“What do you intend to do? If you need anything, I can help you, but it won’t be free.”

Lin Moyu laughed heartily. "That goes without saying. I am already very grateful that you could come, Senior Demon Emperor. Naturally, I will pay for the subsequent tasks."

Lin Moyu stated his thoughts. "Then I will speak plainly. First, I must trouble you, Senior Demon Emperor, to kill Master Kurong's Thorn Avatar and leave the corpse for me. Second, gather all the Dao Venerables above the 7th Realm in the Hundred Herbs Alliance. Master Kurong has already left, but his avatar remains. The Thorn Avatar doesn't know where to flee, and Su Pu has been in hot pursuit."

"He cannot escape. As for the Dao Venerables in the Hundred Herbs Alliance, the Undead Legion will conduct a carpet search. They won't escape either. Lin Moyu can easily handle those below the Dao Venerable 7th Realm himself; there is no need for the Demon Emperor to intervene. For those above the 7th Realm, please capture and bring them to me."

The Demon Emperor did not ask what Lin Moyu intended to do at all; he simply acted according to Lin Moyu's instructions. Likewise, he did not ask about the compensation. He believed Lin Moyu would certainly give him reasonable payment. Lin Moyu guided the Demon Emperor, quickly catching up to the Thorn Avatar, which was still entangled with Su Pu.

Although the Thorn Avatar was strong, it was no match for the Demon Emperor. In just a few moments, the Thorn Avatar was killed, and Lin Moyu collected it. Then, together with the Demon Emperor, he subdued the Dao Venerables above the 7th Realm in the Hundred Herbs Alliance one by one and gathered them together. This was not a difficult task for the Demon Emperor.

It just took a little effort. The Hundred Herbs Alliance was not a weak force; it had over three hundred members at the Dao Venerable 7th Realm, over seventy at the Dao Venerable 8th Realm, and exactly ten at the Ninth Realm of Dao Venerable. They varied in form; they were not entirely plants, as there were also a few spirit beasts. The most peculiar one was a half-insect, half-plant existence—half insect and half plant. They had all been injured by the Demon Emperor.

One by one, they were forced to gather together, listless. Lin Moyu told them to wait. After a while, dark clouds flew in from the distance—a vast expanse of black. Each dark cloud consisted of countless Undead Legions. The Legion Commanders controlled the various Undead Legions, escorting a large number of Dao Venerables below the 7th Realm over. If any refused to submit, they were beaten into submission. If beating them into submission didn't work, they were killed.

Lin Moyu did not intend to kill them all, but if they resisted, he would not show the slightest mercy. In just five days, all the surviving Dao Venerables of the Hundred Herbs Alliance had been gathered together. Looking down at these Dao Venerables, Lin Moyu said, "I will give you two paths: one is to live, and the other is to die. Those who choose the path of life must swear a Great Dao Oath never to be my enemy. I will select an area for you where you can continue to survive and reproduce. Those who choose the path of death—that is even simpler."

"I will personally send you on your way. However, I must make it clear: if any of you choose the path of death, I will not just kill you—I will kill your entire clan." Lin Moyu's voice reverberated in the souls of all the Dao Venerables like a ruthless demon. Many of the Dao Venerables present were leaders of their respective races. Especially for those above the 7th Realm, they each had a vast clan behind them. Dao Venerables formed from plants and trees valued their clans highly and were very united.

With conditions like these, Lin Moyu left them with almost no choice. Even the Demon Emperor couldn't help but praise him inwardly. Lin Moyu had grasped the Dao Venerables of the Hundred Herbs Alliance so precisely. It looked like two choices, but in reality, there was only one: either swear the Great Dao Oath and live, or face the annihilation of the entire clan. Clearly, Lin Moyu had overestimated the loyalty of the Dao Venerables to Master Kurong. Upon learning that Master Kurong would not return, they decisively chose to live.

One by one, the Dao Venerables swore the Great Dao Oath and carved the oath into their bloodline inheritance. In this way, it was equivalent to the entire clan taking the oath. Lin Moyu projected a map of the Western Continent and drew an area on it. This area was located between the Hundred Herbs Alliance and the Insect Race. It was a long, narrow region that naturally could not compare to the Hundred Herbs Alliance's previous territory, being only about one-fifth of the size.

But it was enough for these plants to live in. Since they were sentient plants, they didn't have high requirements for territory to begin with. The key was that with this area, once Lin Moyu occupied this territory, it would create a buffer between him and the Insect Race. If the Insect Race wanted to provoke Lin Moyu, they would first have to get past the plant Dao Venerables. Watching Lin Moyu's arrangement, the Demon Emperor, though remaining silent, felt that Lin Moyu had arranged things very well.

After making the arrangements, Lin Moyu said to the Demon Emperor, "Senior Demon Emperor, do you think this arrangement is acceptable?" The Demon Emperor chuckled, "No problem at all. Your arrangement is excellent." Lin Moyu nodded and announced loudly, "Then it is settled. I give you ten days to start moving!" As his voice fell, all the plant Dao Venerables moved quickly. Amidst the rumbling of the earth, the plant Dao Venerables left rapidly to begin the migration of their entire clans. Ten days was enough time for them to move.

Ten days later, four-fifths of the original Hundred Herbs Alliance's territory, plus the territory of the Nether Race, all belonged to Lin Moyu. The territory Lin Moyu occupied now was actually on par with the territory Master Kurong had occupied previously. After all the Dao Venerables had left, the Demon Emperor asked, "Fellow Daoist Lin, how do you intend to handle your territory?" Lin Moyu replied, "I haven't decided yet. I would appreciate some advice from you, Senior Demon Emperor." As he spoke, Lin Moyu took out two ice-fire dao stones and handed them to the Demon Emperor, who was visibly surprised. "So polite?"

Lin Moyu smiled and said, "I troubled you, Senior Demon Emperor, to come from thousands of miles away to save me, and you even helped me kill people and search for others. This compensation is well-deserved." The Demon Emperor chuckled, "Then I will not stand on ceremony. As for how you should develop this territory, I will give you some advice."

Chapter 3311: Why Not Build an Undead Empire?

The Demon Emperor was just like the Third Ancestor; he was an old fox. Lin Moyu was sufficiently polite, so the Demon Emperor naturally would not be stingy. Moreover, the Demon Emperor saw Lin Moyu's potential. People like Lin Moyu were hard to come by in an entire era. Such a person's future achievements were limitless. If one could not kill such an opponent, then one should befriend them. The Demon Emperor said, "There are generally several ways to handle one's territory. The most common method is just like what I do: establish a force, and you act as the king of this force. There is also another way."

"It is to do as the Third Ancestor does: infiltrate from various aspects. Actually, the Lufeng Chamber of Commerce is not as simple as you think. The things the Third Ancestor has done…" Speaking of this, the Demon Emperor smiled mysteriously and did not continue. Lin Moyu caught the implication. The Third Ancestor's force, besides the Lufeng Chamber of Commerce on the surface, must have parts hidden in the dark. This fit Lin Moyu's impression of the Third Ancestor well. It was very likely that the Third Ancestor would do such a thing. Perhaps the force hidden in the shadows was even more terrifying than the Lufeng Chamber of Commerce. Lin Moyu asked, "Besides that, is there anything else?"

The Demon Emperor chuckled, "Besides my method and the Third Ancestor's, there is the way of the one in the Boundary Sea: direct rule. However, he has unique advantages that others cannot emulate. You should be able to figure out the reason yourself if you think about it." Lin Moyu's thoughts moved like lightning, and he instantly understood the difference. The King of the Boundary Sea's greatest advantage was his absolute ruling power over the Sea Race. This was different from the Demon Emperor. Below the Demon Emperor were various Royal Clans and a large number of demon clans. Each clan had its own system, its own living habits, its own cultivation methods, and its own progenitor. Moreover, their progenitors might be stronger than the Demon Emperor. If a progenitor were to be resurrected one day, the Demon Emperor's ruling position would likely be weakened.

The Sea Race, however, was completely different. There were no clans in the Sea Race; everyone followed the orders of the King of the Boundary Sea. The King of the Boundary Sea possessed truly absolute power, and his word was law. The Demon Emperor said, "These are the three ways. The Third Ancestor's method is not suitable for you; you can choose the other two." Lin Moyu said, "Thank you for your guidance, Senior Demon Emperor. I will think it over carefully before making a decision." The Demon Emperor chuckled, "There is no rush for this matter. You have plenty of time. Let's go, let's go see how many good things that old guy Kurong has collected over all these years." The Demon Emperor led Lin Moyu towards Master Kurong's lair.

On the way, Lin Moyu pondered how to handle his new territory. From the Demon Emperor's words, Lin Moyu could be certain that the size of the territory occupied was very important. As for where this importance lay, the Demon Emperor did not say, and Lin Moyu could not guess. However, he could be certain that it was definitely very important, so this territory could absolutely not be ceded to anyone; it had to be under his own control. The several origin spirit veins beneath the territory had to be controlled by him as well. At first, he had thought about moving Yudao City here, but now, after hearing what the Demon Emperor said, Lin Moyu decisively abandoned that idea.

Yudao City was developing well in the Eastern Continent for now, so there was no need to move it. Furthermore, the Lufeng Chamber of Commerce was already in Yudao City, meaning the Third Ancestor's influence had already infiltrated. This was not a bad thing, but it meant Yudao City was no longer entirely his own territory; he had to let others have a share. The Third Ancestor had always done this, so there was no major problem. Lin Moyu had never thought of monopolizing it either, as that would only slow down the development of Yudao City. However, for this new land, Lin Moyu did not intend to let the Third Ancestor get involved. He decided to occupy it himself. Lin Moyu thought of the simplest method: to forge this area into his own Undead Empire.

The King of the Boundary Sea controlled the entire Sea Race, but each member still had their own thoughts. They might even wonder if the King of the Boundary Sea's actions were correct. In terms of ruling power, even the King of the Boundary Sea was far inferior to his own Undead Legion. The Legion Commanders also possessed intelligence, but they would never wonder if his orders were correct. As long as it was an order he issued, even if it were wrong, even if it meant sending them to their deaths, they would go without hesitation. In this way, this territory would be exclusively his. If he could obtain benefits in the future, they would be maximized. The Demon Emperor had clearly dealt with Master Kurong before. He led the way directly to Master Kurong's lair. It was a huge valley, surrounded by three mountains, with only one entrance. The Demon Emperor said, "Master Kurong's lair is inside. This guy set up a few formations here; it's always a hassle for me whenever I come." Lin Moyu smiled and asked, "You have been here many times?" The Demon Emperor said, "I don't get along with that guy. I have indeed been here a few times, but usually, I just call that guy out to talk. There are too many formations here."
