Victory Decided

"Quite the spatial controller."

Even Knull did not dare take such an attack lightly. He twisted the surrounding time, then swiftly cast a spell, transforming his entire body into an ancient pitch-black gate.

The gate was covered in planetary patterns, like a universe itself. The moment any Dragon God touched the gate, it was immediately absorbed and turned into a tiny "bug" on its surface.

This was Knull’s ultimate move, called the Doomsday Gate. The planets inside were real planets that he had devoured and fused.

Knull had created this move to destroy the universe. After all, he had arrived in this territory first.

"Didn’t you ask how much I can devour? Let me tell you, I can swallow even an entire universe."

Knull laughed loudly. "Spatial controller, the more I devour, the stronger I become. Thank you for helping me increase my strength."

"You’re welcome. You’re an old senior, so of course I have to treat you well."

Not only did Wang Bert not stop, his offensive grew increasingly fierce. Blinding lightning filled heaven and earth.

Wang Bert also possessed the Devouring Concept, so he knew full well that devouring had limits. Like eating, it required digestion. No matter how well Knull could devour or fuse, he could not swallow something and immediately digest and fuse it.

More importantly, Wang Bert’s power was inexhaustible. The entirety of Hell was supporting him.

If you have the ability, swallow all of Hell.

"Damn it, is this guy Hell’s illegitimate son or something?"

Mephisto, watching from afar, could not help cursing. Not only was his layer of Hell supporting Wang Bert, every Hell was supporting Wang Bert. What was even more outrageous was the sheer amount of support—it was greater than what they, the Demon Kings of Hell, received.

Honestly, even if Satan were in Hell, he would only receive this much support—this was why Wang Bert had chosen Hell as the battlefield.

Knull also sensed that something was wrong. He was utterly baffled. Why was Hell favoring his opponent so heavily? There was no reason for it. Could this guy be the reincarnation of Hell’s Will? No wonder he’s so powerful. But why does his origin power seem to lack Hell Power?

Knull frowned deeply. If this continued, they would likely both suffer.

After thinking it over, Knull detached himself from the Doomsday Gate and quietly flew toward Mephisto. Because he had fused with the void, Wang Bert failed to notice his movements.

Once he reached Mephisto, Knull turned into a mass of black mist and enveloped Mephisto entirely. Then, the black mist rapidly surged into Mephisto’s body.

Mephisto was shocked. As he tried desperately to stop the black mist from infiltrating him, he shouted, "What are you doing? I’m just watching the show."

"Haven’t you heard that watching a show comes with risks, and spectators should be cautious?"

Knull sneered. "Lend me your body. Once the battle is over, I’ll return it to you intact."

"You want to use my body? What are you planning to do?"

Mephisto asked in astonishment, "Let me tell you, I’m not that kind of demon."

"Are you really a Demon King of Hell? Why do you feel so sleazy?"

Knull cursed, "You possess the authority of this layer of Hell. I need that authority to interfere with Blood God’s control over Hell. Don’t resist. Let me enter your body obediently, and once it’s done, I’ll give you benefits.

"Of course, you can resist if you want. At worst, I’ll use force. It’ll just be a little more troublesome for me."

"You seem sleazier than I am."

Mephisto grumbled inwardly. His eyes flickered as he said, "You owe me a favor. In the future, you must help me once."

Knull snorted. "You’re not worth that much."

"I am. If you don’t agree, I’ll immediately scream for help."

Mephisto said, "If you want to plot against Blood God, you can’t let him know what you’re planning."

"You’ve got quite a few tricks up your sleeve. Fine, I agree."

Knull snorted and agreed. Mephisto gave up resisting and said, "Be gentle."

"Get lost."

Knull cursed and fused with Mephisto. Feeling the connection to Hell, he beamed. "Victory has been decided. That spatial controller is as good as dead."

"Victory has been decided."

Wang Bert suddenly grinned. The Dragon Gods filling the sky returned to the heavens and fused into an incomparably enormous Thunder Pool. Countless bolts of lightning swam within it, making one’s heart tremble.

"Hm? Why did Blood God suddenly stop attacking?"

Knull sensed something was off and could not help frowning. At that moment, Wang Bert turned to look at Mephisto—Knull—and smiled. "Knull, you lost."

"He discovered me."

Knull was startled inwardly, but outwardly he sneered. "I’ll lose? Do you know who I am?"

"I do. An ancient god older than the universe itself."

Wang Bert was happy to stall for time. He said, "We dealt with each other in another universe. I just didn’t expect you to become Thanos’s lapdog."

"What a joke. It’s merely a transaction."

As Knull answered, he secretly drew upon Hell Power. At that moment, he discovered that both his and Mephisto’s bodies were decaying and beginning to stink. His expression changed drastically. "Decay Poison?"

"That’s right. Decay Poison that can rot even gods and planets."

Wang Bert nodded. "From the very beginning, I planted Decay Poison inside Mephisto and waited for you to fuse with him. The moment you fused with him, the Decay Poison spread into your body."

The Decay Poison came from the Dragon God and was extremely rare. Once contaminated by it, even gods and planets would decay. If there was enough of it, it could even rot an entire universe and bring about an apocalyptic disaster.

Wang Bert only had two small portions of Decay Poison in total, obtained by killing two Dragon Gods. He had used them all this time. In any case, he could get more when he traveled through time in the future.

"Despicable!"

Knull was both shocked and enraged. He immediately tried to detach himself from Mephisto’s body, but at that moment, Mephisto drew upon Hell Power and turned it into a seal, firmly trapping him within his body.

"What are you doing? Don’t you know the Decay Poison will kill you too?"

Knull roared, "Wait, don’t tell me you’re that guy’s man?"

"Maybe."

With yellow light filling his eyes, Mephisto said, "In any case, I won’t let you leave my body. We’ll die together."

"Die together?"

Knull froze, then suddenly understood. "You’ve been controlled by that guy?"

"That’s right. He’s under my control, but he doesn’t know he’s under my control. He also doesn’t know that his desire to stay was actually a suggestion I planted in him."

Wang Bert smiled. "Even his agreement to let you possess him was my command."

"You can even control a Demon King of Hell? Do you possess some sort of control-type concept?"

Knull was utterly shocked. As he spoke, he used mental magic to assault Mephisto’s soul, trying to restore his consciousness.

Unfortunately, the mental magic was blocked by a yellow wall. It was the power of the Mind Stone.

Some might wonder why Wang Bert could still use the Mind Stone. The reason was simple: Wang Bert did not have only one Mind Stone. The one he had just used was the Mind Stone from the Main Universe.

With the power of the Mind Stone, controlling a Demon King of Hell was perfectly normal.

"Blood God, I surrender."

Seeing his mental magic blocked, Knull knew the situation was hopeless and surrendered helplessly.

If they were elsewhere, Mephisto would never have been able to seal him. The problem was that this was Hell. Worse still, he was currently "fused" with Mephisto.

"Just because you surrender, does that mean I have to accept it?"

Wang Bert sneered. "You’ve been poisoned by Decay Poison. You’ll soon decay and lose most of your strength. With Mephisto helping me, killing you won’t be difficult."

"Ancient gods are not so easy to kill. Otherwise, I would have been killed long ago. You can only destroy my body; you cannot destroy my soul."

Knull said, "The question is, do you have time to waste with me? Earth is in the midst of its final battle. With Thanos’s strength, he’ll soon destroy Earth."

Without changing expression, Wang Bert said, "I believe in my people."

"Believe? How laughable. Death stands behind Thanos."

Knull said, "Blood God, I surrender. I’ll return with you and help deal with Thanos. In addition, I promise never to be an enemy of Earth again."

"Is that so?"

Wang Bert hesitated slightly. After a moment, he said, "Add one condition. I want the Devouring Concept on you."

"What? You want my Devouring Concept?"

Knull’s expression turned incomparably ugly. It had been said before that, to ancient gods, concepts were more important than wives.

Although Knull’s Devouring Concept was incomplete, he did not want to give even a shred of it to anyone else. He said, "Dream on. I will never give you the Devouring Concept."

"Knull, I’m already being polite by not demanding your Fusion Concept."

Wang Bert sneered. "If you refuse, I’ll destroy your body and seal you in this layer of Hell. Once Thanos is dealt with, I’ll come back and slowly deal with you."

After a pause, Wang Bert added, "Others can only seal you. I’m different."

Knull sneered. "What makes you different?"

Wang Bert smiled faintly. A pitch-black dragon head emerged from his neck and said to Knull, "What do you think makes me different?"

"You also have the Devouring Concept?"

Knull’s expression changed slightly. If the other party also possessed the Devouring Concept, it meant he could devour him. Though it would take a long time, gods had no shortage of time.

"Hand over the Devouring Concept, or I’ll take it myself."

Wang Bert said coldly. At the same time, the Thunder Pool in the sky abruptly pressed downward, making the entire world feel as if it were about to be destroyed.

Knull gritted his teeth and said, "Fine, I’ll give you the Devouring Concept, but you must let me leave."

"No problem. Let’s sign a contract."

Wang Bert nodded in satisfaction. Using half a Reality Stone, he wrote a contract in the air and signed it with his true name.

"Hand over the Devouring Concept and let me leave. I guarantee that I will never again be an enemy of Blood God and will never set foot on Earth.

"Note: No tricks are permitted during the transaction. Otherwise, not only will the contract become void, the breaching party will also be punished and lose all concepts."

Knull carefully read the entire contract and frowned slightly. Everything else was fine, but was that punishment not a little excessive? "This is to guarantee both parties’ interests."

Wang Bert said indifferently, "Knull, as long as you don’t play any tricks, the punishment won’t take effect."

"This contract is far too simple and lacks rigor. There are plenty of ways to keep the punishment from taking effect."

Knull’s gaze flickered. He signed his name with mental power, and the contract turned into two chains that flew into their foreheads.

Wang Bert excitedly held out his hand. "My Devouring Concept!"

"Yours? Here."

A barely perceptible vicious glint flashed through Knull’s eyes as he tore off his own Devouring Concept, turned it into a mass of Black Light, and threw it toward Wang Bert.

You want my concept? Dream on. I’ll make you die.

Knull’s eyes were filled with savagery. Stealing a concept was far more grievous than stealing one’s wife.

"Why does everyone keep trying to play tricks in front of me? Do I really look that stupid?"

Wang Bert smiled disdainfully. A Godly Shield appeared out of thin air in his hand, then shone brilliantly, enveloping the Devouring Concept within the shield.

No one could break through the Godly Shield’s defenses.

Knull’s expression changed. He shouted, "Blood God, what are you doing? We signed a contract."

"You think I don’t know that besides the Devouring Concept, that mass of Black Light contains your soul and most of your Fusion Concept?"

Wang Bert sneered. "You wanted to seize my body while I absorbed the concept. Hmph, did you think I would fall for such an obvious trick? Knull, you played tricks. The contract is void, and the punishment is activated."

As Wang Bert spoke, Knull’s connection to his concepts was severed. The Devouring Concept and most of the Fusion Concept no longer belonged to him.

This was the contract’s punishment.

"No, that’s impossible!"

Knull roared in disbelief. "How did you know about my scheme?"

"Because I know everything you’re thinking, including your scheme and the methods you intended to use to prevent the punishment from taking effect."

Wang Bert laughed loudly. The Mind Stone was inside Mephisto’s body, and after Knull fused with Mephisto, the Mind Stone transferred onto him.

Although the Mind Stone could not control Knull, it was more than capable of eavesdropping on his thoughts, as if a bug had been installed in his brain.

"Damn it, Blood God! Return my concepts, or I’ll fight you to the death!"

Knull roared. Having lost most of his concepts, he could barely maintain the strength of an ancient god.

"Sorry, you won’t get the chance to fight me to the death."

Wang Bert’s body rapidly expanded, turning into a massive three-headed Dragon God. He then opened his mouth and swallowed the concepts along with Mephisto, beginning to devour them.

"You want to devour me?"

Knull went all out and shouted, "Fine, devour me! I’ll cling to you for centuries. By the time you return, there won’t be a single living person left on Earth."

"You think I’m as stupid as you? Reality Stone, I sacrifice Mephisto and this layer of Hell in exchange for accelerated devouring."

Wang Bert said disdainfully, "First devour the ‘Devouring’ Concept, then the Fusion Concept, and finally Knull. Knull, thank you for delivering yourself to me as food. I’m very happy. Hahaha."

Half of the Reality Stone blazed with red light. Both Mephisto and this layer of Hell rapidly vanished, having been sacrificed.

At the brink of death, Mephisto had a "final flash of clarity" and regained consciousness. Recalling everything that had just happened, he could not help cursing furiously. "Blood God, you’re too despicable! You used me to poison Knull, used me to trap Knull, and used me to eavesdrop on Knull’s thoughts.

"And in the end, you even sacrificed me! Are you even human? You can do something like this? No wonder Hell’s Will favors you so much. You’re nothing but scum, a devil born to be one."
