Two Years of Development
"You mean you found several new worlds?"
Xu Jia immediately cast the displeasure in her heart aside and asked curiously, "What kind of worlds are they?"
"Well, I’m not entirely sure yet. I haven’t been there."
Indeed, he had merely tossed several spatial coordinates into different worlds within Uatu’s space. He had not had the time to investigate them, but he planned to arrange for people to visit them later.
After all, he remembered that one of those worlds seemed to be the world Deadpool lived in, which meant there would also be X-Men and mutants.
However, the spatial coordinates had not been thrown into the world he had seen, but into a parallel world beside it. It seemed to be earlier in the timeline, though its overall development should have been roughly similar.
"I see. Should I notify Zheng Xian and arrange for some people to go and take a look at those worlds?"
Xu Jia was a woman of swift and decisive action. Upon hearing Chen Mu’s words, she could not help asking eagerly.
In her view, anything that could strengthen her country and her people was an urgent matter.
"No rush. I’ve been gone for two years, so tell me about China’s development over the past two years."
Chen Mu rubbed his nose. Time had truly passed quickly in Uatu’s world. Only a few minutes had gone by there, yet an entire year had passed in his own world.
Chen Mu glanced at the system and was surprised to discover that the Time Stone had already been produced…
It was supposed to take a year. No, if it was calculated according to relative time, two years had already passed in the Main World. By the Main World’s time, the gem had indeed completed its production cycle.
This was quite a good method. If producing something took too long and he could not be bothered to wait, he could go chat with Uatu, and the item would be produced very quickly.
It was just that he had wasted a whole year for nothing. If he had noticed sooner, he could have produced the Space Stone as well.
Still, since the Tesseract was already in his hands, it did not make much difference whether it was produced sooner or later.
For modern Chinese people, aside from those who had not undergone modification, most had lifespans of at least five or six hundred years. Time truly was no longer that important.
"After two years of development, our industrial base on the Moon has basically been completed. We have also produced three Kunpeng universe carriers there, along with over ten thousand Qing Luan Universe Fighters and Xingtian Battle Mechas respectively. China now possesses sufficient space combat strength to deal with threats from outer space."
Indeed, the South Heaven Gate Project had originally been intended to deal with threats from outer space. The appearance of these three Kunpeng universe carriers had given China the confidence to protect itself.
Naturally, they would also protect Earth along the way. Unless an enemy could open a portal on Earth, they would never break through the South Heaven Gate Project’s defensive line.
And opening a portal on Earth was not such a simple matter. First, they would need a spacecraft to reach Earth, and that was basically impossible.
Of course, unless some fool decided to become a "human traitor" and actively opened a portal on Earth.
"Our South Heaven Gate Project has already formed its initial combat capability. Three Kunpeng Fleets are patrolling the Solar System, safeguarding Earth’s security."
With spatial jump engines and lightspeed engines, the Kunpeng aerospace carriers could provide immediate support anywhere in the Solar System.
"The three Kunpeng Fleets answer directly to the Celestial Court. We have also established a large space station in the Kuiper Belt as the Celestial Court’s space base."
Magic combined with technology held limitless potential. Though the distance was vast, it was not much of an issue for magic.
After all, it only took one or two portals to reach the Celestial Court. Getting there was extremely simple.
But was the Celestial Court merely a space station?
No matter how large it was, Chen Mu felt that it seemed somewhat beneath its status.
So…
Chen Mu checked the system and found the divine realm technology from Asgard. After being upgraded by the system, he had also altered its architectural style into China’s distinctive classical style, with pavilions, terraces, towers, and jade-like palaces.
Without hesitation, Chen Mu chose to begin production. Compared to a space station, this "divine realm," which could easily float through space, was worthy of becoming the future Celestial Court.
This was the proper "Celestial Court," so it could no longer be called a divine realm. He might as well call it an "Immortal Realm."
Good heavens, its production time was a full three years, comparable to three Infinity Stones. After all, the "Celestial Court" itself contained a great deal of advanced technology and magic, and with its enormous mass, taking three years was only reasonable.
Once the Celestial Court was produced, it would become the base of the future Multivariate Celestial Court.
That current space station could only serve as a temporary base.
"Besides the lunar industrial base and the South Heaven Gate Project, our homeland has launched new plans as well, and they are progressing steadily. China is now mining resources on several major planets in the Solar System."
Indeed, with the assistance of magical portals, lightspeed spacecraft, and spatial jump spacecraft, magic and technology complemented one another. China had already taken off, and the tiny amount of resources on Earth no longer held any attraction for it.
China’s current target was the vast, boundless sea of stars!
"As for the development of the universe, that is roughly the situation. Next, let’s talk about domestic matters."
After thinking for a moment, Xu Jia continued, "Because of the Life Evolution Device, most citizens have now gone to the capital for life evolution. Among the public, our country’s strength can no longer be ignored. Most people possess incredibly powerful abilities, but because we conduct evolution selectively, everything remains under control. No one has abused their suddenly acquired power to act recklessly and cause trouble."
Of course, there might have been a few individuals lucky enough to slip through the review process and gain powerful abilities, but so what? Did that mean they could act however they pleased?
You were not the only one who had become stronger. When you discovered that everyone around you possessed the same great power, would you not still have to live honestly? In truth, not much had changed from before.
Because there were simply too many evolved people, the matter could not possibly be kept completely hidden. The entire world now knew that the Chinese people as a whole had evolved to a higher level of life, but so what? China simply could not be bothered with them.
However, many countries refused to accept this. They insisted on stirring up trouble, attempting to use those Chinese people who had yet to undergo evolution to cause unrest. They even tried to rally nations across the world to sanction China, hoping to force it to hand over the secret of human evolution.
Unfortunately, before absolute power, all conspiracies and schemes could not stir up even the slightest ripple.
Still, the country had not denied opportunities to those at home who had yet to evolve. As the saying went, it was never too late to mend one’s ways. If they could show the homeland that they had changed during the rest of their lives, they would still have a chance to undergo evolution.
As for those foolish and evil people who were so easily exploited by foreign forces and cared only for their own interests, they could only watch helplessly as others gained great power and long lives, while they slowly headed toward death.
