A New Plan
Fury took the pager and looked at Wang Bert with his one eye. "You’re actually giving this back to me? Aren’t you afraid I’ll call her back?"
"So what if she comes back?"
Wang Bert said calmly, "Do you think she’d be a match for me?"
Wang Bert’s words left Fury silent. To be honest, he had no confidence either. Captain Marvel was indeed powerful, but the Blood God was even stronger.
Not to mention that behind the Blood God stood an Ancient One whom even demon gods feared.
Fury took a deep breath and asked, "How long do I have to prepare?"
"One month."
Wang Bert said, "You can leave now, but don’t try anything funny. S.H.I.E.L.D. must be destroyed."
"I know."
Fury sighed and asked Wang Bert, "Blood God, let me ask one last time. Have you really never considered ruling Earth?"
"What’s the difference between now and ruling Earth? Is there anything I can’t do? Is there any woman I can’t get?"
Wang Bert sneered. "Two years ago, I still had to be wary of you people. But now, who’s qualified to make me wary?"
Everyone fell silent. With the Blood God’s current power and influence, even the military, which had always been tough, had to tread carefully around him.
Hill said somewhat unhappily, "You can’t get me."
Wang Bert said, "One hundred kilograms of Vibranium."
Hill froze, then asked, "When and where?"
Steve and Fury looked at Hill speechlessly. Couldn’t she at least pretend not to care? Hill was utterly embarrassed. He was simply offering too much.
Wang Bert stood and said, "All right, we’ve said everything that needed to be said. Fury, focus on finding out more about Thanos. That bastard is extremely dangerous."
"I know."
Fury nodded. "Also, I’ll tell Coulson the locations of all the Safe Houses on Earth."
"You definitely won’t tell him all of them."
Wang Bert smiled, then turned and left with Steve. Fury shrugged. Of course people had to keep a few trump cards hidden.
Outside, Steve was silent for a moment before saying to Wang Bert, "Bert, I want Bucky to go into space with Fury."
Wang Bert asked, "Why? Because of Tony?"
"Yeah."
Steve sighed. "Tony said he could refrain from killing Bucky, but Bucky could never appear in front of him again."
"Tony’s had it rough. If it were me, I wouldn’t care whether the other party had been controlled."
Wang Bert shook his head and asked, "Has the Winter Soldier returned to normal?"
Steve said, "He’s recovered his memories, but there’s still something wrong with his mind. The attending doctor said only Wakanda can solve the problem completely."
"Captain, you’re not as honest as the legends say."
Wang Bert smiled. "Fine, I’ll approve it. Take him to Wakanda for an examination."
"Thank you."
Steve was deeply grateful. Thinking of something, he sighed. "Once Bucky’s matter is resolved, I can focus on dealing with Hydra. I really didn’t expect there to be so many Hydras left. I won’t be retiring anytime soon."
Wang Bert asked, "Sounds like you made a major discovery?"
"We captured Sitwell, Pierce’s confidant. According to him, Hydra still has several leaders. The one who stole the Mind Scepter amid the chaos was probably one of them."
As Steve and Wang Bert talked, they walked out of the prison and found Natasha waiting at the entrance.
The moment Wang Bert emerged, Natasha stepped forward and said, "Blood God, I want the Extremis Virus. Name any condition you want."
"Natasha."
Wang Bert instantly understood what Natasha was thinking. "The Extremis Virus can indeed make up for what you’ve lost, but whether High-Temperature People can reproduce is still unknown."
"It’s fine. Tony is researching an antidote for the Extremis Virus. I’ll inject it first, then have him detoxify me. After that, I’ll become a normal woman again."
Natasha spoke excitedly. Wang Bert was speechless. What a thorough plan.
"All right, I’ll give you the Perfected Extremis Virus."
Wang Bert said, "On the condition that you help verify whether High-Temperature People can reproduce."
"Huh?"
Steve and Natasha both stared at Wang Bert with contempt written all over their faces. They hadn’t expected him to be that kind of person.
"Hey, what are those looks for? I’m just taking a little something for research."
Wang Bert said irritably, "Besides, High-Temperature People can’t even do that, can they? Once they get excited, their temperature rises, and then… ah, it’s gone."
"That actually seems right."
Steve and Natasha couldn’t help laughing. Natasha said, "Blood God, thank you."
"Don’t mention it. We were friends once, after all."
Wang Bert smiled. Natasha asked, "Aren’t we friends now?"
Wang Bert pretended to think it over before saying, "The current you seems a little beneath me."
"Get lost."
Natasha directly flipped Wang Bert off. Steve thought of something and asked Wang Bert, "Bert, if the Extremis Virus is that effective, I’d like to apply for a batch. In the battle a few days ago, many S.W.O.R.D. agents were severely wounded, some even crippled."
Wang Bert nodded. "Sure, but the Perfected Extremis Virus contains some special materials, so Tony might not be able to cure it. Ordinary Extremis Virus can easily explode. Let’s study it first."
"Okay."
Steve nodded. Natasha, however, said, "I can’t wait any longer. Inject me now. I trust Tony."
"Your call."
Wang Bert smiled, then bid farewell to the two of them and returned underground beneath Blood God Manor.
After reading through the information Wang Bert had given him, Reed asked in surprise, "You mean using clones for experiments?"
"Yes, using clones for enhancement experiments."
Wang Bert nodded. "I’ll remove their brains. They won’t have any consciousness from the very beginning."
Reed thought for a moment and agreed. "That could work, but completing this project may require a great deal of time and money."
"Money isn’t a problem. I’m the richest man on Earth. As for time, the faster, the better."
Wang Bert said, "Earth is becoming more and more dangerous."
"I feel the same way."
Reed sighed. "I’ll start the experiments as soon as possible. By the way, that Lizard Doctor…"
"I know what you mean, but he can’t be kept. His evil intelligence is far too dangerous."
"All right."
Reed felt some regret. The Lizard Doctor was a true genius. Even he had to admire Black Spider’s idea.
After dealing with this matter, Wang Bert returned to the manor. The moment Mindy saw him, she excitedly shouted, "Master, it’s game time!"
"You used to be a Super Hero. How did you turn into a gaming addict now?"
Wang Bert said irritably. Mindy dragged him toward the game room while saying, "Isn’t it because you told me to play games with Hela?"
Soon, the two arrived at the spacious game room, where Lina and Hela had already been waiting. When they saw Wang Bert enter, they immediately shouted excitedly, "Master, start the game!"
"You girls."
Wang Bert shook his head and went over to activate the holographic game. Their surroundings instantly transformed into a vast grassland that felt almost real. They could even sense the breeze and smell the grass.
"Let’s begin."
Wang Bert tapped the air, and cartoon guns appeared in Mindy and the other two girls’ hands. Then a large number of adorable monsters appeared around them, and the three immediately began happily shooting at them.
Wang Bert watched quietly. This game was a derivative of the holographic training space, and his disciples loved it.
"Hela has been smiling more lately. Looks like my plan is working."
Wang Bert smiled, picked up a gun, and joined the battle. Mindy and the other two immediately cheered. With Master helping them, they would definitely defeat that damned parrot boss.
Everything happening here fell into the eyes of the raven Huginn. It transmitted the scene back to Asgard, and Odin grew angrier the more he watched. "Didn’t he say he was going to teach Hela properly? Why is he taking her to play games every day? What’s so fun about this trash game?"
Huginn mocked, "God King, you’re really just jealous, aren’t you?"
Odin snapped, "Jealous of him? I am the mighty God King. Why would I be jealous of him?"
"Of course you would. God King, you want to play with Princess Hela too, don’t you?"
Odin immediately denied it. "Nonsense. Since when did you become so bold that you dare mock even me?"
Huginn said arrogantly, "I’m Princess Hela’s pet now, not yours. I’m not afraid of you."
"When you come back, I’ll make sure to teach you a proper lesson."
Odin said irritably, "Keep your eyes on Hela. Stop watching that bastard who’s leading my daughter astray."
"Princess Hela will protect me." Huginn chuckled and shifted the "camera" toward Little Hela.
Looking at Hela’s smiling face on the screen, Odin couldn’t help sighing. Huginn was right. He wanted to play with Hela. He had not seen Hela like this in thousands of years.
"I wronged you. I shouldn’t have made you inherit the position of God of Death, and I especially shouldn’t have trained you so harshly and made you help me conquer the world."
Perhaps he was getting old, but Odin had become increasingly sentimental. At that moment, footsteps sounded outside, and Odin hurriedly dismissed the light screen.
Queen of Asgard Frigga pushed open the door and walked in. Looking at Odin, she asked in confusion, "Odin, why have you been hiding in the study every day lately?"
"What do you mean, hiding? I’m reading."
"Really?"
Frigga looked skeptical. Then she noticed that Odin’s eyes seemed a little red, which made her even more astonished. What exactly was this old fellow up to? Odin hurriedly changed the subject. "Of course it’s true. By the way, what did you come to see me about?"
Frigga said, "I wanted to talk to you about Thor’s girlfriend, Jane. She’s a good girl. You shouldn’t be so cold toward her."
"How many years can she live? Thor can take one trip, and by the time he returns, she’ll have died of old age."
Odin said, "I don’t agree with Thor being with her. Not driving her away is already my greatest concession."
Frigga tried to persuade him for a while, but Odin would not budge. In the end, she could only leave helplessly.
The moment the door closed, Odin immediately resumed watching the live stream. Looking at Hela’s happy expression, he couldn’t help letting out the foolish grin of an old father. Hearing it, Frigga froze for a moment, then shook her head. It had to be an illusion. How could the God King possibly smile so foolishly?
Only Thor smiled that foolishly.
At Blood God Manor, after one game, Mindy and the other two girls were exhausted. Wang Bert shut off the holographic projection and said, "Mindy, Lina, go to school tomorrow and ask for leave. I’ll take you around the world."
"Really?"
Mindy was overjoyed. She had long since stopped wanting to go to school. Lina, on the other hand, asked blankly, "Will there be delicious food on a trip around the world?"
"Of course. I guarantee you won’t be able to stop eating."
Lina said excitedly, "That’s great. I’m going."
Little Hela looked at Wang Bert hopefully. She clearly wanted to go too, but when Wang Bert looked at her, she immediately looked away and pretended not to care.
Wang Bert said, "Hela, you’re coming too. I can teach you history on location."
"All right, I’ll come too."
Little Hela put on a reluctant expression, making both Odin and Wang Bert want to laugh.
Traveling around the world was not a sudden idea Wang Bert had come up with. He had been planning it ever since he learned how to open spatial portals.
To open a spatial portal, one had to know the destination fairly well. Wang Bert intended to travel all over the world, so that in the future, he could open a portal directly whenever he wanted to go to any country.
On the other hand, it was time to deal with those self-righteous Vampires in Europa.
The Blood God was not only the god of the North American Blood Clan, but the god of the entire Blood Clan.
At Osborn Corporation Tower, Wang Bert instructed Mercury and Blade, "You two will go to Europe first. Mercury, acquire European hospitals. Buy as many as you can, then control the blood supply and keep it out of Vampire hands.
"Blade, take people to Europe and establish a Blood Clan Police Department."
Mercury said, "Without blood to drink, those Vampires will rebel."
Wang Bert said calmly, "How would they have no blood to drink? As long as they register with the Blood Clan Police Department, they’ll be able to buy cheap, tasty Hope Blood."
"Bert, you’re cutting them off at the source?"
Blade laughed. "Those Vampires won’t just sit there and wait to die. They’ll definitely fight back."
"Then let them fight back. Kill however many come. I’ll equip you with the best weapons."
Wang Bert said coldly, "Once the opposition has been eliminated, everyone left will naturally obey."
"I like that."
Blade grinned, his full set of white teeth dazzlingly bright.
"This time, we aren’t going over to negotiate. We’re going to conquer. Those Vampires have only one path: follow my rules and stop drinking the blood of living humans."
Wang Bert said, "You go over first. I’ll join you after a while."
"No problem. I’ll kill every Blood Clan member who dares cause trouble."
Blade said. As always, the only thing he was truly good at was killing Vampires.
"Mm. Take enough forces with you. Don’t get caught off guard."
Wang Bert said, "Also, Grand Duke Damaskinos has been researching Vampire genes all this time. Be especially careful when dealing with him. Don’t let him set you up."
"Understood."
Blade and Mercury both nodded. After thinking for a moment, Mercury asked, "Will there be any problems with the European governments?"
"No. They all support what I’m doing."
Wang Bert said, "They’ve long been dissatisfied with the chaos caused by the European Blood Clan."
Mercury nodded. "That’s good."
"In short, don’t hold back. Turn Europe into another North America as quickly as possible."
"Understood. Heh, the Vampires who fled to Europe are probably going to be desperate."
Blade laughed. "They’ve barely had a few peaceful days, and we’re already marching into Europe."
Wang Bert smiled. "They can keep running, then keep despairing."
"Looks like you’re finally going to live up to the name Blood God."
Blade stood and said, "I’ll go make preparations and leave as soon as possible. By the way, is my Pure Vibranium Battle Blade finished yet?"
