Anime Crossover: Starting by Creating the Delta of Fate, My Group Chat Friends Are Going Wild

"That’s right. Death only means your character has died and failed Dao Tian Palace’s assessment.

"So your character won’t be acknowledged or recorded by Dao Tian Palace. But you can still continue acting—only by using the bodies of other operatives."

Kurisu Makise rarely played games, so she asked,

"What does character death mean?"

Kazuma Satou and Hachiman Hikigaya understood a little, but not completely.

Lin Zhen did not answer further. He held out both hands, each covered in five rings.

"The operation has begun. One more reminder, reserve magicians: gather information, engage in battle, search, and withdraw once you’re done."

He clapped his hands, and the three of them plunged vertically from an altitude of ten thousand meters.

"Ahhh, wooo!"

"Ahhhhhhhhh!"

"Awooo, awooo, awooo!"

The three made different strange cries,

which echoed over Fuyuki City.

Standard Magical Formal Wear (3K)

Kazuma Satou: "Do you… believe in gravity?"

Hachiman Hikigaya: "I really don’t want to anymore."

Kurisu Makise: "The episode where I least wanted to believe in gravity."

Toyokawa Shoko: "…Are you okay?"

Conan: "Feels like we’re definitely dead."

Teacher Tony: "If I had my Iron Man armor, I might still be able to save you."

Ten thousand meters above the ground,

Kazuma Satou struggled for a while, then simply gave up and started sending messages in the group chat.

Hachiman Hikigaya curled into himself. He had written that essay wrong.

He should have written that he wanted to become a bird, not a bear.

Kurisu Makise was the calmest of the three. At first, she still held down her skirt, but eventually gave up.

After all, she was wearing shorts underneath…

Besides, at this wind speed, she could not hold it down anyway.

With such a huge production and such extravagant means, they could not possibly have been dropped into the city like fireworks just to explode on the ground.

She murmured,

"Don’t be afraid. There’ll definitely be a turning point."

"What?"

Kazuma Satou shouted. The air was thin at that altitude, making it difficult for sound to travel.

The next moment,

his tracksuit was gradually replaced by a green robe, while a red cloak condensed behind him.

It rustled in the wind high in the sky.

Dao Tian Palace magical supplies distributed.

Kazuma Satou looked at the eight small Command Spells that had appeared on the backs of his hands.

There was only one Dao Tian Command Spell on his left hand, bearing the mark of the legendary Dao Tian Palace.

His right hand, meanwhile, had seven small Command Spells.

He stretched out his hand and struck the same pose as Lelouch, attempting what he thought was a cool declaration.

"Levitation Command Spell!"

Yet nothing happened.

Though Hachiman Hikigaya could not hear him clearly, he still felt embarrassed for him.

Kazuma Satou’s face instantly turned red.

Kagura: "Pfft, hahahahaha!"

Whitebeard: "Gurarara, kid, you’re pretty interesting!"

Rin Tohsaka: "That’s not how Command Spells are used. Say ‘By the authority of the Command Spell,’ then state the specific compulsory request."

Rin Tohsaka: "But normally, Command Spells can only affect familiars under one’s command. Command Spells that affect oneself shouldn’t… exist?!"

Kurisu Makise wore a white cloak over a brown mage’s robe. She said softly, "By the authority of the Command Spell, let me float in the sky."

The next moment, one of the three Small Wing Command Spells on her right hand faded.

A wondrous transparent field formed around her, enveloping her as the speed of her descent gradually slowed.

"How fascinating."

Kurisu Makise discovered that she could also control the "force field" around her to adjust her direction and the speed of her fall.

It was like gaining a controllable organ surrounding her body.

"How incredible."

Kurisu Makise: "You two should try it too. First say ‘By the authority of the Command Spell,’ then state a specific request with yourselves as the target."

Kazuma Satou: "Private Number One has received his orders!"

Hachiman Hikigaya: "…Private Number Two has received his orders."

"By the authority of the Command Spell, let me float in the sky!"

Kazuma Satou and Hachiman Hikigaya shouted at the same time. The next moment, transparent force fields appeared around them as well.

They soared like birds…

No, they were far freer than birds.

The Livestream Room audience erupted.

Zouken Matou: "No, impossible! From the very beginning of its design, Command Spells could never have had such a function!"

Kischur Zelretch: "…This is magecraft? What kind of joke is this!"

Touko Aozaki: "Dao Tian Command Spell… Dao Tian Palace? Could someone in the modern age have reconstructed an artificial Greater Source… allowing ordinary people to gain the power of Universal Law?"

Merlin Ambrosius: "Impossible. What you’re saying is utter nonsense."

Touko Aozaki: "Then how do you explain this? They are neither ancient beings nor Heroic Spirits, nor are they magicians. They may not even possess Magic Circuits, yet they can wield miracles that even I cannot replicate… but they can reproduce them."

Merlin Ambrosius: "This… can’t be real. Could my common sense be wrong? That shouldn’t be possible."

At the Clock Tower,

Lin Zhen felt his Dao Fruit…

turning from illusion into reality!

It was slow, but it had indeed begun to stir.

Just as expected! Making games and livestreaming had been the right choice!

Kazuma Satou deserved first-class credit!

Lin Zhen smiled slightly. Since that was the case, he would give them a small reward after the game ended—and give the Livestream Room viewers a little shock as well.

When they discovered that dying in a game within the world of Delta of Fate caused no problems whatsoever in the real world,

and that they could even withdraw magical materials, items, and Noble Phantasms from that world as rewards,

what kind of reaction would they have?

It was truly something to look forward to.

"Lin Zhen."

A voice came from the doorway. It was Leinys.

Snap.

Lin Zhen casually snapped his fingers, unlocking the entrance. Two people entered through the door. Aside from Leinys,

the other was his mentor, as well as the man who had adopted him after coming to this world.

The Lord of the Clock Tower’s Department of Mineralogy, a first-rank lecturer in the Department of Spiritual Evocation, and the current head of House El-Melloi—Kischur Zelretch.

Lin Zhen immediately rose to his feet. Over the past decade or so, Kischur Zelretch had been like a foster father to him. At the very least, he deserved proper respect.

The fingers Kischur Zelretch kept behind his back trembled slightly. On the surface, however, he still maintained the demeanor of a strict teacher and gave a slight nod.

"Looks like your research has produced results. Very good."

Lin Zhen looked at Leinys, who wore an inexplicable smile beside him. He actually knew that Kischur Zelretch had been stumped by his access control system, but there was no need to expose something like that.

Some things lost their charm once spoken aloud.

He invited the two of them to sit and poured each a cup of black tea.

Kischur Zelretch took a light sip.

"Eastern tea truly is excellent. Your tea-making skills are first-rate too. Is this the talent in your bloodline?"

Lin Zhen smiled. "You flatter me. It’s all thanks to your teaching."

Kischur Zelretch gently set down his teacup.

"Since you’ve achieved results, I won’t interfere with you anymore. But I still want to ask: are you willing to take over my research?"

Lin Zhen said,

"It isn’t that I’m unwilling. It’s that I cannot give up my own research."

"Since you can produce results, I won’t demand that you abandon your pursuit."

Kischur Zelretch thought highly of this adopted son. Even though he had been questioned by others over the years, and even members of his own faction had questioned whether he had given Lin Zhen too many resources, he had suppressed all such objections outright.

Only he knew what level of talent Lin Zhen possessed. It was true Grand Order Class talent. The title Child of Grand Order was no exaggeration.

If he had not helped conceal it, Lin Zhen would have been taken away and sealed long ago.

When Lin Zhen had first applied to research this matter of true and false magecraft, Kischur Zelretch had not been particularly willing, because it was clearly a grand problem that would be extremely difficult to accomplish.

But after considering it further, Kischur Zelretch had thought that spending five or six years on it and redirecting everyone’s attention away from Lin Zhen would not be a bad choice.

What he had not expected was that Lin Zhen had actually achieved some results even on a problem of this level.

If Lin Zhen were to research his family’s own subject,
