Who Said You Were the Only One? (Please Bookmark, Please Follow)
"So, you kidnapped me just for this?"
Tony dropped onto the ground, disbelief written all over his face.
"The Superman who suddenly appeared in our world must be an idiot, right?"
Of course, Tony did not dare say something like that to Peter’s face. Otherwise, he would probably be sliced in half by a searing laser the next second—one half on the left, the other on the right.
"You only need to tell me whether you’ll do it or not!"
Peter was naturally no idiot.
If he went to ask Tony for help himself, whether Tony would agree was one matter. Whether Tony would put his full effort into it after agreeing was another.
More importantly, that would mean Peter owed Tony a favor.
But now, with their roles simply reversed, Tony had no choice but to devote himself fully to working for Peter.
"Fine. Do I have any other choice?"
Wearing nothing but thin pajamas, Tony hugged himself and tried to retain some warmth, his tone full of helplessness.
"But everything else can wait. If you don’t give me something warm to wear, I might freeze to death any second now."
In less than a few minutes, Tony’s lips had already begun turning purple from the cold.
"Ten minutes."
Leaving those words behind, Peter shot off through the air in an instant.
"Hiss…"
Seeing Peter leave, Tony shivered as he hurriedly scrambled up from the ground.
He looked at the opening above the Ice Cave, then quickly rushed to the outer rock wall and began climbing with both hands and feet.
Yet less than a minute later, Peter flew back, carrying a thick down jacket and a pile of dry firewood.
Crash.
Peter set the firewood on the ground and watched with interest as Tony had only managed to climb less than two meters up the rock wall.
Didn’t this guy say he’d be back in ten minutes?
Tony, caught between climbing higher and going back down, had an awkward expression on his face.
Then his foot slipped, and he slid down the rock wall like a salted fish.
"Ahem, it was too cold just now. I got up to exercise a little!"
Tony landed on his rear and gave an embarrassed laugh.
"If you can climb out tonight, I’ll let you go."
It was not that Peter looked down on Tony. Without anything else to help him, Tony might never be able to climb out of here for the rest of his life.
"Put it on."
As Peter tossed the down jacket to Tony, Heat Vision shot from his eyes and instantly ignited the firewood on the ground.
As the firewood burned, the surrounding temperature gradually began to rise.
"Whew…"
Tony immediately put on the down jacket and plopped down beside the fire, exhaling the lingering chill from his body.
"By the way, what exactly is this suit you want me to make?"
As the temperature rose, Tony finally began thinking about what Peter wanted him to do.
After all, only by doing this properly could he truly save his own life.
"Have you ever heard of Nanometal…"
"What? A Nanometal Suit that could cover the entire body within seconds? Are you sure you’re not joking?"
Hearing Peter’s request, Tony shot to his feet in shock.
"You want me, here, in this primitive environment, without any materials or laboratory equipment, to build you a Nano-Suit from scratch all by myself?"
"I think you might as well just kill me. This is simply impossible."
To Tony, such a request was no different from asking an unarmed primitive man to craft an AK-47 by hand. It was practically impossible.
"Setting aside the matter of a laboratory and equipment for now, who told you that you were the only one?"
After saying that, Peter vanished from the spot.
A moment later, Peter returned.
After putting down the person in his hand, he shot into the sky again and vanished in an instant.
"Ahem, hello. I’m Tony Stark."
After staring blankly at the suddenly appearing man for a moment, Tony slowly greeted him.
"Blech… Waaah!"
Yet the response he received was a bout of violent vomiting.
"Ahem, you’ll get used to this sort of thing."
As someone who had been through it himself, Tony comforted the unlucky man, who seemed ready to vomit up everything in his stomach. That’s right, exactly that feeling.
"Ahem, hello, Mr. Tony Stark. I’ve long heard of you."
"I once went to your company seeking funding for my research project, but I was rejected because the project did not align with your company’s development direction. Unfortunately, I never even got to meet you."
Finally suppressing the urge to keep vomiting, the man slowly straightened up and extended a hand to Tony.
"Still, it’s a pleasure to meet you. I’m Reed Richards."
Before the two could shake hands.
Another figure appeared beside them, drawing their attention.
"Blech…"
"Hahaha…" ×2
Seeing an elderly man with graying hair immediately begin vomiting the moment he landed, the two, who had still been somewhat surprised, burst into laughter together.
In less than half an hour, Peter made several round trips with his Superman abilities.
He brought back several famous Marvel Universe scientists he knew from all over the world, their fields of research covering nearly every popular branch of science.
For Peter as he was now, bringing back most of the scientists was extremely easy.
He even left almost no trace behind.
However, taking away the final scientist required Peter to expend a little effort—only a little.
Africa, Wakanda.
On the surface, it was an incredibly backward tribal nation that lived by farming and raising livestock.
Yet hidden beneath the illusion was a technologically advanced, futuristic high-tech city.
Moreover, beneath this land lay the richest and most precious mineral resource in the entire Marvel Universe—Vibranium.
But Peter had not come for Vibranium today.
He had come for a scientist in Wakanda whose intelligence was no weaker than Tony’s.
Inside the Wakandan royal palace, King T’Chaka was discussing Wakanda’s future direction with his subordinates.
"Bad news, Your Majesty! Someone is breaking into Wakanda…"
A cry of alarm suddenly rang through the previously quiet and solemn palace.
"What’s going on…"
Boom!
Just as King T’Chaka was still reeling in surprise.
A massive roar came from outside.
"Bad news! The shield module in the southwestern sky has failed."
In an instant, the protective shield, capable of withstanding missile strikes, had failed completely.
"What exactly is going on?"
King T’Chaka’s face was filled with shock.
"Reporting to Your Majesty, it seems to be… Superman. Damn it, he’s heading for the princess’s palace."
"Damn it, send people to protect the princess immediately."
T’Chaka had no time to consider why Superman had broken into Wakanda. His concern for his daughter made him frantic.
"I’m sorry, Your Majesty. The princess has already been taken."
