Will test, 999 stone steps! ..

Chapter 573: Will Assessment, 999 Stone Steps

! [First Chapter]

"Tian Yuan True Method!"

Ye Tian decided to choose this Cultivation Technique. The Tian Yuan True Method has a total of seven layers. Mastering the first layer, although it cannot improve the Life Level, can increase Lifespan by 100 years. Mastering the second layer can reach the second-tier Life Level. Mastering the third layer can reach the third-tier Life Level. Mastering the fourth layer can reach the fourth-tier Life Level.

Once all seven layers of the Tian Yuan True Method are mastered, one can become a seventh-tier lifeform, transcending the Universe, which can be described as the Undying Realm.

Previously, Ye Tian had obtained the Perfection stage of the third layer of the Chang Sheng Gui Yi Technique, which was equivalent to the fourth layer of the Tian Yuan True Method. Unfortunately, the cultivation of the Chang Sheng Gui Yi Technique was extremely incomplete. The fourth-tier lifeform achieved using the Chang Sheng Gui Yi Technique actually had side effects, making it troublesome to switch to other Life Level Cultivation Techniques later.

Fortunately, Ye Tian had only practiced to the second layer, so the side effects were not significant, and he could switch to the Tian Yuan True Method.

Putting away the Tian Yuan True Method, Ye Tian was in a very good mood.

At this time, the Artifact Spirit said again: "What you just passed was only the second round of assessment of the Yuangu Hall. There are still the third and fourth rounds of assessment ahead."

"The rewards for each round of assessment are also very generous, but they are not necessarily as precious as the Tian Yuan True Method. This time, I made an exception and lowered the difficulty for you, so you could pass the Heaven-Defying difficulty and obtain the Tian Yuan True Method. Otherwise, you would never have been able to obtain it."

Ye Tian nodded, also understanding that with his strength, if he really had to go through the full version of the Heaven-Defying difficulty, he would indeed not be able to pass.

"Go and proceed to the third round of assessment!"

As soon as the Artifact Spirit finished speaking, Ye Tian found himself being teleported away.

The next moment, Ye Tian found himself at the foot of a Divine Mountain.

At the same time, besides him, there were many Divine Ranks here, including Crown Prince Junjian and Daoist Yunzhong of the Human Race.

"Your Highness Ten Thousand Laws, you've come!"

Crown Prince Junjian and Daoist Yunzhong flew over and greeted Ye Tian.

"Are you conducting the third round of assessment?"

Ye Tian asked.

"Not yet!"

Crown Prince Junjian shook his head. "We also just arrived not long ago and are still observing, but we've basically figured out the content of the third round of assessment!"

"Oh, what is it?"

Ye Tian was curious.

"It's will!"

Crown Prince Junjian said, "Your Highness Ten Thousand Laws, please look at this Divine Mountain. One cannot fly on the Divine Mountain; one can only walk up."

"There are a total of 999 stone steps from the foot of the mountain to the top. One step per stone step. But wanting to reach the top is extremely difficult. On the stone steps, one will endure an unseen impact of will. If one's will is not strong enough, they will fail instantly. A person only has one chance; once they fail, they can no longer walk the stone steps!"

"Will, so that's how it is!"

Ye Tian nodded.

At this moment, some Divine Ranks were already attempting the third round, but they were walking very slowly, some even taking a long time to take a single step, showing the terrifying extent of the will impact.

Currently, the one with the best results was Crown Prince Tianxuan. He was already on the 135th stone step and was still walking up the mountain at a speed that wasn't slow.

Because Ye Tian had continuously braved the Death-level difficulty and the Heaven-Defying difficulty, time had been delayed, resulting in many people already attempting the third round.

Of course, who went first or last did not affect the results.

"Your Highness Ten Thousand Laws, we are also going to attempt it!"

Crown Prince Junjian and Daoist Yunzhong cupped their hands.

"Let's go together!"

Ye Tian said.

Whoosh whoosh whoosh!!! Ye Tian, Crown Prince Junjian, and Daoist Yunzhong, the three of them, flew to the first stone step. The moment they stepped onto it, a powerful impact of will surged over.

Will is related to Soul strength and Heart-Nature, but it is not an absolute relationship. Although some people have weak Souls, their will is very strong, while some people have strong Souls but very weak will.

On the path of cultivation, people with strong will often find it easier to progress, easier to break through Bottlenecks, and can even exert stronger combat power.

The will on the first stone step was not intense. To Ye Tian, it was only like a gentle breeze blowing.

Thus, Ye Tian walked up step by step, just like a normal person walking normally. Meanwhile, Crown Prince Junjian and Daoist Yunzhong also faced the impact of the will very easily at first, but after walking dozens of stone steps, they became somewhat solemn, and their walking speed slowed down significantly.

5 stone steps! 6 stone steps! 7 stone steps! 8 stone steps! Ye Tian quickly passed 100 stone steps, leading the other Divine Ranks. Currently, there were not many Divine Ranks ahead of him.

He continued to catch up, passing one Divine Rank after another.

Suddenly.

A Divine Rank on the 127th stone step let out a sudden scream and was directly sent flying backwards, falling off the mountain.

This fall meant failure and he could no longer continue the assessment. His result was finally fixed at the 127th stone step, and he would certainly not be able to get a very good reward.

Time passed bit by bit. When Ye Tian reached the 200th stone step, he felt a slight pressure. That unseen will was like countless sharp blades, impacting his will at every moment.

Ye Tian's will, like his state of mind, was incomparably strong. The will impact of only the 200th stone step clearly could not do anything to him.

Crown Prince Tianxuan was now at the 253rd stone step, Crown Prince Xuefeng was at the 246th stone step, and there were several other Divine Ranks at the 200th stone step.

Next, Ye Tian passed the 250th stone step, 300th stone step, 350th stone step one by one.

At the 400th stone step, Ye Tian finally caught up with Crown Prince Tianxuan.

Crown Prince Tianxuan noticed Ye Tian and looked over. "Your Highness Ten Thousand Laws, you've come as well. Let's have a competition. In terms of strength, I am indeed inferior to you, but in terms of will, you may not necessarily be stronger than me!"

"Compete with you? Sorry, not interested!"

After Ye Tian finished speaking, he stepped onto the 401st stone step, and then stepped onto the 402nd stone step. He stepped onto two stone steps in succession, which meant facing the will impact of two stone steps at once. Doing so was very dangerous. The safe way was to take it step by step and buffer a bit so that the will could easily accept the impact.

"Your Highness Ten Thousand Laws, do you not dare to compete?"

Crown Prince Tianxuan shouted.

"Hmph, catch up to me first before you talk!"

Ye Tian said contemptuously.

Then, Ye Tian utilized his speed and soon surpassed Crown Prince Tianxuan by several stone steps.

Seeing this, Crown Prince Tianxuan also accelerated his speed, wanting to catch up with Ye Tian. However, because his speed increased, he almost fell off due to the impact of the will, scaring him so much that he didn't dare to chase so crazily anymore.

"Damn it, Your Highness Ten Thousand Laws' will is also so strong. Am I really inferior to him in every aspect?"

Crown Prince Tianxuan asked himself gloomily.

450th stone step! 500th stone step! 550th stone step! 600th stone step! When Ye Tian stepped onto the 600th stone step, the pressure was also very great. Every impact of will made him feel somewhat uncomfortable, even dizzy. He needed to deal with the will impact with all his strength; otherwise, his will could easily be crushed.

For every subsequent stone step, Ye Tian walked very slowly and needed to rest for a long time to adjust his breathing.

"Estimating based on this kind of will increase, I probably won't be able to pass the 700th stone step. I suspect this is the true difficulty of the assessment. The previous Heaven-Defying difficulty assessment had lowered the standards; otherwise, I wouldn't have been able to pass it."

"Now, the Yuangu Hall Artifact Spirit has not lowered the standards. It is undoubtedly impossible for me to pass the 999 stone steps."

Ye Tian thought to himself.

However, even if he couldn't reach the 999th stone step, his current result completely crushed the other Divine Ranks and even became the result that other Divine Ranks dreamed of.
