"What exactly happened? How did it turn out like this?"

A bald, tattooed burly man stared in terror and confusion at the Hulk, who was being relentlessly pummeled by two monsters.

Because he was relatively weak, his main task this time had been to wait outside with several companions who were also Veteran Reincarnators and provide support.

Yet from the very beginning, the plot had not followed the script at all!

First, an Abomination that seemed even larger than the original one had appeared and grabbed Lord Hansen for a savage beating.

Fortunately, Lord Hansen had been clever and powerful enough to break free after some effort.

By the timing, the teammates conducting the infiltration should have finished by now, and it should have been time for them to begin their support mission.

But when they turned around at the sight of Lord Hansen’s ghostly expression, they discovered the disgusting monster wedged in the gap.

Before long, Lord Hansen had been forced into an increasingly narrow area by that eerie forest, until the monster finally caught him and held him in its arms…

The surroundings were covered by the forest again. There was no way up and no way down; it felt as though they could only stand there and wait for death.

Fortunately, their savior appeared just then.

The Hulk arrived according to the previously explored plot, forcibly smashing a path through the forest and reaching the scene.

According to the intelligence on this already well-established Mission Space for farming points—

After great difficulty, the Hulk was supposed to successfully defeat Abomination.

But now…

Looking at the Hulk being kneaded from side to side like a meat patty by two fat brutes, they simply could not see any chance of victory.

If not for his astonishing defense, he would probably have been absorbed into that creature’s body just like Lord Hansen!

"What are you standing around for? Run!"

The shout from a teammate jolted the bald, tattooed man awake. He immediately rushed toward the opening the Hulk had smashed through the forest.

With the speed and physique of Veteran Reincarnators, they were undoubtedly the first to reach the opening!

Yet they quickly discovered that at the far end of the blasted opening, a figure was leisurely walking inside.

His face wore a gentle, amiable smile.

Seeing the figure suddenly appear at the opening, the Veteran Reincarnators of the Holy Hill Legion were all startled.

This definitely was not some ordinary character.

"Is that you?"

However, the bald, tattooed man with little presence in the team stared at the figure before him and spoke in disbelief.

Wasn’t this the Beiyang Society newcomer who had ruined his plans in the simulation room?

Why was he here?

"Huh?~"

Xu Yue, who had left a Wood Clone on the armed helicopter to fool General Ross, had not expected to encounter an "acquaintance" here.

What a coincidence~

"Who is he? Do you know him?"

Someone in the group anxiously asked. At a critical time like this, they could not afford to delay even half a minute.

"He is…"

A vicious expression appeared on the bald, tattooed man’s face. He might have needed to be wary of others, but this was merely a newcomer from the Beiyang Society. At most, he had some mech and command skills. He was nothing to worry about.

They just needed to crush him!

But before he could finish speaking, a crimson haze seemed to spread across his vision. The space around him shattered completely, plunging into a pitch-black place where there was neither the passage of time nor any perception of space.

There were only him and the other person between heaven and earth.

What was going on?

What was this?

What had happened?

Where exactly was he?

A string of questions surfaced in his heart, but the burly bald man found that he could not move in the slightest. He could not even close his mouth to finish his first sentence!

This…

Had the other side done this?

He—wasn’t he a Beiyang Society newcomer?!

Xu Yue smiled faintly as he looked at the "acquaintance" before him.

It seemed he needed to borrow this man’s mouth…

"…He’s with S.H.I.E.L.D.!"

In the blink of an eye, the bald, tattooed burly man finished his sentence without the slightest stumble, immediately revealing Xu Yue’s identity.

The moment the words "S.H.I.E.L.D." were spoken, every Veteran Reincarnator shuddered.

Had something gone wrong? Was S.H.I.E.L.D. here to smooth something over?

Meanwhile, Xu Yue smoothly took a pair of black sunglasses from his pocket and put them on, concealing his crimson eyes.

Combined with his black suit, it inexplicably gave off an aura of chilling menace.

Though his amiable smile remained, paired with the status boost of "S.H.I.E.L.D.," he instantly became unfathomable in their eyes.

"You shouldn’t reveal my identity so casually."

As soon as Xu Yue spoke in a gentle voice, the bald, tattooed man looked at him with utter terror and disbelief before all life left his body.

There had been no movement at all. It seemed that merely one glance had completely erased a Veteran Reincarnator.

Such utterly unreasonable strength only deepened the terror of the other survivors.

They were doomed. They seemed to have learned a secret they should not have known. Would they be silenced?

"Special Consultant to the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division. This is my identification. So I’ll need your cooperation. Don’t speak of what happened today. Since you only learned about it passively, I won’t deal with you."

Xu Yue took out the identification the one-eyed Black man had given him and displayed it before them. Then he put it away, adjusted his suit, and continued toward the battlefield ahead.

The surviving Veteran Reincarnators all trembled as they hurriedly nodded and moved aside.

"Tsk~, the beating really was brutal."

Xu Yue seemed to shake his head as he looked at the Hulk getting mercilessly ganged up on.

If this continued, the Hulk might still win in the end through his unique abilities.

But that would take far too long, and the nearby streets would be demolished as well.

That would not match the temporary mission the Space had given him.

"Excuse me, but may I interrupt you three for a moment?"

As he walked forward, Xu Yue spoke in an official tone that did not change in the slightest.

Yet his words seemed to carry a certain compulsion, causing the three monsters engaged in their peculiar play to turn their attention toward him.

"Your actions have caused considerable disturbance to the nearby residents. Could you stop?"

Roar!

Roar!

Roar!

The three beings, all of whom could be called monsters, roared at Xu Yue almost in unison.

Their defiance was unmistakable.

"Looks like you’re unwilling."

Xu Yue shrugged helplessly and raised a hand toward the three targets.

"Then I can only use a little violence…"

The next moment—

A terrifying pressure of gravity descended.

Accompanied by a thunderous boom—

The three monsters who had just been so arrogant were simultaneously crushed to the ground by that distorted force.

They were pressed even into the earth, their struggles completely halted, bound tightly and unable to move at all!

Even the shattered stones scattered across the ground trembled and crumbled beneath the sudden force.

After all, I’m a S.H.I.E.L.D. consultant. Sometimes, I should do something that matches the position…

That’s two updates done~ I still need to go pick someone up tonight…
