Usurping Another’s Nest / Solving It-and Noticing Something Strange

The girl inside the knuckle duster could not take it anymore and shouted, "It’s so noisy! What’s going on?!"

Izayoi Sakamaki froze. "What? You heard that?"

The girl answered, "Of course I did!"

"It’s especially loud. That wolf is making too much noise. It’s annoying."

Izayoi Sakamaki smiled, stroked the knuckle duster, and spoke softly.

"She’s not in a very good mood. This is something lone wolves like us will never understand."

After a pause, Izayoi Sakamaki added, "The relationship between companions and the pack. Though I’ve always stayed apart, I at least have a rough idea."

"But you really don’t have that feeling at all, do you?"

The girl yawned widely inside the knuckle duster and replied lazily.

"Of course not. It’s something I simply can’t understand, and it doesn’t taste good either."

"We Taotie all grow up on our own."

Izayoi Sakamaki nodded thoughtfully.

After a pause, he suddenly narrowed his eyes as realization struck him.

"Wait, you said it doesn’t taste good?"

"When did you eat it?"

Little Taotie had not expected Izayoi Sakamaki to spot the flaw so quickly and immediately let out an awkward "Uh…"

Izayoi Sakamaki had only said it casually.

He did not particularly want to talk to the girl any further.

After all, Taotie ate when they were hungry, craving something, or simply bored.

Or perhaps they were just curious and wanted a bite of something new they saw.

Izayoi Sakamaki convinced himself of that.

He decided to ignore Mithras’s long, drawn-out calls and the confusion in his eyes.

Fortunately, Taotie might have truly found it unappetizing.

So Mithras’s calls still got through.

With the consent of Izayoi Sakamaki and Master Ancient, the Hounds of Tindalos passed through Spacetime.

Huge numbers of hounds appeared in the sky.

Their presence was overwhelmingly oppressive.

Frank, who led them, had bloodshot eyes and looked as though he might go mad at any moment.

Chapter 479: Occupying the Magpie’s Nest

Among this group of arriving hounds, Frank was the strongest and the one carrying the most murderous aura.

At the sight of him, many people’s hearts tightened, and some trembled so badly they did not dare raise their heads.

The villagers of Kamar-Taj had been stunned from the very beginning by the appearance of the Hounds of Tindalos.

With the mages’ help, they immediately returned to their rooms.

They escaped that terrifying pressure.

Master Ancient frowned, somewhat displeased.

After all, Frank and the others had appeared far too recklessly.

She had not expected these hounds to be so unrestrained.

Mithras noticed Master Ancient’s furrowed brow.

His heart skipped a beat.

During the earlier conflict, Mithras and Master Ancient had genuinely fought.

What astonished Mithras was that her Mirror World ability was truly extraordinary.

Even Mithras, the Lord of the Hounds of Tindalos, had needed considerable time to break free from such Spacetime restraints.

Therefore, Mithras believed she was worthy of the Hounds of Tindalos’ respect.

Moreover, she was Izayoi Sakamaki’s subordinate.

Mithras did not know whether she was the strongest among them.

But as someone under Izayoi Sakamaki’s command, she was certainly among those standing at the very top.

So Mithras knew that if he made her unhappy, the Hounds of Tindalos might not have an easy time here.

This was, after all, her territory.

And Izayoi Sakamaki would certainly favor his own subordinate more.

Thus, amid the tense atmosphere, Mithras decided to speak first.

"Mr. Izayoi, I’m sorry."

"The Hounds of Tindalos… are having some trouble controlling their emotions."

"After all, this is the first time in tens of millions of years that the Hounds of Tindalos have unexpectedly lost one of our own."

"And she was a mother carrying a child."

As he said this, the atmosphere fell silent once more.

Izayoi Sakamaki said softly, "I understand, but you still need to calm down."

"I hope you all remember how you entered this place."

The Hounds of Tindalos stirred for a moment, then settled down as well.

Master Ancient was silent for a moment before speaking too.

"If that is the case, then I also hope you will refrain from doing anything else."

Mithras said in a deep voice, "Certainly! We Hounds of Tindalos are deeply grateful for the two of you helping us. Other than fighting the Ishtar people here, the Hounds of Tindalos will do nothing else!"

Master Ancient nodded.

Only then did Frank slowly descend, lowering his voice.

His face was filled with grief and pain. Even as he spoke, he ground his back teeth together, as though he wanted to tear the culprit apart with his bare teeth.

"Where is she?"

"My Anna… where is she?"

In that instant, the powerful Hound of Tindalos was like a helpless child!

Everyone instinctively looked toward Izayoi Sakamaki.

Izayoi Sakamaki instead looked at Master Ancient.

Master Ancient smiled at Izayoi Sakamaki as well.

"Mr. Izayoi, you should know where it is, shouldn’t you?"

Izayoi Sakamaki answered without changing expression, "But this is your territory. I think it would be better not to wander around casually."

Master Ancient had been invited into the Chat Group by him.

Izayoi Sakamaki considered them friends, at the very least.

For his friends, Izayoi Sakamaki was always very understanding.

And he had always been a very considerate friend.

So he never interfered in his friends’ affairs.

Master Ancient clearly understood what he meant, but she smiled and said softly.

"I understand, my friend."

After saying that, Master Ancient immediately changed the subject.

"Actually, the Ishtar people chose an exceptionally good hiding place on Earth."

As she said this, Master Ancient glanced back at Tony.

Her gaze was extremely complicated, so much so that even Izayoi Sakamaki, who saw it, wanted to mutter to himself.

Why does her expression look so strange?

Master Ancient had never looked at anyone like that before.

Unless that person was about to die.

Tony’s scalp tingled under her gaze, and he instinctively wanted to say something.

But in the end, he could not bring himself to speak.

Because he had also seen where the space on the other side led.

It was a cemetery.

A place that made Tony Stark’s heart clench.

Izayoi Sakamaki walked to his side, patted his shoulder, and said.

"The main reason we didn’t bring you then was because the place wasn’t far from Stark Tower."

"We originally intended to hurry back right away. I didn’t expect you to act so quickly."

Tony tugged at the corner of his mouth, directly ignoring Izayoi Sakamaki’s attempt to change the subject. "Big Shot Izayoi, where exactly is your destination?"

"And… if their target really was my parents, then why…"

Clearly, Tony’s intelligence had already allowed him to figure out their destination.

Before the gravestones of Howard Stark and Maria Stark.

Chapter 480: The Discovery While Resolving the Matter

The group stopped walking, then all looked at Tony. Even Mithras and the other Hounds of Tindalos did the same.

After Izayoi Sakamaki and Master Ancient granted the Hounds of Tindalos access to this world, most of what happened within it entered the minds of every Hound of Tindalos.

Naturally, they knew how this pair of parents had been murdered.

They also knew that Tony was the child of the two.

Mithras said, "My friend, would you mind if I opened the coffin beneath the gravestone?"

Tony froze, then answered very quickly, "Huh? What? No! Oh no… I mean, of course!"

Izayoi Sakamaki and Master Ancient exchanged a glance.

Master Ancient immediately understood. She patted Tony’s shoulder and said softly, "If you don’t want to keep watching, you can leave."

The implication was that they absolutely had to open the coffin.

Tony gave a bitter smile. "What is there that I can’t watch? It’s just that I’m a little… sorry."

Izayoi Sakamaki glanced at him. "I think you’ll definitely want to open the coffin and see what’s inside…"

Tony froze. "What?"

Izayoi Sakamaki replied, "I mean, aside from two Ishtar people, there’s nothing else in the coffin."

The coffin!

Inside the coffin lay his father and mother!

Tony immediately understood. He abruptly stood up. "What do you mean?"
