Allen Meets His Nephew Tony

"Is this New York?"

Allen casually found a picture online and arrived in New York through a portal.

Nanaue had come along with him, the War God Helmet perched on his head. Inside the helmet, the calico cat nestled as though it were a cat bed.

"Nyema nyema…"

Nanaue sucked on his fingers, apparently hungry.

Arkham Asylum provided three meals a day. The taste was not guaranteed, but they could at least forage in Gotham City.

Now that they were away from home, the two of them did not have a cent between them. Even eating was a problem.

"Damn it, are we going to become the first pair of superheroes to starve to death?"

Before leaving, Allen had been too embarrassed to ask Cobblepot and Edward for money.

As the boss of the Comedy Troupe, asking his underlings for cash would have made him a real joke.

"Nanaue, don’t worry. I’ll go forage first."

"Mm… Nanaue likes foraging."

Seeing Nanaue’s shark-man appearance, Allen decided to act alone to avoid causing unnecessary panic.

He completely failed to notice that his Laughing battle suit made people see him as a pervert.

Nanaue listlessly hid beside a trash can. Watching Allen leave the alley, he held the calico cat and said, "Nanaue can’t eat Kitty. Kitty is also Master’s pet. Pets can’t eat pets. Nanaue doesn’t like rats. Can Kitty eat those two red rats?"

Pfft!

The next moment, the calico cat spat out a pile of carrot-like fruits.

If Allen had been there, he definitely would have recognized them as the Arrow Fruits Nebula had kept wanting to eat in the movie, only to find them raw.

"Yay! Kitty gave Nanaue fruit. Kitty will be Nanaue’s best friend from now on."

Nanaue happily wolfed down the Arrow Fruits one after another.

Meanwhile, Allen walked onto the street, looking around for a relief station.

Pedestrians passing by him all gave him a wide berth.

What normal person went out in bizarre clothes in broad daylight?

He was obviously imitating Batman, but he might have bought a knockoff costume. There was nothing cool about it; he looked more like a bargain-bin cosplay character.

He rounded a corner.

A crowd of marchers holding placards came into view.

"A big city really is different. You can find America’s signature features everywhere."

With a flash, Allen blended into the crowd and joined the protest, eager to experience the spirit of freedom.

"I can’t breathe."

"He’s only a child."

"Refuse to eat animal meat. Stop persecuting cows."

"Freedom of clothing, freedom of gender."

"You can’t assume someone’s gender."

"…"

As Allen enthusiastically shouted all kinds of slogans,

the marchers stopped walking, and pairs of disgusted eyes turned toward him.

Allen asked the woman beside him in confusion, "Why are you looking at me?"

"Are you here to cause trouble?" the woman asked.

"No."

Allen said sincerely, "I’m defending everyone’s rights."

"We’re an animal protection organization."

A man explained, pointing at the symbol on his chest. "This is a public welfare campaign to protect seagull habitats."

Protecting seagulls? They really had too much time on their hands.

Allen bluntly retorted, "Seagulls eat fish, so why don’t you protect fish? Are fish not worth protecting? Do fish not deserve protection? You’re discriminating against fish. Just because fish live in water and don’t breathe the same air as us, you hypocrites discriminate against fish."

The moment he said that, the crowd erupted in outrage.

They all shouted that they would teach Allen a lesson.

"Oho, this mage loves a good brawl."

Allen struck an opening stance, preparing to unleash Ekron’s Form.

Bang!

A gunshot rang out.

A detective maintaining order shouted, "Everyone, squat down!"

At the warning shot, the marchers immediately lost all their nerve.

Only Allen remained standing, declaring proudly, "Only criminals squat. Heroes never yield."

"Put your hands on your head and lie down! Do not resist!"

More than a dozen detectives closed in step by step, clearly prepared to empty their magazines.

The city looked prosperous, but its public security was truly worrying.

The first lesson of the job: when in doubt, empty the magazine.

"Master, Nanaue is coming to save you."

Having hidden in the alley for a long time, Nanaue could no longer stand the boredom and quietly came out to look for Allen.

He had a garbage bag over his head, fooling himself into believing it was perfect camouflage.

"Nanaue, stop!"

Allen tried to stop him, but it was already too late.

The detectives opened fire together. Bullets screamed through the air, pouring toward Nanaue like a torrential downpour.

The marchers who had been squatting heard the gunfire and scattered in all directions like frightened birds, terrified they would be too slow to dodge and catch a bullet.

"Shit, what the hell is that?"

"Officer, it looks like a shark."

"I fucking know it’s a shark! The problem is, it has arms and legs. Can that be a normal shark?"

The barrage of bullets shredded the garbage bag, revealing Nanaue’s shark face and driving the detectives to fire even more frantically.

"Headquarters, requesting backup."

"Received. Any additional notes?"

"A bulletproof shark has appeared on Lincoln Avenue. Send an emergency unit immediately. Forget it, notify the Avengers too. I don’t think we can handle this."

"Received."

Before long, the detectives had emptied all their ammunition. Nanaue stood before them completely unharmed, staring at them with a blank expression.

"Why are you still standing there? A shark can eat little weaklings like you in one bite."

Allen casually reminded them.

In an instant, the detectives scattered in all directions.

They earned three thousand dollars a month and were not paid to do a superhero’s job. You could not blame them for fearing death.

"Nanaue, are you okay?"

Allen stepped forward to ask, taking the chance to check for injuries.

"Nanaue is okay."

Achoo…

Nanaue tilted his head back and sneezed, sending the bullets lodged in his nostrils flying out. Satisfied, he said, "Nanaue feels much better."

"…"

Allen’s mouth twitched. He had clearly underestimated Nanaue’s defenses.

Whoosh…

The roar of thrusters echoed overhead.

A red-and-gold armored suit hovered in the air. Without question, Iron Man had arrived first.

Stark Tower was not far away, only two or three blocks apart. With the rooftop serving as an exit route, it was no surprise he had arrived so quickly.

The thrusters in Tony’s palms and the soles of his feet kept him balanced in midair. "Batman, shark-man, raise your hands and surrender immediately. I will charge you with disturbing public order."

Allen planted his hands on his hips, raised his head, and shouted, "Nephew, your uncle came to find you."

Tony’s tone hardened, and two rows of miniature missiles rose from his shoulders as he warned, "Keep provoking me verbally, and I won’t be so polite."

"Nanaue, look at my nephew beating up his uncle. If I hadn’t given Howard the technology, where would Stark Industries have come from?"

Allen patted Nanaue on the shoulder and said, "We’re here to collect a debt. Let’s eat Stark poor."

"Nanaue likes nyema nyema the most."

At that moment,

the artificial intelligence in Tony’s armor had already analyzed the other party’s identity and displayed it clearly before him.
