Walking on a Neutron Star

IC 1101 was a lenticular galaxy at the center of the Abell 2029 Galaxy Cluster, located in Serpens, 1.07 billion light-years from Earth. With a diameter of 2.1 million light-years, it was vast enough to contain thousands of Milky Ways. At the edge of IC 1101 was a neutron star half the size of Earth. Its surface temperature was 1.1 million degrees, its gravity 180,000 times that of Earth, and every cubic centimeter of matter weighed at least 100 million tons.
