A Loving Father and Dutiful Daughter, Trivial Concern, Accept It

A decisive declaration of ascension.

Before all the Asgardians, the woman standing atop the steel dragon raised her sword and challenged her father, Odin—the current King of Asgard and Lord of the Nine Realms.

It was an all-or-nothing choice.

As Odin’s biological daughter, Hela had personally cut off her own retreat, and she had done so with absolute finality.

If Odin could previously console himself by saying that Hela was still young, then once she made this declaration of forcing the throne, there was no longer any room for retreat.

He was king, the King of Asgard.

No one could challenge his authority within his kingdom.

Not even his own daughter.

The once-noisy Asgard fell silent the moment Hela made her declaration. No one dared to speak loudly again.

"No… Hela… no…"

Inside the royal hall, Frigga, the Queen of Asgard, had lost her usual grace and poise.

Hela’s rebellion struck her like a heavy hammer, leaving her reeling.

No one understood the pride buried deep in Odin’s bones better than she did.

"Hela, listen to me. Your father, he—"

"Enough, Frigga."

Frigga floated into the sky, trying to ease the unbearably tense atmosphere, but her husband beside her stopped her with a raised hand.

"I will handle this myself."

"You should go back first."

The coldness in Odin’s expression made Frigga’s heart tremble.

"Odin…"

"I said, go back."

"Now." Seeing that Frigga still wanted to say something, Odin’s ice-cold gaze fell upon his wife.

In that instant, Frigga felt as though she had fallen into an icy abyss.

"Damn it, what is she trying to do?!"

Thor, buried among the crowd, stared at his sister in the sky with gritted teeth.

Especially when he saw Hela actually raise her weapon against their father and mother, he was stunned beyond belief.

"Thor!"

"Calm down!"

"Don’t forget who your father is!"

"This unrest won’t have any effect on your Asgard. Your father is still one of the strongest beings in the universe."

Afraid Thor would do something rash, Rocket clutched tightly at the corner of his clothing.

Besides, what could Thor accomplish by charging in with the body he had let waste away for who knew how long?

Hela would probably stab him out of the sky with two swords.

Most importantly, Tony Stark had warned them that every action they took two thousand years ago could cause enormous changes to the timeline.

That was taboo!

A major taboo!

"Now, hurry and get into position at the Bifrost. That is what we should be doing."

Ever dutiful, Rocket finally managed to suppress the surging emotions in Thor’s heart.

Clang!

The instant Rocket finished speaking, the sound of clashing metal from the sky marked the beginning of the rebellion.

Standing atop the steel dragon, Hela struck first, using the abilities Odin had once taught her to attack him.

The roar of the metal torrent shook the heavens, tearing apart Asgard’s sky almost instantly!

Whoosh!

Faced with his daughter’s attack, Odin’s white robes fluttered. He did not even bother putting on armor, merely tossing Gungnir lightly.

"Odin!"

"Hela is your daughter!!!"

"You cannot do this!"

Behind Odin, Frigga’s eyes widened in fury.

The fame of Gungnir had long resounded through the Nine Realms. Its trait of never missing gave this weapon, forged from a branch of the World Tree, an extraordinary deterrent.

Ever since its birth, every strike had drawn blood!

"That is precisely why I must take responsibility for her current state."

Expressionless, Odin watched his daughter deal with Gungnir. With a sweep of his hand, terrifying energy erupted beneath Hela’s army.

Without any warning, Hela’s army, led by Kyl Mashah, was completely swallowed by the silently erupting sea of energy!

"Is that so? I do not think you can."

Dense divine power of death intertwined in Hela’s hands, transforming into black rays of death that shot straight at Gungnir, the spear said never to miss!

"What gives you the confidence to believe you can defeat me, Hela?"

Gungnir’s radiance was not buried beneath the black death rays. Its sharp tip emerged from the layers of mist.

In an instant, it pierced through Hela’s right arm!

Blood and flesh splattered, her nerves screamed in pain, yet Hela charged toward Odin as though she had not been affected at all!

"It is… hope!"

Her near-roaring voice rang out as a blade dozens of meters long flashed with icy brilliance beneath the rising sun!

The slight figure bared her teeth, unleashing the horrifying madness in her heart!

"It is hope for Asgard’s future, hope that you, Father, will return to who you once were!"

Clang!

The Great Blade struck Gungnir as it automatically returned to defend, and a visible chip appeared in the sharp blade!

"I have always remembered your teachings."

"When I was young, every time I made a mistake, you would teach me and care for me in an exceptionally strict manner."

"So…"

After the Great Blade shattered, Hela advanced rather than retreating. Her body, wrapped in a black bodysuit, stretched freely as she stepped on a fragment that had flown beneath her feet and leaped before Odin.

Smack!

A simple, unadorned straight punch drove straight in!

Clear bloody marks covered the skin cut by the fragments, yet Hela seemed completely oblivious to the pain as she punched Odin in the cheek!

"I will awaken you in my own way."

The murmur at Odin’s ear, accompanied by bright red blood, left an indelible scar upon his heart.

"Father."

Pitch-black divine power of death flickered at Hela’s fingertips. The power of the Asgardian soldiers killed by Odin’s earlier strike gathered onto Hela at astonishing speed.

Weapons densely filled the sky above Asgard, an endless stream of power replenishing Hela’s nearly drained body.

Then they surged toward Odin from every direction!

"Accept it—this trivial concern."

BOOM!!!!!

Death rays of extreme density erupted from Hela’s ten fingers. Odin, standing so close to her, was sent flying into the sky covered with weapons!

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!!!!

Merciless blades stabbed toward Odin, defenseless in midair, without the slightest hesitation.

In an instant, ten thousand weapons pierced his heart.

"No!!!!"

"Odin!!!!"

Witnessing her husband’s body being devoured by countless weapons, Frigga, known as the Vanir’s wisest sorceress, immediately began casting a spell.

"Mother, you should not do this."

Hela’s eyes had already turned scarlet. She seemed to have returned to the savage state she had been in when possessed by the Mind Stone, appearing behind Frigga in an instant.

Her cold, emotionless words were just like the weapon she swung down.

"No!"

Rumble!

A furious roar directly summoned thunderclouds above Asgard!

In a corner Hela could not see, Thor’s eyes flashed with lightning as he spun the warhammer that had somehow flown into his hand with one hand.

The next second, the warhammer descended from the heavens with the divine might of thunder!

"Thor!!! Have you lost your mind?!!!"

After cutting and revising today’s two chapters, they ultimately became one chapter. This feels awful.

Sure enough, climactic sections are the hardest to write~
