Wanda, Let’s Cultivate Together! (Three Chapters)
At two in the afternoon, Wanda finally caught up on sleep and sat up in bed. She stretched her arms wide in a long, lazy stretch, revealing her increasingly exaggerated curves.
"Another happy day!"
She got up and pulled back the curtains. Looking at the blue sky and bright sunshine outside, she could not help sighing inwardly.
Ever since marrying Li Chuan, she felt like she had become more and more content to simply take things easy.
Before meeting Li Chuan, she had either been working at a convenience store to earn money or participating in Sokovia’s protest marches with her brother. Her heart had been filled with hatred, and she had always thought about taking revenge someday, stubbornly holding on to that goal.
Now, she spent her days eating and drinking, attending tea gatherings with the housewives in the neighborhood, chatting about gossip from various families, and occasionally joining May for charity work.
Other than that, she went to the supermarket, strolled around town, and bought things with her husband, Li Chuan.
Although she could now conjure many things with magic, going grocery shopping and strolling through stores with the one she loved was a happy thing in itself.
Besides, sometimes she had to actually see beautiful clothes first and form a mental template before she could conjure them, right?
Compared to independent women with careers and ideals of their own, she might have seemed somewhat lackluster as a housewife.
But in truth, she loved her current life very much.
Not everyone was so ambitious or driven, determined to become someone great, live an extraordinarily dazzling life, or flaunt their individuality.
Without hatred driving her, she was simply a little woman who wanted to live an ordinary life with the one she loved, someone easily satisfied and easily made happy.
That was why she loved watching humorous family sitcoms.
Most importantly, although her husband Li Chuan owned an international corporation, he was not a workaholic who flew all over the world every day to deal with company affairs, attend gatherings, and meet all kinds of women.
Li Chuan spent most of his time at home with her, only occasionally going out to play superhero, save the world, and help people in need.
"Hubby, are you there?"
After pulling back the curtains, Wanda called out toward the bedroom as usual.
When she did not hear Li Chuan answer, she gently opened a crack in the wardrobe door. A burst of clattering sounds immediately came from within, and she knew that Li Chuan had not gone out. He was studying magic in the wardrobe space.
That was right. Besides being the president of an international corporation, her husband Li Chuan was also an incredibly powerful mage—and the one who had introduced her to magic.
He loved researching all kinds of magic in the wardrobe at home.
After closing the wardrobe door, washing up briefly, and putting on an apron, she began making some pastries.
Under normal circumstances, she would not use magic to conjure food directly, because that made her feel as if the food had lost its soul. At most, she used magic to assist her.
After preparing a large plate of pastries and brewing two cups of tea, she carried them into the wardrobe as usual.
"Hubby, do you want to have some pastries with me?"
The two thousand and one Li Chuans in the wardrobe all turned around at the same time upon hearing Wanda’s call.
"Of course!"
"Oh, hubby, it looks like you have even more clones now. Which one is the real you?"
Seeing so many Li Chuans at once gave Wanda quite a fright.
Before entering the Xianxia World, Li Chuan could create at most three hundred Shadow Clones. And because of the time limit on Shadow Clones, whenever Wanda entered the wardrobe, she would generally only see a few dozen Li Chuans practicing magic and ninjutsu.
That was why seeing two thousand and one Li Chuans all at once startled her so badly.
The main reason was that Li Chuan had formed a Golden Core within his body, greatly improving every aspect of his physique. Combined with Sage Mode, his Shadow Clones could now persist for an entire day without dispersing.
They would only immediately disperse if using ninjutsu exhausted their Sage Chakra, or if the Shadow Clones were injured.
However, as long as the original body replenished its True Essence and Chakra in time, he could immediately create more Shadow Clones and continue.
"I’m here."
Li Chuan’s original body, which had been meditating to recover his True Essence, saw Wanda appear and dispelled the Multiple Shadow Clone technique. With his eyes closed, he received the memories and fatigue of all the Shadow Clones. After taking a while to recover, he stood and walked over to Wanda.
By now, the Sage Chakra in the Shadow Clones’ bodies was almost depleted anyway, so it was a good time to rest for a while.
Sage Chakra was a fusion of Chakra and True Essence. It could also be used to cast Daoist spells, and it even had a certain amplification effect, so it could be used in place of the original body for artifact refining and spell practice.
"Just so you know, you’re not allowed to use so many clones to bully me tonight. There are too many!"
Seeing Li Chuan approach, Wanda jokingly warned him.
"Uh, am I really that kind of husband?"
Li Chuan’s mouth twitched at Wanda’s words.
"Sure enough, no cultivation aptitude whatsoever."
He sat down, picked up a pastry, and stuffed it into his mouth. As he ate, he used the Daoist Cultivation Aptitude Identification Method he had just learned to assess Wanda’s body.
The result was that Wanda had absolutely no aptitude for cultivating Daoist magic.
In fact, after traveling through several worlds, he had long suspected as much.
Different worlds had different constitutions, and their cultivation methods could not be shared across worlds.
Take Chakra, for example. Without the constitution of someone from the Naruto World, even if one knew the Chakra Refining Technique, one could not extract Chakra from the body and spirit.
Unless he brought the Divine Tree from the Naruto World to the main world and used it to transform Earth in the main world, thereby altering all humans in the main world into people with the constitution of the Naruto World.
The same was true of magic from the Wizarding World. Without Wizard Bloodline, one likewise could not cast magic.
The cultivation world was the same. Without a cultivation physique and the ability to absorb external energy, even if one obtained cultivation methods, one could not draw Heaven and Earth Spiritual Energy into the body.
Li Chuan could do it because his original body came from the main world, but every time he entered a new world, the panel modified his body and granted him the same constitution as the people of that world.
In the Naruto World, he gained a five-element constitution. In the Wizarding World, he gained a pure-blood bloodline. In the Xianxia World, he gained a top-tier cultivation physique.
This also meant that, under normal circumstances, he could not actually teach anything he learned from other Minor Worlds to anyone in the main world.
The reason Wanda could learn the magic Li Chuan taught her was essentially because of her Scarlet Witch abilities—her power to alter reality through Chaos Magic.
Its nature differed from the magic he cast by converting magical power through Wizard Bloodline; only the effects were the same.
Wanda had no cultivation aptitude, which meant he could not guide her in learning the Grand Purity Great Grotto True Scripture or allow her to attain longevity through cultivation.
But that was all right. He had considered this long ago and had already thought of a solution.
He could not allow Wanda to attain longevity through cultivation, but he could use other methods.
"Wanda, let’s cultivate together!"
Using the Xuan Yin Sect’s dual cultivation method, he could use reciprocal replenishment to cleanse Wanda’s body with True Essence, indirectly increasing her lifespan.
