not have been enough.

Wang Bert was about to leave when Yashida Shingen came up with Mariko and respectfully said, "Mr. Iron Man, the Yashida Family thanks you for your help."

"You’re welcome. We made a deal," Wang Bert said with a smile.

Mariko could not help glancing at Wang Bert. So this is the famous Iron Man? He’s even more dazzling than on television, as if one person alone represents an era.

Mariko sighed inwardly. Compared to him, my fiancé is practically a pig.

Yashida Shingen hesitated before asking, "Mr. Iron Man, is Yashida Ichirō really dead?"

"Completely dead."

Wang Bert said, "The kind where nothing is left behind."

"That’s good. It’s a pity I could not personally wash away his disgrace."

Yashida Shingen breathed a sigh of relief, then asked, "Mr. Iron Man, regarding the Prime Minister…"

"Don’t worry. I’ve already worked things out with him. This incident did not cause any losses, so the government will not sanction Yashida Industries."

Wang Bert said, "Also, I’ll send my secretary, Oyama Yuriko, to Island Nation to discuss the investment with you."

"Thank you, Mr. Iron Man."

Yashida Shingen bowed happily, and Mariko followed with a bow of her own.

Wang Bert waved his hand. "You’re welcome. The battles elsewhere aren’t over yet, so I’ll take my leave first."

"Yes. We bid you farewell, Mr. Iron Man," Yashida Shingen said.

Wang Bert nodded and teleported to Kingpin Building in New York.

Looking at the building riddled with holes, Wang Bert said, "It wasn’t this wrecked when I came last time. Can anyone still work here?"

"Of course not, but I don’t care, because this building is no longer mine."

Kingpin said. With the help of the Time Loop, he and Angel had returned to normal. Both of them were delighted; they had made the right bet.

"Right, it’s not yours anymore. It’s mine. But Kingpin, are you really willing to give up everything?"

Wang Bert asked Kingpin, who nodded with complete certainty. "I’ll take this opportunity to retire. From now on, I’m no longer Kingpin. I’m Wilson Grant Fisk."

"Then I’ll grant your wish."

Wang Bert took out a stack of Banknotes and used Money Power to create two bodies. Then, he placed the souls of Kingpin’s wife and child into the new bodies.

Kingpin was overwhelmed with excitement at the sight, while Angel was utterly shocked. Resurrecting the dead… could Iron Man actually be a god reincarnated?

"At first, they’ll be relatively weak and will need to rest for a while."

Wang Bert said, "Have you prepared a farm? If so, I’ll send you there."

"Yes."

Kingpin nodded repeatedly and gave him an address, then said gratefully, "Iron Man, thank you."

"Just be a good person from now on."

Wang Bert waved his hand, and Kingpin’s entire family vanished at once.

Angel sighed. "I never imagined the New York underworld emperor would end up like this."

"He stopped wanting to be the underworld emperor a long time ago."

Wang Bert shook his head and said to Angel, "Go back to Las Vegas and wait. Once I’ve completely dealt with this matter, I’ll promote you and make you the next superstar."

"Thank you, BOSS."

Angel was overjoyed. She respectfully said, "BOSS, everything I have belongs to you."

"You’d better not court death like that."

Wang Bert rolled his eyes and waved Angel away. Then, he took out a stack of Banknotes and tried to find where the other streak of Black Light had gone. Naturally, he failed—the money was not enough.

That information would cost at least over one billion dollars.

"As expected of an Ancient God-level existence. Looks like the next opponent has appeared."

Wang Bert snorted, unconcerned. He was not even afraid of the Celestial Group, much less anyone else.

In a secret space beneath a city in Pyramid Country, a streak of Black Light flew into a gray body that had existed for thousands of years. Stimulated by it, the body suddenly opened its cloudy eyes.

"I’m back. Huh… why is my consciousness a little confused?"

The mysterious man frowned. He had two sets of memories in his mind. One was relatively complete: memories of the past.

In those memories, he was called En Sabah Nur, the first mutant, also known as Apocalypse. He had ruled over a vast continent and was worshipped as a god. Unfortunately, he was later betrayed by humanity and fell into slumber, only awakening at this moment.

The other set of memories was confused and fragmented, seeming to come from the future—after awakening, he had wanted to rule the world again, only to be defeated and sealed once more by a woman radiating scarlet light.

Later, for some reason, he fought an immensely tall armored figure, who then pinned him to the ground and rubbed his face into it mercilessly.
