Wrath

"They dared cause trouble at our Recycling Plant? They’re asking to die. Brothers, kill them!"

Wade raised his submachine gun and sprayed the remaining jeeps. The other guards showed no mercy either, unloading their ammunition with all their might. Doppelganger fired the most bullets of all, because he had sent a full thirty duplicates up onto the walls to fight.

"Damn it."

Greed led the believers behind the jeeps. He cursed, then looked up at Wrath on the Pickup Truck and shouted, "Wrath, charge in and crush them all."

"No problem. No one can stop me."

Wrath, shirtless, jumped down from the back seat of the Pickup Truck. Ignoring the bullets, he strode toward the Recycling Plant’s gate. The bullets struck his body but could not even pierce his skin, clanging as they fell to the ground.

Then Wrath accelerated, charging fiercely toward the gate like a Man Bull. Every step made the ground tremble.

"Whoa, is that an upgraded Juggernaut? Grenades, rockets, blow that bastard to pieces!"

Wade pulled a grenade from behind his back and hurled it at Wrath. At the same time, two rockets streaked toward Wrath with glowing trails.

Wrath still did not dodge. The grenade and rocket launcher struck him at the same time, erupting into massive flames and shockwaves.

Before Wade and the others could celebrate, Wrath burst out of the flames without a scratch. Then he slammed into the gate with a thunderous crash. Both iron doors flew away and smashed heavily onto the square, letting out a deafening roar.

Iron Wall screamed, spat out blood, and collapsed. Everyone sucked in a breath. This guy was terrifying.

"No one is better at charging than Juggernaut."

Juggernaut’s eyes turned red. He roared, his muscles bulging all over, and thundered toward Wrath. Wrath gave a scornful smile and charged right at Juggernaut.

Boom! The two collided like savage beasts. Then, accompanied by a scream, Juggernaut spewed blood and flew backward, smashing through a warehouse wall and vanishing from sight.

As for Wrath, he did not take even a single step back. He had merely stopped.

"Juggernaut can’t do it. Send in the Real Tank."

Wade was shocked. Though he looked down on Juggernaut, he knew full well how strong the man was. Yet Wrath had utterly crushed him.

The tank that had long been standing ready immediately turned its cannon. A massive shell blasted out, struck Wrath, and exploded with a thunderous boom. Even Wrath was sent flying and crashed heavily to the ground.

Seeing Wrath get knocked back, everyone cheered. Storm said in amazement, "You people even have a tank? By the way, is this thing legal?"

"Absolutely legal. It was a scrapped tank. We just fixed it up."

Wade said, "Too bad the paperwork for the armed helicopter isn’t done yet. Otherwise, dealing with those bastards outside would be easy."

"How does that look like a scrapped tank?"

Storm could not help complaining. The American military had no integrity at all, did they? They would sell anything?

Just then, Wrath climbed back to his feet. To everyone’s shock, he was almost completely uninjured.

"Die!"

Wrath roared and charged toward the tank. At the same time, Greed controlled more than a dozen eyes to fly into the air and fire tiny beams at the guards on the walls.

The guards hurriedly dodged. Seizing the opportunity, the believers emerged from behind the jeeps with AKs in hand. The battle officially erupted.

As Wade fired at the believers outside, he shouted, "Cyclops, hurry up and open your eyes to blast that big guy! Storm, strike him with lightning!"

"Open my eyes?"

Cyclops was speechless. Pressing a hand to his visor, he fired a massive laser beam at Wrath. Wrath did not dare be careless. Black Qi emerged from his right hand, forming a shield against the laser.

Bang! The laser drove Wrath backward again and again. He roared, abruptly stopped, then pushed against the laser and charged forward step by step.

Cyclops was horrified. It was the first time he had seen someone withstand his laser head-on. He hurriedly increased the output.

Storm flew into the air, her eyes turning white. She drew in lightning, preparing to strike. Just then, an electric bullet hit her in the waist from afar. Her body went numb, and she fell from the sky.

Wolverine hurried forward and caught her. He complained, "I told you, flying in the sky makes you a living target."

Storm glared at Wolverine while twitching. Was this really the time to say that? Why didn’t he hurry up and pull the electric bullet out of her?

The one who had attacked Storm was Cable. He was hiding in the distance with a sniper rifle.

As for why he used electric bullets? It was simple. He knew Storm was an X-Men member, and he did not want to hurt the X-Men.

"Why is he here too?"

Cable stared at Cyclops, who was firing lasers, feeling deeply puzzled. Just then, a voice suddenly sounded in his mind. "I found you. Are you really my son?"

"That voice…"

Cable paused, then said, "Strictly speaking, no."

Jean was somewhat disappointed. "I see. Then Bert was messing with us. You aren’t Scott’s and my son at all."

Cable said, "I am not your son, but I really am Cyclops’ son."

"Huh?"

Jean froze, then flew into a rage. Cyclops, you scumbag! You had a child with another woman behind my back? Cable hesitated, then explained, "It’s complicated. My mother was your clone. As for the details, I cannot say more. It would affect the future."

"My clone?"

Jean was utterly stunned. Did a clone’s son count as her son? Wait, why would anyone clone her?

After thinking for a moment, Jean said, "We can talk about that later. Why are you attacking the Recycling Plant? Bert Wang is a good person. My son should not be a bad person."

"I want to kill Fire Fist. In the future, he will burn my daughter to death. I have to kill him."

Cable said, "Phoenix, do not stop me. Otherwise, even you will receive no mercy from me."

After saying that, Cable used his ability to cut off Jean’s telepathic communication. Jean was startled. "Phoenix? Is he talking about me?"

Thinking of something, Jean suddenly smiled. "What a disobedient child. It looks like I’ll have to teach him a lesson first."

While Cable and Jean were speaking, the battle inside the Recycling Plant grew increasingly fierce. Bullets flew everywhere, and Wrath, pushing through the laser, was already close to Cyclops.

Just then, Vomiting Boy used his ability on Wrath. Even Wrath could not withstand the power of vomiting. He bent over and vomited violently. Cyclops seized the chance and blasted Wrath away.

Wrath’s defense was strong, but Cyclops’ lasers were no joke either. A huge wound was burned into Wrath’s waist, and he rolled across the ground again and again.

Once Wrath stopped, Wolverine pounced on him. Six blades stabbed viciously into Wrath’s chest.

Wrath let out a pained roar, suddenly wrapped both arms around Wolverine, and squeezed with all his strength. Wolverine screamed as his ribs snapped one after another.

"Wow, is this the move the BOSS once mentioned? The embrace-and-crush kill?"

Wade turned and saw the scene, exclaiming in amazement. Storm was not in the mood to joke like Wade. She barely climbed up from the ground, spread her hands, and fired two bolts of lightning at Wrath. Wrath was blasted away, and Wolverine fell from his arms onto the ground, completely devoid of breath.

A moment later, Wolverine, who seemed dead, suddenly opened his mouth and gasped for air. Just now, he had died once.

"I’ve really never died like that before."

Wolverine reset his ribs as he climbed to his feet. At the same time, Wrath also rose from the ground. What was despairing was that the wounds in his chest and waist had all healed.

His healing ability was actually no weaker than Wolverine’s.

Storm shouted in shock, "Strength greater than Juggernaut’s and healing even more terrifying than Wolverine’s. How are we supposed to fight this?"

"If we team up, we may not lose to him. Logan, next time, try cutting off his head."

As Cyclops shouted, he fired another laser at Wrath. Wrath raised his hand to block it, then grabbed a stone beside him and hurled it at Cyclops with all his strength. It was as fast as a meteor.

Cyclops was shocked, but had no time to dodge. Just then, a figure rushed over and knocked him to the ground. It was Juggernaut, covered in blood.

"I’m definitely going to kill him."

Juggernaut climbed to his feet and shouted through gritted teeth. He had never suffered such a huge loss before.

"You all deserve to die."

Seeing that Juggernaut and Cyclops were both still alive, Wrath grew even angrier and charged toward them with thunderous steps. Just then, the soil ahead of him suddenly softened. His massive foot sank into it, and he crashed to the ground with a boom, kicking up clouds of dust.

Tunneling Guard had made his move.

Wolverine pounced at Wrath once more, but this time Wrath was prepared. He swung a backhand punch and blasted Wolverine away.

Cyclops did not waste the opportunity. His laser slammed fiercely into Wrath’s head, while Storm struck him with lightning again.

Wrath howled in pain. He grabbed two clumps of dirt from the ground and hurled them at Storm and Cyclops with all his strength. The two hurriedly dodged. Wrath took the chance to get up, and Vomiting Boy immediately used his ability on him again.

Wrath was strong, but Cyclops and the others were not weak either. The two sides traded blows as the battle grew more intense, nearly tearing the Recycling Plant apart.

"I underestimated the mutants’ strength."

Seeing that Wrath had failed to break through, Greed was somewhat surprised. After thinking for a moment, he dug out the eye on his left and threw it into the sky.

Every eye on Greed’s body had a special purpose. His left eye could create illusions. The moment all the guards saw it, their minds immediately became muddled.

When they recovered their senses, they discovered countless demons in the distance, surging toward the Recycling Plant like a tidal wave.

"My God, is Hell invading?"

The guards were scared out of their wits and fired desperately into the distance. Unfortunately, it was all an illusion. There was nothing there.

With no one suppressing them, the believers immediately fired at the guards on the walls. The guards were hit one after another and fell, but fortunately, Life Mutant was doing everything he could to maintain everyone’s lives, so no guards died.

Life Mutant’s ability was Life Link. Unless everyone connected was killed at the same time, none of them would die. At worst, they would be on the verge of death.

"Under the power of My God, you are destined to die."

Greed laughed loudly. Just then, a bullet struck the center of his forehead, leaving a bloody hole.

Astonishingly, Greed did not fall. He turned to Wade, who had fired the shot, and said, "Nice aim. Unfortunately, you can’t kill me. Huh? Wait, why weren’t you affected by my illusion?"

As Greed spoke, the bloody hole in his forehead healed at an astonishing speed. Wade could not help cursing, "Damn it, another healing ability? Is this power really that common?"

In fact, Greed was not using a healing ability. He was using the Substitute Death Eye. The damage caused by that bullet had been borne by one of his eyes.

Naturally, Greed did not explain. He controlled more than a dozen eyes to fire beams at Wade at once. Wade hurriedly ducked his head behind the wall, then hesitated and placed his hand on his bracelet.

"I am Deadpool, and in the name of the moon, I will punish you!"

Wade shouted quietly, but nothing happened. He froze, then gritted his teeth and shouted loudly, "I am Deadpool, and in the name of the moon, I will punish you!"

Everyone stared at Deadpool in astonishment. Wasn’t it a little disgusting for a grown man to say something like that? Just then, Black Light shone from Wade’s body. When it faded, bald, eyebrowless Deadpool appeared. It was worth mentioning that his mouth had been unsealed, meaning chatterbox Wade could speak again.

"The BOSS has way too much bad taste. This time, I’m definitely making him raise my salary."

Wade cursed, stood up, and fired red beams from his eyes at the illusion eye in the sky. The illusion eye instantly exploded, and all the guards returned to normal.

"They actually used such underhanded tricks? Kill them!"

Doppelganger was furious. He created a hundred duplicates, each carrying a submachine gun, and charged up to the defensive line. Not only the enemy, but even their own side was dumbfounded. Doppelganger’s ability was simply insane. One person was like an entire army.

"That Doppelganger is troublesome. We have to deal with him, or those freaks won’t be able to take the Recycling Plant."

Cable hesitated, then put away his sniper rifle and rushed toward the Recycling Plant—he intended to sneak inside and eliminate Doppelganger and that damned Fire Fist.

"Doppelganger, well done. Once this battle is over, I’ll set you free immediately."

Wade was very pleased with Doppelganger’s performance. He suddenly appeared behind a believer and stabbed a sword into his back, finishing him off.

Before anyone else could react, Wade used Teleportation to appear behind another believer and swung his sword, cutting off the man’s head.

Greed’s expression turned somewhat ugly. He removed his right eye and tossed it into the air. The right eye suddenly vanished, and the surrounding space was immediately sealed. Deadpool could no longer teleport. He snorted, his eyes glowing red as he fired fiercely at Greed.

Greed threw out two eyes, which absorbed all the red light. Seeing this, Wade stopped attacking. Greed pointed a finger, and the two eyes fired red lasers at Wade simultaneously.

"Damn, they absorb energy?"

Wade hurriedly raised his two swords to block the red light. Under the lasers, the Adamantium Swords quickly turned red. Once the lasers vanished, Wade roared and charged rapidly toward Greed.

Greed threw a pile of eyes at Wade. They were Parasitic Eyes, capable of attaching themselves to others and draining their life force.

Wade activated his high-speed reflexes and swung his swords rapidly, cutting every eye apart without missing a single one.

"I can even cut open bullets. What are a few lousy eyes?"

Wade sneered and continued charging at Greed. Greed cursed and controlled more than a dozen eyes to fire beams at Wade simultaneously.

Wade dodged with extreme agility and soon reached Greed. His reddened sword slashed down diagonally, instantly cutting Greed in two.

Rather than rejoicing, Wade was alarmed. The next moment, Greed’s two halves vanished. Then a huge eye appeared on the ground and transformed into a Space Cage, trapping Wade inside.
