Will is Power!

Bruce Yu instinctively raised the ring that had suddenly appeared on his index finger and rasped out the oath that had just been branded into his consciousness:

"Bright day blazing, dark night dimming."

The charred skin on Bruce Yu’s body peeled away layer by layer like coke, revealing a pale green layer of newborn keratin beneath. After his eyeballs had been corroded into ash-gray lenses, tiny Lantern Ring totems suddenly emerged upon them. His pupils became two spinning Green Lantern symbols, and every object in his field of vision took on the quantum state of flowing energy.

His carbonized foot bones crackled sharply as green energy threads rewove the fractures. His toes reshaped within the liquid stream of light, and every toenail gleamed with a metallic sheen.

Seeing Bruce Yu’s body, which had nearly collapsed completely, begin to recover, Batman’s pupils suddenly constricted beneath his red mask.

He staggered two steps back and knocked over the console behind him. Corrosive liquid sprayed from ruptured pipes onto his combat boots, but he did not notice it at all.

"That’s impossible!" Red Death Batman roared, tearing off his mask to reveal half a face corroded black by the Speed Force. "You clearly already… you clearly already…" He frantically hammered his temples with his knuckles, confirming that this was not an illusion created by Fear Gas.

He staggered against the wall and stared at his trembling palm. "Where did you steal this alien technology from?! What the hell is this?"

As soon as he spoke, Green Lantern Energy wrapped around Bruce Yu’s body like liquid. A spinning green vortex appeared beneath Bruce Yu’s feet and swallowed him whole!

Batman was dumbfounded!

He did not even know what he was supposed to do now. Leave? Or make a battle plan?

Bruce Yu plummeted through the wormhole at high speed as countless fluorescent green bolts of lightning exploded around him. He watched fragments of his torn thigh reassemble in the green light, then get covered by a pair of tight Green Lantern Leather Pants!

"Oh God! If I fart in these things, won’t they puff up into a huge bulge?!"

Not wanting to bring bad memories to the other Fang Yus, Bruce Yu traveled through the wormhole without speaking to anyone.

After a disorienting passage, Bruce Yu fell out of the wormhole and crashed heavily onto a silver metal platform!

He had barely pushed himself up when three bizarre Green Lantern Creatures surrounded him.

The Green Lantern Chicken flapped its wings, and a scanning beam shot from its comb. "A new soldier? Impact resistance meets the standard!" Tilting its head, it pecked Bruce Yu’s shoulder with its beak. "Bone hardness acceptable!"

The Green Lantern Fly’s Compound Eyes flashed with green light as it circled Bruce Yu three times. "Mental Resistance check complete!" it said in a mechanical voice. "No Fear Residue detected!"

The Green Lantern Elephant wrapped its trunk around Bruce Yu and tossed him into the air. An energy wave swept over his entire body. "Willpower Strength approved!"

The Green Lantern Chicken walked over while patting a basketball. "Newcomer, you’re a member of the Green Lantern Corps from now on. This is the position you’ll be responsible for."

"Cluck-cluck-coo~" It crowed, then pulled out something resembling a tablet and projected an image of Earth onto the floor. "Protect it!"

"Mm…" Bruce Yu nodded weakly.

He was barely curious about anything anymore. The only answer he wanted was whether, after becoming a Green Lantern, he could give this power back to the other Fang Yus.

At that moment, a group of visible, tadpole-shaped white liquid floating in the air flew over.

"Welcome to Oa, Earth Tough Guy! I am your guide. Now, you will come with me to the Training Ground, where I will teach you how to use the Green Lantern Ring!"

Led by the tadpole-shaped white liquid, Bruce Yu arrived at Oa’s Training Ground.

The Training Ground was vast, with gentle green light emanating from all around, as though the entire space were shrouded in this mysterious power.

"Listen carefully, Bruce Yu." As the white liquid began speaking, Bruce Yu interrupted it.

"Wait. I don’t know your name, but can I call you Dedicated Bro?"

The white liquid nodded. "Call me whatever you want. The Green Lantern Ring’s power comes from its user’s willpower and imagination. It can manifest the things you imagine into reality, like this."

As he spoke, Dedicated Bro flashed with light, and a ten-meter-long great axe appeared before him. The great axe radiated emerald light, while its blade glinted with an icy sheen and looked incomparably sharp.

"Now, try creating a weapon as well. Use your imagination and make the Green Lantern Ring’s power serve you!"

Bruce Yu frowned slightly.

If imagination could already become reality, there was naturally no need to imagine a cold weapon.

The image of a Rocket Launcher appeared in his mind. He focused his attention and poured both his willpower and his imagination of the Rocket Launcher into the Green Lantern Ring.

The Green Lantern Ring shone brilliantly as a green energy fluctuation spread outward. A Rocket Launcher gradually formed before him!

The Rocket Launcher looked exceptionally realistic. Green energy formed its outer shell, and every detail—the launch tube, grip, sight, and more—was clearly visible.

Bruce Yu gripped the Rocket Launcher and felt its weight and texture. It felt like a real weapon!

Dedicated Bro stared at the strangely shaped Rocket Launcher in Bruce Yu’s hands. He froze for a moment, then burst into a shrill, ear-piercing laugh, tumbling wildly through the air as though he were having a seizure.

"Ha ha ha ha! What the hell is that thing you imagined? It looks bizarre and has none of the majesty or ferocity of a weapon. It’s a complete joke!"

The Pig-Headed Green Lantern beside him also clutched his belly and laughed. His bloated body rocked back and forth, while his two large tusks flickered in and out of sight beneath the green glow.

"Exactly! You went through all that trouble to make this thing, and who knows what it’s even good for? It looks ridiculous!"

The two Green Lanterns laughed until tears nearly came out. In their limited understanding, weapons were supposed to be imposing things like Great Axes—coldly gleaming weapons that could hack enemies apart in close combat. Bruce Yu’s "masterpiece" was simply beyond their comprehension.

Bruce Yu merely curled his lips into a faint smile without explaining.

He looked up at the Pig-Headed Green Lantern and asked calmly, "Can we begin?" The Pig-Headed Green Lantern finally managed to stop laughing and nodded forcefully, though that contemptuous smirk still remained on his face.

The next second, green light surged around the Pig-Headed Green Lantern as he imagined a massive spiked club.

The club stood more than twice a person’s height and was covered in sharp spikes. Illuminated by the green glow, it gave off a chilling aura.

The Pig-Headed Green Lantern gripped the club with both hands, let out a strange cry, and charged fiercely toward Bruce Yu. A howling gust followed in his wake as he tried to smash Bruce Yu to pieces with this devastating blow!

But he never expected Bruce Yu to remain perfectly calm. The instant he rushed close, Bruce Yu decisively pulled the trigger of the Rocket Launcher.
