Yi Yi Moves Bricks, Su Yu Works

Tushan Yaya jolted in fright and immediately nodded.

After Tu Shan Hong Hong finished speaking, she left. Tushan Yaya immediately drooped in despair. The thought of building a wall made her want to die…

Su Yu smiled as he looked at Tushan Yaya. "Yaya, let’s see if you still dare to randomly test things in the future."

Tushan Yaya glared at Su Yu indignantly. "Uncle Yu, it’s all your fault! If you hadn’t given me that water, how could I have blown up the wall? At most, I would’ve only punched a hole in it!"

"What does that have to do with me? You were the one who tried it before even listening to me explain what the water did. You can only blame yourself!" Su Yu said with a smile, waving his hand.

"Hmph!" Tushan Yaya snorted with her hands on her hips.

Su Yu smiled. "Alright, alright. It’s only building a wall. Don’t act like it’s going to kill you. Oh, right, the water I gave you earlier is called Primordial Void Water. It has a powerful devouring property, and whatever it devours is converted into spiritual power within your body. But don’t use this thing recklessly. If you cause trouble, be careful Hong Yatou doesn’t whip you!"

Tushan Yaya nodded. "Oh."

Suddenly, Tushan Yaya seemed to think of something, and her eyes narrowed into smiling crescents. Su Yu saw through her at once and continued, "And don’t even think about using it to increase your strength. It’s useless! That spiritual power is only temporary. If you don’t use it, it’ll dissipate very quickly."

"Tch, I thought it was something amazing. It’s only this much," Tushan Yaya said, curling her lips.

Su Yu rolled his eyes at Tushan Yaya. "If you dislike it, I can pull it out of you right now."

Upon hearing that, Tushan Yaya immediately turned and ran. "No way! I want it!"

In the blink of an eye, Tushan Yaya had vanished in a puff of dust.

The next day

Su Yu and Su Yiyi arrived at the place she had burned down. Reconstruction had already begun. When the owner saw Su Yu bringing Su Yiyi over, she immediately came before them and asked in confusion, "Uncle Yu, why have you and Miss Yi Yi come?"

Since Tu Shan Hong Hong and her two sisters all called Su Yu Uncle Yu, all the fox demons of Tushan had begun calling him Uncle Yu as well. Su Yiyi had thus become their Miss Yi Yi.

Su Yu explained, "Didn’t Yi Yi burn down your home? So I’m punishing her by making her come help."

Su Yiyi gave a soft acknowledgment and nodded. "Big Sister, Yi Yi will help properly!"

The fox demon smiled. "Uncle Yu, there’s no need. Miss Yi Yi is still so young…"

Su Yu raised his hand to stop her. "Yi Yi isn’t that young anymore. She needs to take responsibility for herself. If she causes trouble, of course she has to make up for it. Isn’t that right, Yi Yi?"

As he spoke, Su Yu looked at Su Yiyi, who nodded vigorously.

The fox demon gave a wry smile. "Alright, then Miss Yi Yi can help pass water to the servants working at the tables."

Su Yu thought for a moment, then looked at Su Yiyi. "Yi Yi, what do you want to do, little sister?"

Su Yiyi looked at the people diligently building the house, then raised her head to look at Su Yu. "Daddy, I want to help them carry those stones."

Su Yu smiled. So she wanted to move bricks. Before he could say anything, the fox demon hurriedly protested, "That won’t do, that won’t do! Miss Hong Hong and the others instructed us not to let Miss Yi Yi come to any harm. How could we let Miss Yi Yi do work like moving bricks? Besides, Miss Yi Yi can’t even carry them. If she gets hurt, I’ll be terribly guilty."

Su Yu smiled calmly. "It’s fine. With me here, could Yi Yi possibly get hurt? Yi Yi, go ahead."

Su Yiyi immediately nodded, then jogged over. When the servants saw her running toward them, they immediately stopped what they were doing, afraid that something might accidentally fall and hit her.

Su Yiyi came before a stack of bricks, grabbed the one at the very bottom with her little hands, and directly lifted an entire vertical row of bricks.

There were neither too many nor too few bricks in that row—ten in total. Su Yiyi lifted them with both hands, and the stack rose completely above her head.

Everyone watched in stunned silence as Su Yiyi effortlessly walked into the house, set the bricks down, then ran back to carry another vertical row.

The servants carrying bricks looked at the seven or eight bricks in their own hands, fewer than what Su Yiyi carried at once, and their faces instantly flushed red.

Su Yiyi possessed innate Divine Power. Moving bricks was child’s play to her. The more she carried, the more addicted she became, and she carried more each time. Alone, she matched all the brick-carrying servants, greatly speeding up the construction.

Seeing Su Yiyi working so enthusiastically, Su Yu could not remain idle either. He directly went to help the people building the house lay bricks.

Everyone was dumbfounded. In their eyes, Su Yu had always been like a scholarly man who played the qin all day. Yet now, seeing how skillfully he laid bricks, they were utterly bewildered.

Su Yu had built houses before. He had long forgotten how many different kinds of jobs he had done. In any case, back then, as long as a job made money, he did it. It was never he who chose work; work chose him.

While Su Yu and Su Yiyi built the house here, Tushan Yaya was also building the wall with an expression like she was about to die. She did not use cement or anything else, treating the bricks entirely like building blocks.

Tu Shan Hong Hong had not expected her to build an entire wall. She merely wanted to teach her a small lesson, so she would not be so reckless in the future.

A day passed. Although Su Yu and Su Yiyi had worked all day, not a single drop of sweat could be seen on them.

That night, Su Yu and Su Yiyi sat atop the Acacia Tree to enjoy the cool air. Su Yiyi suddenly began giggling. Su Yu smiled and said, "What are you thinking about? Why are you so happy? Tell Daddy so I can be happy too."

Su Yiyi climbed onto Su Yu in one motion and looked at him. "Daddy, Yi Yi was so happy today. Building houses was so much fun. Can we play it every day from now on?"

Su Yu burst out laughing. "Haha, let’s not play that every day. Once the house is finished, Yi Yi won’t need to build houses anymore."

Su Yiyi said disappointedly, "Ah, but I still want to play. Big Monkey, Big Ox, and Big Dog aren’t here, so Yi Yi is very bored."

"Don’t you still have Hong Hong and the others to keep you company?" Su Yu said with a smile, scratching Su Yiyi’s nose.

Su Yiyi puffed out her cheeks. "But Hong Hong and the others aren’t fun. Hong Hong doesn’t like talking, Sister Yaya only likes fighting, and Sister Rongrong has to cultivate. None of them are fun."

Su Yu rubbed his chin. An idea suddenly came to mind, and he said with a smile, "Yi Yi, it’s alright. Let’s go back and rest. Daddy will give you a surprise tomorrow!"

Su Yiyi’s eyes immediately lit up at the word surprise. She nodded vigorously. "Then let’s hurry back to sleep. Yi Yi wants tomorrow to come faster!"
