Adam’s Birth
"I’ll go alone. I can Teleport. Once I push it somewhere uninhabited, I’ll come right back."
Hearing Dr. Banner’s words, Carol said, "Are you looking down on me? Lightning flows through my body. I’m faster than your Teleportation."
Carol sneered. "Isn’t it recklessness and bragging that flow through your body?"
"What did you say?"
Thor flew into a rage. Dr. Banner said irritably, "The two of you go together…"
Just then, a space gate crackling with electrical sparks appeared in the sky and rapidly expanded. Then Wang Bert’s voice rang out. "Carol, push the engine room inside."
This portal had been opened by the clone Wang Bert controlled within Crystal’s body—Crystal had remained on Sovereign, and Wang Bert had prepared a trump card on her.
"Yes, Master."
Carol was overjoyed and immediately pushed the engine room toward the space gate. With Master making a move, there was no way anything could go wrong.
"Bert, that’s your disciple?"
Thor was quite surprised. Bert’s disciple was actually this powerful?
Wang Bert said, "That’s right, my disciple. Thor, thanks for coming to help. I’ll buy you a drink later."
Thor said smugly, "No need to be polite. It’s what I should do. But you need to tell your disciple to show me more respect. I’m her elder."
Carol pushed the engine room into the space gate, then turned and sneered at Thor. "I love beating up elders most. Want to try?"
Thor raised his hammer and shouted angrily, "You think I’m afraid of you?"
"A battle is about to begin on my side. Handle the aftermath of the Sovereign battle yourselves. If possible, persuade more prisoners to surrender. I destroyed the Supreme Intelligence. The Kree Empire will soon fall into massive turmoil."
Wang Bert gave them a hurried instruction, closed the space gate, and returned his consciousness to Hell.
The great war in Hell was about to erupt.
"You destroyed the Supreme Intelligence?"
Carol, the Guardians of the Galaxy, and the others, who had not known Wang Bert’s plan, stared in dumbfounded shock. Star-Lord could not help asking, "Hey, man, are you sure you’re not bragging?"
It was not that Star-Lord did not trust the Blood God. It was simply too unbelievable.
"You think the Blood God brags all day like you do? No wonder dismantling the engine room went so smoothly. So the Supreme Intelligence had been destroyed."
Gamora sighed. "The Blood God is truly too powerful. He could even pull off something like this."
"Not just powerful—he’s brutal. Is that guy even human? He actually went to the Kree homeworld to destroy the Supreme Intelligence, and he succeeded?"
Even someone as audacious as Rocket could not help swallowing. The Blood God was utterly insane.
Rocket was not the only one who thought so. When the Skrull Empire, the Shi’ar Empire, and the other major powers received the news, they too were stunned and hurriedly recalled their troops at top speed.
They were indeed interested in the two god-level cocoons, but they did not want to die. Earthlings were far too brutal. They had even killed the Supreme Intelligence.
The Supreme Intelligence was the Kree Empire’s supreme ruler.
The leaders of the major powers hurriedly transferred troops to their homeworlds and protected themselves tightly. Earthlings’ assassination methods were too terrifying. Until they found a way to defend against them, they would never dare move against Earthlings again.
While withdrawing their troops, the major powers all turned their attention to the Kree Empire. Everyone knew that the Kree Empire would soon descend into massive turmoil, and there were enormous benefits to be gained from it.
The Kree Empire’s mortal enemy, the Skrull Empire, was especially eager for action, preparing to deal the Kree Empire a vicious blow and perhaps even wipe out this old foe forever.
In short, the Kree Empire had suffered a crushing defeat this time. At the same time, the Council of Elders of the Universe’s plan to kill with a borrowed knife had essentially gone bankrupt.
In the former Mephisto Hell, Wang Bert patted Grandmaster on the shoulder and said, "Sorry, I won. Please honor your promise."
Grandmaster turned to look at Wang Bert with an expression as if he had seen a ghost. Just how brutal were you? You actually went and took out the Supreme Intelligence?
Honestly, Grandmaster was now immensely grateful that he belonged to the Council of Elders of the Universe. Otherwise, the Blood God would probably have killed him long ago.
This guy was insane to the extreme.
Grandmaster gritted his teeth. "Blood God, I lost this bet, but I can’t fulfill my promise. I simply can’t accomplish your condition. Change it to something else."
Wang Bert’s face darkened. "You dared agree to it when you couldn’t fulfill it?"
"I thought I was guaranteed to win. How was I supposed to know you were so brutal, so terrifying?"
Grandmaster shouted. As an old gambling addict, was it not perfectly natural to agree to a bet he could not fulfill? A gambler only cared whether there was a bet to make. Who cared about anything else?
"Grandmaster, do you know what consequences your breach of faith will bring this time?"
Wang Bert said coldly, "The Elders of the Universe have a major wager with me. If you break your word, that means the Elders of the Universe cannot be trusted. In other words, that major wager will become completely meaningless."
Grandmaster froze, then understood. "You want me to ask them for help?"
"No, I want you to fulfill your promise."
Wang Bert said, "All the major powers in the Entire Universe know about this bet. If the Elders of the Universe break their word, will anyone trust you again in the future?"
"Of course the Elders of the Universe will not break our word, nor can we."
Grandmaster completely understood Wang Bert’s meaning and immediately replied. Wang Bert said in satisfaction, "You’re teachable."
"Teachable my ass. This time, you really screwed me over."
Grandmaster sighed, cursing as he contacted the other Elders of the Universe.
Wang Bert snorted. "Since you took part in the wager, you should have been prepared to lose. Not only will the Elders of the Universe lose this time, you will lose the previous wager as well."
"You should worry about surviving first. Even with our help, you will most likely meet a grim fate this time."
Grandmaster said, "Your greatest mistake was entering Hell in person."
"Since I dared come, I naturally have confidence that I can leave alive."
Wang Bert snorted. Just then, a series of cracking sounds came from nearby. Everyone turned and saw cracks spreading across the golden cocoon.
The new Demon King of Hell was about to be born. Everyone focused their eyes on the cocoon as Hell frantically poured energy into it, helping him complete his final transformation.
Crack, crack, crack… More and more fractures appeared across the cocoon, spreading like a spiderweb. Before long, the cocoon suddenly exploded, and a golden figure appeared before everyone.
The golden figure was over two meters tall, with brilliant golden hair, a face sculpted by the gods, and an imposing suit of battle armor. He was as handsome as could be—the Succubus Lord was practically drooling.
The Artificial God, Wang Bert’s Demon King Clone, Adam, had officially been born.
All of Mephisto… no, all of Adam Hell shook. Countless demons cheered in this direction. Adam Hell’s new master had been born.
The Hell Lords were also excited, looking as though they were sharpening their blades. Soon, they would be able to enter Adam Hell.
At that moment, Adam raised his hand. Everyone watched curiously to see what he intended to do. He tapped the air before him, and a light screen appeared out of nowhere, reflecting his image like a Mirror.
Adam tilted his head and looked himself over from side to side, then said narcissistically, "Wow, how can anyone be this handsome? What am I supposed to do from now on? Every day, I’m going to wake up because I’m too handsome."
The scene fell deathly silent. Wang Bert could not help covering his face. He absolutely could not let anyone know this guy was his clone. It was far too embarrassing.
What was wrong with this guy? Why was he so narcissistic? So what if he was handsome?
"Something created by the Sovereign really does have the same nature as them."
Grandmaster’s eyes shifted as he asked, "Adam, whose side are you on?"
"New Demon King, you are a Hell Lord. You should stand with us."
Lucifer immediately said, "You don’t need to worry about the Blood God. We’ll help you deal with him."
"That’s right, handsome. Join us. Whatever you want, I can cooperate with you."
The Succubus Lord called out. She had never seen such a handsome man before. Even she was tempted.
"You’re a several-thousand-year-old granny, yet you have the nerve to make a move on fresh meat like me, who was just born?"
Adam looked at the Succubus Lord with utter disdain. Everyone burst into laughter, while the Succubus Lord’s face turned bright red with anger. Why was this guy as detestable as the Blood God?
"Good one, brother."
Wang Bert patted Adam on the shoulder and laughed. "By the way, can you censor your face? Every time I see it, I really want to punch you."
"You’re jealous."
Adam sneered, then said to Wang Bert through their shared consciousness, "The connection between us can’t be severed. Hell’s consciousness and negative emotions are constantly eroding me. The god-and-demon system really is troublesome. It’s easy to lose oneself."
"Hell naturally would not make a losing deal."
Wang Bert said, "Don’t worry. You are my clone, and our consciousnesses are linked. As long as nothing happens to me, you definitely won’t be eroded."
"That’s good. By the way, find me someone to test myself against. This body and that suit of armor are both extremely powerful. I need to get used to them."
Adam said, "By the way, why is heaven so unfair? It gave me not only peerless looks but also such tremendous power. How are other people supposed to live?"
"Hey, enough already. Aren’t you my clone? Why are you so narcissistic?"
Wang Bert said, "I’m an honest and loyal man, okay?"
"You’re honest and loyal because you don’t have my conditions. If you were as handsome as me, you’d be even more narcissistic."
Adam sneered. "Seriously, it would be such a waste if someone like me didn’t become a star. How about remaking Titanic? I’ll be the male lead. I could make a billion at the box office just with my looks."
"Get lost."
Wang Bert said irritably, "Never tell anyone you’re my clone in the future. I can’t afford that embarrassment."
Adam snorted disdainfully. "As if I can afford it either."
Wang Bert was speechless. Was this clone’s spirituality a little too strong? He was practically another person.
"Not another person. I’m the other side of your nature. Simply put, you were already a narcissistic person, and that trait has been amplified in me."
Adam sensed Wang Bert’s thoughts and replied—their consciousnesses were connected.
"We may be close, but don’t slander me."
As Wang Bert interacted with his clone, Lucifer snorted coldly. "Since you are so determined to court death, we’ll grant your wish."
The Demon Dragon Lord also said, "That’s right, we’ll grant your wish. I’ve found that little golden face of yours unpleasant for a long time."
"That’s because you’re too ugly."
Adam sneered. "This is my Hell. If you want to die, I can grant your wish."
"You are only a new Demon King. You cannot possibly wield a Hell Lord’s true power."
Lucifer sneered. At that moment, Adam Hell’s seal was completely lifted. The Demon Dragon Lord, who hated Wang Bert to the bone, and the Succubus Lord, who coveted Adam, immediately charged into Adam Hell in their true bodies.
That was right, their true bodies, not projections—this was Hell, their home ground. There was no reason for them to use projections.
With so many Lords, could they not kill a mere Blood God? Just as the other Lords were about to follow them, Grandmaster sighed and joined forces with the projections of the other arriving Elders of the Universe to seal the passage into Adam Hell with an energy barrier.
"Blood God, how do you want to fight?"
The Demon Dragon Lord’s enormous body descended from the sky as he arrogantly asked, "One-on-one or a group battle?"
Wang Bert asked in surprise, "One-on-one is an option? You’re giving me such a bargain?"
"Of course it’s an option. We’ll fight the two of you one-on-one."
The Demon Dragon Lord burst into laughter. "Blood God, with so many Lords joining forces, you’re dead today."
Wang Bert asked with a curious expression, "So many Lords? Where? I seem to see only the two of you."
Adam sighed. "You’re so ugly and so uncultured. How did you even survive until now?"
The Demon Dragon Lord and the Succubus Lord looked up in astonishment, only to discover that the other Hell Lords had not followed them inside. They asked in shock, "Hey, what are you doing?"
The Flame Demon Lord roared angrily, "Elders of the Universe, do you have a death wish? You actually dared block us outside?"
Lucifer also said furiously, "Elders of the Universe, what exactly do you mean? Didn’t you set up this trap? Why are you helping the Blood God instead now?"
"You think we want to?"
The projections of the Elders of the Universe appeared in the void. Astronomer cursed loudly, "Grandmaster, that bastard, screwed us over."
"That’s right."
Runner gritted his teeth. "Grandmaster, until the wager between the Elders of the Universe and the Blood God is over, you are forbidden from gambling again. Otherwise, I’ll tear you apart."
"That’s right, we’ll definitely tear you apart."
The other Elders shouted in agreement. This time, Grandmaster had truly screwed them over. Not only had they expended a great deal of power, they had also made enemies of the Hell Lords.
These Hell Lords were not kind people.
Grandmaster lowered his head, not daring to argue, but his heart was full of grievance. How was he supposed to know the Kree Empire was so useless? This bet should have been a guaranteed win no matter how he looked at it.
The Kree Empire was entirely to blame for losing this bet—gamblers never looked for reasons in themselves.
"A wager?"
Lucifer froze, then understood. It was that wager from just now. He ground his teeth. He had thought there was nothing wrong with that wager, but he had not expected such a twist.
"Elders of the Universe, you cannot stop us."
Lucifer swung his massive black sword at the energy barrier created by the Elders of the Universe while roaring, "You cannot stop us."
The other Lords also shouted angrily, "That’s right, you cannot stop us. Elders of the Universe, we will not let you off."
