Your actions have earned the appreciation of the Outer God?? Your reputation has increased slightly. Current: Revered (95/100)

Bai Cangshu continuously drew those innocents caught up in the disaster into the Outer God’s faith. The fox Outer God, seemingly Inari Ōkami, was clearly very pleased with Bai Cangshu’s actions.

It was not a native god of this world, nor was it the sort of being that wanted to use monsters’ power to completely purge and exterminate humanity.

It was merely an Outer God that had fled here from a world where mystery was fading away. To it, expanding its faith and ensuring the persistence of mystery were what pleased it most.

For that reason, the tiny bit of divine power it scattered at this moment was utterly negligible.

The lives of those infused with divine power had already been replaced by it. Because there were simply too many of them, Bai Cangshu and Inari Ōkami did not grant them any great power. Just a trace of divine power was enough to give these humans life force powerful enough to almost bring them back from the dead.

Even some whose heads had been smashed open with huge holes, having died only recently and with their souls not yet dispersed, regenerated under life force comparable to that of monsters.

Exclamations of awe at such a miracle could be heard everywhere, yet strangely, those resurrected by the miracle showed little amazement.

The first man Bai Cangshu had healed with divine power held the hand of his equally restored daughter. The two quietly followed behind Bai Cangshu. The anxious agitation in his eyes over his daughter’s impending death had already vanished.

Everything had become as still as stagnant water.

Boom!

The violent explosion seemed to have come from dozens of kilometers away, perhaps even farther. By the time the air tremors reached here, they could only scatter Bai Cangshu’s long hair.

Bai Cangshu sniffed. There was a familiar scent—the stench of blood… and despair.

Bzzzz~

Helicopters appeared in the sky nearby. Heroes sent as reinforcements from other cities, medical personnel, and Professional Heroes finally began arriving one after another after the situation here had settled.

A helicopter soon landed not far from Bai Cangshu. The sexy woman in a simple red suit had sharp eyes and spotted the tall Bai Cangshu standing before the ruins at once.

"Hello, I’m a reporter from B City’s NHB TV Station. Were you the first to arrive here and save these people?!"

The woman’s voice was excited, loud enough to cut through the helicopter rotor noise.

Bai Cangshu had not intended to pay her any attention, but then he suddenly saw a familiar figure appear roughly a thousand meters behind the helicopter.

The man wore a yellow bodysuit, his tattered white cape fluttering violently in the wind. The carefree expression on the bald man’s face had disappeared. He lowered his head slightly, leaving his eyes hidden in shadow.

An overwhelming pressure bore down on him. In that instant, Bai Cangshu could not help wanting to imitate the aura the other man was displaying—the sensation of power compressed to its absolute limit.

Drip.

Black blood trickled from Bai Cangshu’s nose, then more and more of it followed.

"H-Hero… sir?"

The beautiful reporter’s pupils widened. She instinctively drew her collar together, but then realized that this powerful hero did not seem to be looking at her, and…

"Your hair…"

Bai Cangshu’s long hair had unknowingly turned completely white. He stood where he was as wrinkles began to form on his skin.

"Stop it, Mercenary Tao!"

A voice reached Bai Cangshu’s ears. Among the teams from the hero agencies that had come as reinforcements, a black sedan sped over and stopped between the helicopter and Bai Cangshu.

Fubuki, who had been sent away by Tatsumaki’s psychic powers after rushing to the desert as reinforcements, appeared once more.

She quickly threw open the car door. Blue psychic power enveloped her body as she grabbed Bai Cangshu and tried to drag him into the car.

Lilith, seated in the passenger seat, looked at Saitama in the distance, her body trembling faintly.

Saitama… had killing intent?

And Saitama was clearly dragging a gigantic arm in one hand.

Warning. Secondary World B711 has entered an abnormal state. World difficulty reassessment now in progress.
Assessing...
Assessment complete. World difficulty fixed at: Purgatory.
According to Article 3 of the Space Safety Regulations · Special Circumstance 1, reincarnators may abandon their mission and return to the Space.

Lilith’s gaze trembled. It was her first time seeing such special circumstances. The Space was actually allowing reincarnators to return directly.

"What exactly happened…"

"Come help!"

Fubuki understood more clearly what was happening, but she did not say a word. She tried to shove Mercenary Tao into the car, but his muscles were so hard that she could not move him at all.

By now, Bai Cangshu’s mouth and nose were filled with blood.

Yet his eyes remained wide open as he stared at Saitama, as though he were looking at the most beautiful sight in the world.

A flood of information constantly poured into Bai Cangshu’s brain: the frequency of muscle tremors, the flow of neurons, the contraction of skin pores.

Massive amounts of information about Saitama’s body continuously entered his mind.

But none of it was the secret of that power.

I want to see it clearly. I really want to see it clearly…

Bai Cangshu’s face had begun to turn old and wrinkled, and white strands of long hair started falling out. He could feel the spiral within him accelerating faster and faster, nearing its limit.

The overly rapid rotation of the spiral was causing his body to rapidly break through, comprehend, and adapt, trying to imitate Saitama’s state.

But that rotation was also causing his stable genetic chain to begin collapsing.

Life depended on the spiral eventually stabilizing. "Stability" shaped the form of life, but it also shackled that form.

It was a kind of restraint.

Bai Cangshu’s Limit Break Spiral was an extremely special state. He could actively restart the spiral, causing his stable life form to rotate and evolve once more.

But because this rotation was no longer stable, it carried terrifying risks. Just as the talent description stated, this spiral had the potential to cause his flesh to collapse back into a state of Primordial Soup.

At this moment, that possibility was rising without limit.

High in the heavens, the Outer God, who had just been delighted by its follower’s actions, was beginning to feel uneasy.

That bald man had seemed utterly powerless in its perception, like an ordinary person.

But now, as the man drew nearer, it actually felt a strange sense of dread. For a god, that should have been a transcendent premonition.

A terrifying image appeared before it for no reason. That bald man, carrying an aura so powerful it made one’s hair stand on end, shattered the scene before him with a single punch.

It suddenly understood. The world it had seized was warning it that this world’s former god had fallen at that man’s hands.

With a thought from the fox Outer God, thousands of people wrapped in white light began emerging from the ruins, walking expressionlessly toward Saitama.

They spread out before Saitama like a human wall.

Saitama’s face remained expressionless. He took one step forward.

Boom!

The powerful wind pressure instantly swept away the human wall. As the people toppled aside, Saitama had already appeared before Bai Cangshu.

Lily of the Three-Section Staff cried out as the black sedan was pushed sideways by the wind pressure.

Fubuki, too, was pressed against the car door without any ability to resist.

"You really want to see my power clearly?"
