Am I the Chosen Protagonist??
Raven wasted no time.
He immediately took Daigo with him, opened a spacetime passage, and headed for the dimension where the Red Ball was located.
When they arrived, a terrifying monster was destroying the city.
Magnificent skyscrapers were knocked down, and cars along the streets were crushed into scrap metal beneath its feet.
The monster also spewed flames from time to time, setting the city ablaze.
Despair filled people’s faces as they fled in panic.
But many were too slow and were burned to death by the monster or crushed beneath collapsing buildings.
Before the monster, humans were as fragile as ants.
With a casual movement of its massive body, it could easily crush them to death.
Raven looked at the monster and immediately obtained information about it.
The monster was called Obmus King. It stood eighty-three meters tall and weighed eighty-two thousand tons.
It was the most evil and terrifying monster created by the Red Ball after it lured out the darkness and greed within its user’s heart.
"The monster is destroying the city, Mr. Raven. I want to fight."
The moment Daigo saw the monster, he took out his Transformation Device and looked at Raven.
Raven nodded. "Go, Daigo. Do what you believe is right."
Daigo raised the Transformation Device high and shouted, "Tiga!"
Accompanied by a dazzling flash of light, Tiga appeared in the city.
He charged forward and fought Obmus King, stopping it from continuing to destroy the city and harm innocent civilians.
Obmus King possessed formidable combat strength.
It was no ordinary monster, but a mysterious creature powered by the Red Ball, which could endlessly absorb desire energy.
After Tiga kicked Obmus King away, he brought his hands together and unleashed a beam attack.
Obmus King spread the bony wings on its back, forming a bone shield before itself that reflected the beam attack.
Then it spread its wings again, flew into the sky, and continuously fired incinerating beams at Tiga.
"Defeat Ultraman! Destroy this world completely!"
In one corner of the city, several teenagers shouted excitedly.
They were Kashimada Hiroshi, Nakahara Kohei, and Kosugi Wataru.
Two other children had been beaten to the ground by them, crying as they watched Tiga fall into a disadvantageous position.
The two who had been beaten down were Aratake Tsutomu and Hirama Yuu.
Aratake Tsutomu had been the first to obtain the Red Ball.
But he was kind-hearted. He had only used the Red Ball to fulfill small wishes and had never done evil.
Later, after the delinquent Kashimada Hiroshi learned of the Red Ball’s existence, he snatched it away and wished for a monster to attack the city.
Aratake Tsutomu and his friend Hirama Yuu stole the Red Ball back and wished for Ultraman to protect the city and defeat the monster, which was why Tiga had been summoned.
Enraged and humiliated, Kashimada Hiroshi snatched the Red Ball back again.
He used it to create an even stronger monster—Obmus King.
This time, he was even more insane and planned to destroy the entire world.
Aratake Tsutomu and Hirama Yuu tried to repeat their previous trick by stealing the Red Ball and having Ultraman save the world.
But during the theft, they were discovered by Kashimada Hiroshi and his companions, then beaten until they were bruised and battered.
"Hehehe! You little brats, do you know what sins you’ve committed??"
Having locked onto the Red Ball’s location, Raven tore open a spatial rift and appeared before the culprits.
His sudden appearance frightened the children, who had been celebrating excitedly.
"Who are you?" Kashimada Hiroshi asked with a savage expression.
Raven tilted his head. "Naturally, I’m here to punish you. What you’ve done has harmed hundreds of thousands of people. I estimate you’ll spend your next lives in prison."
The children instantly panicked when they heard that.
"Prison? I don’t want that."
"I heard prison is terrifying."
"Don’t be afraid. We have the Red Ball. If we destroy the world, there won’t be any prisons."
The moment those little brats heard they were going to prison, they became frightened.
But Kashimada Hiroshi was not panicked in the slightest. He showed the Red Ball to his companions.
He made them realize that they possessed a Red Ball capable of granting any wish.
"That’s right, we have the Red Ball. No one can do anything to us."
"Haha, prison doesn’t exist."
"Get rid of this dead bird."
Kashimada Hiroshi sneered, raised the Red Ball, and shouted, "Destroy this dead bird! Make it disappear from this world forever!"
The Red Ball became increasingly vivid, as though it had been formed from blood, blooming with crimson light.
In the distance, Obmus King grew stronger again and split into two additional monsters, Bargilys and Shubla, which joined it in fighting Tiga.
After attacking Tiga, one of the monsters fired a beam of destruction toward Raven, intending to eliminate him.
Cha!
Tiga violently broke free from the two monsters and lunged forward.
He used his body to block the beam for Raven.
But the attack gravely injured him, knocking him to the ground. No matter how hard he tried, he could not get back up.
The three monsters formed a triangle and advanced toward Raven and Tiga.
They gathered power, preparing to unleash a devastating attack and completely destroy their targets.
Kashimada Hiroshi raised the Red Ball, forming a red barrier around himself to block the incoming destructive attack.
"Dead bird, no one can make us go to prison, because this world is about to be destroyed."
"You’ll be turned into a roasted bird that nobody wants to eat."
"Aratake Tsutomu, Hirama Yuu, the two of you can die with Ultraman too! Hahaha!"
Raven: "…"
He should have brought Waldo along.
That Adeptus Custodes commander would definitely have taught these little brats what skewers were.
Raven was simply too soft-hearted to do something like that.
Otherwise, why would he waste his breath? He would have directly used the Great Wilderness Imprisoning Heaven Finger and shown these little brats what cruelty truly meant.
"I won’t become a roasted bird, but if you can get out of prison in this lifetime, I’ll quit."
As soon as he finished speaking, Raven’s body burst with light, and immense Origin Power poured into Tiga’s body.
Cha!
The severely wounded Tiga recovered at full health and transformed into his Shining Form, blocking the destructive rays unleashed by the three monsters.
Then a single Shining Beam destroyed Shubla, blowing its body into fragments.
The remaining Obmus King and Bargilys were also beaten back relentlessly.
"Make Obmus—"
Kashimada Hiroshi, still holding the Red Ball, wanted to make another wish.
Raven tore open a spatial rift and directly snatched the Red Ball away.
"Use me, and you can gain even greater power."
"Use me, and you can control this world."
"As long as you are willing, I can do anything for you."
Whispers echoed beside Raven’s ears, tempting him to use the Red Ball’s power.
"Make Big Guy perform a striptease," Raven murmured his wish.
The Red Ball instantly shone brilliantly, and Raven could sense the fluctuations of fate.
Not long afterward, a crack sounded.
A fissure appeared on the surface of the previously flawless Red Ball.
Its light receded, and the whispers vanished along with it.
"No way!! That’s all it took? Damn, it’s not going to shatter, is it?"
Raven looked at the unresponsive Red Ball and tapped it with his wing, but it still did not react at all.
"Give the Red Ball back to us."
"Please give the Red Ball back to us."
"We know we were wrong. Give the Red Ball back quickly."
Without the Red Ball, the little brats completely panicked.
Raven ignored them and flew a little higher so they could not reach him.
Then they started crying, weeping miserably and begging Raven to return the Red Ball to them.
Raven still ignored them and turned his attention toward the battlefield.
Having transformed into his Shining Form, Tiga was overwhelming the two monsters.
Before long, he defeated Bargilys and blew it into fragments.
Once again left alone, Obmus King was brutally pummeled by Tiga. After having its wings torn off, it was dragged high into the sky.
In the end, a Shining Beam blew it into pieces, ending it completely.
The monsters had been defeated.
The people who witnessed the scene cheered, but soon afterward, they began to cry in grief.
The monster attack had come too suddenly for anyone to react, causing many people to lose family members and friends in the disaster.
Who could accept that a lover, parent, child, or friend who had been with them yesterday was suddenly separated from them by life and death today, never to meet again?
For many people, this unprovoked disaster was a pain they could never bear for the rest of their lives.
Raven did not choose to let the culprits off simply because they were children.
Such evil acts that brought suffering to others could not be excused merely because the perpetrators were children.
Raven exposed the entire sequence of events to the public.
The enraged populace gathered together and put pressure on the authorities.
Thus, Kashimada Hiroshi and his companions were sentenced to permanent imprisonment, with no possibility of sentence reduction for any reason.
Their parents were also sentenced to death for failing to properly educate their children.
After resolving everything, Raven left that parallel dimension with the Red Ball and Tiga, returning to Spacetime City.
Spacetime City.
After returning, Raven spent quite some time studying the Red Ball.
He quickly understood its operating mechanism.
Simply put, it absorbed negative emotions such as greed, converted them into energy, then leveraged fate to manifest what people desired.
Put plainly, it was equivalent to a tool-version of the Four Chaos Gods.
Raven used technology from other universes to enhance the Red Ball, strengthening its ability to gather emotions and convert them into energy.
It could now absorb not only negative emotions, but any emotional fluctuation.
"Perhaps I should test it a little and see how effective it is."
Raven acted as soon as he thought of it and immediately returned to Misty Space.
He selected the universe closest to the Ultra Universe: the Kamen Rider Universe.
This universe possessed a highly unusual power system.
Technology and supernatural power coexisted.
Their combination had given birth to something known as the Kamen System.
As long as a being living in the Kamen Rider Universe gained the recognition of a certain law, they could transform into a Kamen Rider and wield that law’s power.
The Kamen Rider Universe was not large, and its power level was not high, making it an excellent test subject.
Raven established a spacetime passage and began drawing the souls of the dead into Spacetime City.
He used the Red Ball to help them reconstruct their bodies, then implanted a mission system he had created into them.
Some unknown spacetime.
Ito, who had accomplished nothing despite already being thirty, was walking down the street when he was suddenly sent flying by a speeding truck.
"Is my life ending just like this?"
Ito lay in a pool of blood, watching the panicked people shout and cry out around him as he lamented that his life was coming to an end.
At that moment, a screen of light appeared before him.
Do you wish to understand the meaning of life?
Do you wish to know the secrets of the universe?
Do you wish to obtain supreme authority and power?
YESIto’s eyes widened.
He instinctively chose YES.
The next second, brilliant white light enveloped him.
Then he appeared in a completely white room.
His body, which had been deformed by the truck’s impact, had also been restored to normal. Not a single wound could be seen.
"Thirty years east of the river, thirty years west of the river—do not mock a poor young man! After all these years, has my time finally come??"
Ito shouted an Eastern proverb, filled with excitement.
Over the years, he had watched all kinds of anime and read countless novels.
The protagonists who achieved great things always began this way.
They were summoned by mysterious power, bestowed strength, grew stronger all the way, and ultimately became peerless powerhouses pursued by countless women.
He had thought his life would remain mediocre from then on, with no hope left.
Who could have imagined that things would take such a turn and bring him an opportunity like this?
With his astonishing intellect and methods, Ito believed he could definitely carve out a place for himself.
Let this world tremble before me. A new king was about to be born.
Ito danced around for a while before stepping out of the pure white room.
The moment he walked outside, he froze.
There were at least a million people outside, all emerging from milky-white rooms just like his.
"Come on, brother. What are you standing around for? What, did your dream of being the protagonist get crushed, so you can’t accept it?"
Someone behind Ito shoved him, snapping him out of his shock.
"Why are there so many people?"
Ito looked utterly confused.
No one answered him. He could only let the tide of people push him forward.
After passing through a grand corridor, Ito suddenly found himself facing a magnificent technological plaza.
A massive statue of a Double-headed Eagle stood in the center of the plaza.
A beautiful woman floated above the statue.
An ancient-looking Magic Mirror drifted at her side.
A dense sea of people had gathered below.
"Where is this place?"
Ito curiously asked the person beside him.
"How would I know? All I remember is a huge truck coming straight at me," the person beside him said helplessly.
"A huge truck?? How is that exactly the same as what happened to me?" Ito’s eyes widened in confusion.
"Welcome to Spacetime City, lucky ones," the woman in the air said. "My name is Alena, and I am your guide and administrator."
"You are here because you have been chosen by the Lord to become trial-takers of Spacetime City."
"I’m sure you have all remembered your memories from before your deaths. The Lord used a tiny fraction of Their power to revive you. If you successfully complete your missions, you can obtain everything you desire and continue living."
"If you fail, eternal annihilation will await you."
Ito clenched his fists. Wasn’t this the same setup as Gantz?
It seemed his earlier guess had been right. He had been chosen to join some kind of infinite-world organization.
"I’ll definitely succeed."
Ito silently clenched his fist, encouraging himself.
The Magic Mirror floating beside the woman began to flow with light, which eventually intertwined and opened a passage.
"The passage to another world has opened. Move out, trial-takers. Only those who complete their missions may return."
