Absorbing Man

"This feels incredible. No restraints, I can do whatever I want!"

Tony Stark’s eyes turned blue as he said excitedly, "I’m going to destroy all the suits. There only needs to be one Iron Man in this world. The rest can go die. With so many suits around, how am I supposed to keep my style?"

Coulson quipped, "Tony, there’s no style at all in that sentence!"

"I like that sentence."

Loki laughed heartily. He turned Rumlow into a puppet as well, then said, "Go put on the suits and destroy this place to your hearts’ content. I want this Helicarrier to crash!"

Tony and Rumlow shouted excitedly at the same time, "No problem!"

After the two left, Coulson asked Loki, "Are we leaving now?"

Loki shook his head. "Not yet. The show is only beginning. I’m waiting here for someone. Go wait for me on the jet first!"

"Okay!"

Coulson nodded and left. On the way, he took out his phone and ordered, "You can move now. Kidnap that little girl!"

After saying that, Coulson put down his phone, his face full of excitement. He liked who he was now!…

In the lower levels, Natasha’s foot was pinned beneath an iron pipe, and she was struggling desperately to free herself. Just then, a huge sound of labored breathing suddenly came from nearby. Her heart jumped, and she whirled around to see Dr. Banner painfully holding something back! Natasha hurriedly shouted, "Dr. Banner, use the Controller to control yourself!"

"I can’t. Bert’s blood suddenly stopped working."

Dr. Banner shouted, "Natasha, Hulk will be coming out soon. Go find Betty!"

"Dr. Banner, don’t let him come out!"

Natasha was horrified, but before she could finish speaking, Dr. Banner transformed into Hulk and roared at the sky!

Natasha’s face drained of color as she tried with all her strength to pull her foot free, but she could not manage it. Then Hulk walked over and, under her terrified gaze, lifted the iron pipe away!

"Bad woman. Hulk doesn’t like you!"

Hulk snorted at Natasha, then charged forward like a savage beast, smashing through pipes all the way! Natasha stared at his retreating back in disbelief. He had not hurt her? Could it be because she was pretty? I should find Betty first. She’s the only one who can control that big guy!

Natasha hurriedly climbed to her feet and ran toward the living quarters. At the same time, the running Hulk was sent flying by Thor, and the two crashed into the aircraft storage area together!

Thor did not know Hulk and assumed he was an enemy, which was why he had rammed into him. Anyone else would have explained, but Hulk clearly had no such intention. With thunderous steps, he charged at Thor!

"Big guy, let me play with you!"

Thor grinned and began a fierce battle with Hulk in the aircraft area. The surrounding planes had terrible luck, being destroyed one after another by the two of them!

While Thor fought Hulk, Steve led Danny Rand to the area where Engine Three was located. A group of mercenaries there were firing wildly! Just as Steve was about to give an order, Danny rushed out on his own and began fighting the mercenaries. Steve shook his head and hurled his shield at a bald, burly man!

To Steve’s surprise, the bald man caught his shield. Even more astonishingly, the man’s body rapidly turned metallic. In just a few breaths, he became a metal man made entirely of Vibranium!

"Coulson said you would definitely come here and told me to wait for you. And you really came!"

The bald man tossed aside the shield and laughed loudly. "Now that I have a Vibranium body, who can stand against me, Carl Creel?"

Carl Creel, the Absorbing Man, could transform his body into any substance he touched. He had been imprisoned by S.H.I.E.L.D. all along, but Coulson had secretly rescued him and turned him into a puppet to serve him!

"A Vibranium body? That joke isn’t funny at all!"

Steve shook his head repeatedly. He was increasingly nostalgic for the old days!

"Vibranium? Let Iron Fist see how hard you really are!"

Danny shouted, his fist turning golden as he slammed it viciously into Absorbing Man. With a clang, Absorbing Man did not move an inch, while Danny felt as if his fist were about to shatter! "Iron Fist? The name doesn’t live up to the reputation!"

Absorbing Man sneered and punched Danny in the chest. Danny flew away like a kite with its string cut, crashing to the ground and unable to get up for a long time! Absorbing Man walked over, intending to finish Danny off. Steve knocked down a mercenary, grabbed a gun, and sprayed him with bullets, but every bullet ricocheted off the Vibranium body!

"If you want to die, I’ll grant your wish!"

Absorbing Man turned and charged at Steve. Steve lightly tapped the watch on his wrist, and with a bang, a missile exploded against Absorbing Man, blasting him away! Immediately afterward, a Glider flew over from the distance and stopped beneath Steve’s feet.

Danny struggled to his feet and asked in astonishment, "Captain, you actually have an Osborn Corporation Glider?"

"My girlfriend gave it to me."

Steve chuckled, leaping onto the Glider to fight the rising Absorbing Man—missiles were nothing to someone with a Vibranium body! While Steve fought Absorbing Man, Ivan was battling Iron Man and Peacemaker in the air. Ivan cursed, "Tony Stark, not only are you a traitor, you’re also a coward who gangs up on people."

"Ivan Vanko, I’ve wanted to beat you up for a long time. America only needs one genius, and that’s me, Tony Stark!"

Tony shouted as he launched a missile at Ivan. Ivan cracked his whip, detonating the missile, then shouted, "That’s right, America only needs one genius. But it isn’t you. It’s me!"

Peacemaker said nothing as he crazily sprayed Ivan with a machine gun from the side. Ivan was furious, but with Tony keeping him occupied, he had no way to fight back!

"Nick Fury, why aren’t you shutting down Peacemaker?"

Ivan shouted. Peacemaker could be remotely shut down, a function Nick Fury had specifically demanded! "I tried. It doesn’t work!"

Director Fury shouted. Tony Stark burst out laughing. "Wondering why the remote shutdown doesn’t work? Because I removed that function. Ivan Vanko, your design is garbage!"

Ivan flew into a rage. "Go die!"

Just then, a black armored suit flew over, firing a light machine gun at Peacemaker. Peacemaker hurriedly dodged!

Natasha shouted, "Rumlow, sorry, but I’m going to beat you up!"

S.H.I.E.L.D. had ordered a total of two suits from Osborn Corporation. Natasha’s was called Black Widow and had been made specifically for her!

"Natasha! Let’s see who beats up whom!"

Rumlow fired a missile at Natasha. Natasha nimbly dodged it, tossed aside her light machine gun, then swiftly rushed to Rumlow’s side and drove a dagger viciously into his right wrist joint.

Black Widow’s suit was somewhat similar to Mercury’s, both being agile close-combat types! The difference was that Natasha did not have a Vibranium dagger!

With Rumlow gone, Ivan could finally face Tony one-on-one. He swung his whip and shouted excitedly, "Tony Stark, I can finally kill you openly and fairly!"

"Me too!"

Tony gave a savage grin, and six miniature missiles on his shoulders flew toward Ivan at once!

Watching the armored battle outside, Director Fury’s expression was extremely grim. He shouted, "Hill, can Engine Three be repaired?"

"I don’t know. No one can get near that area right now."

Hill shook her head. Just then, Daredevil heard something and hurriedly tackled Director Fury to the ground. The next moment, a group of mercenaries rushed in and sprayed the command room with bullets! Hawkeye was among them. He drew his bow and shot a special device containing a computer virus into a computer port.

The special device activated quickly, and the computer screens went black one after another. Worse still, Engine One was shut down as well. The Helicarrier shook violently and began falling toward the ground!

"Barton!"

Director Fury was both shocked and enraged. He fired at Hawkeye while shouting, "Hill, save the system now!"

Hill risked herself to operate the computer, then shouted helplessly, "No, I can’t fix it. We need Tony or Ivan!"

"Damn it! Deal with Hawkeye and the others first!"

Director Fury shouted. Daredevil immediately charged at Hawkeye, and the two soon began fighting.

At the same time, Betty arrived in the aircraft area. Looking at Hulk, who was fiercely battling Thor, she shouted unhappily, "Hulk, what are you doing?"

Hulk was holding a plane wing and preparing to smash it down when he heard Betty’s voice. He immediately threw the wing away, then looked ingratiatingly at the approaching Betty!

Thor flipped to his feet and shouted at Betty with his hammer in hand, "Ma’am, he’s dangerous!"

"He may be dangerous to others, but he is not dangerous to me at all!"

Betty shook her head and said to Hulk, "Sit!"

Hulk obediently sat down. Thor’s eyes nearly popped out of his head. Was this really the berserk monster from just now?

Betty questioned him, "Why were you fighting?"

"Didn’t fight!"

Hulk pointed at Thor indignantly. "He hit Hulk. Hulk hit back!"

Betty turned toward Thor in displeasure. "Hmm?"

Thor was utterly dumbfounded. You thick-browed, big-eyed guy, how could you twist the truth and tattle on me? But on second thought, it did seem like he had attacked first! That was awkward. Thor chuckled and said, "I’ll go check on Loki. He may be trying to escape!"

After saying that, Thor immediately slipped away. Betty could not help shaking her head. She took out her phone and called Hill. "Hill, Hulk can deploy at any time!"

Hill hurriedly said, "Great! Send him to deal with Absorbing Man and his Vibranium body!"

"Okay!"

Betty nodded and instructed Hulk, "Hulk, go deal with that Absorbing Man who looks like metal."

"Okay!"

Hulk did not waste words and charged out immediately. To him, as long as there was a fight to be had, that was enough. Who his opponent was did not matter.

"This Helicarrier is too dangerous. I shouldn’t come aboard next time."

Betty shook her head and activated her wristwatch. Two Gliders flew toward her. One belonged to Banner, while the other was a benefit Osborn Corporation had given her! "Hulk deploy!"

When he reached the deck, Hulk roared and charged ferociously at Absorbing Man’s Vibranium body. Absorbing Man had no time to dodge and was sent flying by Hulk, nearly falling off the Helicarrier! Seeing that Absorbing Man had not fallen, Hulk immediately rushed over to continue attacking. Captain America was about to go help when Hill’s anxious voice came through the communicator. "Captain, hurry and replace Ivan! I need Ivan back to deal with the virus. The Helicarrier keeps falling!"

"Okay!"

Steve did not dare delay and immediately flew toward Tony. Danny sighed and honestly dealt with the mercenaries. Who could blame him for not being able to fly or having a rich girlfriend?

When he reached Ivan and Tony’s battlefield, Steve did not waste words. He immediately activated his machine gun and sprayed Iron Man with bullets. Ivan was somewhat displeased and was about to tell Steve to leave when Hill said, "Ivan, come back and deal with the virus now! The Helicarrier is about to crash!"

"I told you this piece of junk wasn’t reliable!"

Ivan cursed and flew toward the command room. Tony tried to pursue him, but Steve blocked him. Tony snapped, "Antique, do you want to die?"

Steve was a little angry too. "Rude punk, I’ll teach you a lesson for Howard!"

"Just you?"

Tony attacked Steve directly, and the two began a fierce battle in the air!

At the same time, Ivan returned to the command room. As he stepped out of his suit, he said, "Give me a computer, and give me the password. There’s no time to crack it!"

Hill immediately came over to cooperate. "Right away!"

Seeing Ivan arrive, Director Fury breathed a sigh of relief. He went over to join Daredevil in dealing with Hawkeye. Before long, Hawkeye was knocked to the ground.

Hawkeye, who had taken a heavy punch to the head, gradually regained consciousness. He was about to say something when Director Fury kicked him unconscious again.

"Everyone, put on life jackets and prepare for the fall! Also, all pilots, get in the planes. Save as many supplies and people as you can."

Director Fury gave the order loudly. Fortunately, there was ocean below. Otherwise, things would have been much worse.

"Okay!"

Everyone began making preparations. At the same time, Thor was, unsurprisingly, tricked by Loki into a cage. Then, under Thor’s disappointed and pained gaze, Loki pressed a button. The cage detached from the Helicarrier and fell downward!

"Why are you so heartbroken? It’s not like you’ll die."

Loki rolled his eyes and went to meet Coulson. He had done everything he needed to do. It was time to leave.

Inside the Quinjet, when Loki boarded, Coulson said through the communicator, "Tony, Rumlow, prepare to escort us out."

"Okay!"

Tony and Rumlow answered at the same time. Loki asked Coulson, "Has that guy returned to New York?"

Coulson said, "No, he’s still in California. Even if he leaves now, he won’t make it back for another two hours."

"Very good. Let’s go!"

Loki nodded in satisfaction. As for Hawkeye and his other subordinates still aboard the Helicarrier, he did not care at all. They were only puppets he had acquired anyway! "Alright, take off!"

Coulson shouted at the pilot, who immediately started the aircraft.

Just then, a huge green hand suddenly grabbed the plane. The aircraft shook violently, and Coulson involuntarily fell toward the still-closed cabin door!

"Hulk!"

Hulk roared, trying to pull the plane down by himself. As for Absorbing Man, Hulk had already thrown him into the sea! "Beast!"

Loki snorted coldly and raised the Mind Scepter toward Hulk. The next moment, an energy wave slammed into Hulk’s wrist. Hulk cried out in pain and let go, and the Quinjet shot into the sky!

"Loki!"

Coulson shouted from the ground, but what greeted him was Loki’s icy gaze!

"I’ve wanted to kill you, you bastard, for a long time!"

Loki sneered. You keep mocking my hairline every day. What did my hairline ever do to you? Besides, you have no use to me anymore!
