Multiverse, Starting by Creating Delta of Fate, the Group Chat Goes Wild
The long-cherished wish of the El-Melloi line might be fulfilled in his hands.
After thinking for a moment, Kirei spoke.
"I plan to go to that backwater called Fuyuki City ahead of time and have a look. During that period, you’ll temporarily act as head of the El-Melloi family… Reines is too young to command respect."
"Fine."
Lin Zhen agreed without hesitation. Hearing the name Fuyuki City made him somewhat suspicious. The Fourth Holy Grail War in this world should still be some time away. Could it be that his teacher intended to leave early because of the livestream?
"Why are you going to such a small place?"
"To participate in a rural ritual called the Holy Grail War. I originally intended to go with your mistress, Sola, but…"
Kayneth tapped his temple. "This thing called the Myriad Worlds Livestream appeared in my mind, and the only clue points to Fuyuki City.
"This incomprehensible thing may be dangerous, so it would be better not to let her go for now."
"You truly are prudent."
Lin Zhen nodded. He was not worried that Kayneth would go to Fuyuki City and never return.
With the Dao Fruit of Reality and Illusion, having already attained the Dao, he could completely negate the fact that Kayneth had ever gone to Fuyuki City.
Letting his somewhat tsundere and old-fashioned teacher experience the treachery of the Mage Killer might not be a bad thing.
People had to grow up, after all.
"Since you agree, then there’s no problem. I’ll go make preparations first. I’ll leave Reines with you."
Kayneth rose to his feet and walked out with his hands clasped behind his back, suddenly feeling that the look Lin Zhen had given him at the end was a little strange.
Why had it felt like the gaze of his… father or master?
Probably just an illusion.
He shifted his attention to the livestream in his mind.
He wanted to see just what was going on with this Fuyuki City labeled "Ordinary."
A Day of Picking Up Trash at Fuyuki Dam (3K)
"I’ve landed safely and am in good condition!"
Kazuma Satou, Hachiman Hikigaya, and Kurisu Makise landed on the roof of a private residence.
"What do we do next?"
Kurisu Makise asked. She had barely even played games before. This was her first time playing such a fully immersive virtual game, something no one had ever accomplished before, so she could only ask the two boys beside her who had played the super closed beta.
"Don’t rush."
Kazuma Satou desperately wanted to show off in front of a beautiful woman of this caliber, so he quickly searched himself.
Aside from the standard-issue Mystic Code, imitation Noble Phantasm, specialized bow and arrows, and Command Spells,
he found two more items.
One was a dark yellow booklet, while the other was a damaged landscape painting.
Kazuma Satou’s first reaction upon finding something new was not to inspect it, but to post it in the group chat.
Kazuma Satou: "Ho ho, brothers, look at what good stuff I found again."
Kurisu Makise: "We’re standing right across from each other, and you’re posting in the group chat?"
Hachiman Hikigaya: "…"
Conan: "What is that?"
Sakiko Togawa: "May I ask what it does?"
Kazuma Satou: "Look at them. That’s a normal reaction."
Too lazy to mock him.
Kurisu Makise found her own copy. Four indecipherable characters were written on the archaic dark-yellow booklet. They looked like Chinese.
Yet they were neither modern Chinese characters nor ancient ones. What exactly were they?
She reached out and touched the characters, and almost instantly, a panel appeared in her mind…
Yu's Footprints Map (Imitation)Type: SpecialRank: ADescription: When Great Yu controlled the floods, he traversed the world with a staff, learning of its water veins, earth veins, and spiritual veins, gathering the spiritual energy of heaven and earth. The original version could use a single map to control all earthly veins and manipulate the rise and flow of waters. This is the standard Dao Heaven Palace version. It can display the surrounding earth veins, spiritual veins, terrain, and buildings in real time.Note: This item is exclusively bound to the user's consciousness and soul. It will not drop upon death."A map?"
When Kurisu Makise opened it, the terrain and buildings of the entirety of Fuyuki City were displayed with perfect clarity. It also showed golden and blue veins, along with green points of light.
Ryunosuke Uryu: "After all that description, it’s just a map? Sounds pretty boring."
Tokiomi Tohsaka: "Where did this clown come from? You don’t have even the most basic knowledge of magi?"
Tokiomi Tohsaka: "Locating, surveying, and measuring spiritual veins and their nodes would take ordinary mage families decades, even centuries, to barely investigate thoroughly. Yet this single map can monitor them in real time…"
Tokiomi Tohsaka: "And this person called Dao Heaven Palace gives Mystic Codes of this level to everyone?"
"Damn it."
Kazuma Satou looked at the discussion scrolling across the screen. The spotlight had been stolen from him.
He had to reclaim it.
Not that he was actually angry. He merely wanted to show off.
He opened the other map.
Mountain and River Sheji Map (Imitation)Type: SpecialRank: DDescription: Originally a magical treasure of a Sage, later bestowed upon the True Lord of the Pure Source and Wondrous Dao to subdue the enlightened white ape among the Seven Monsters of Mount Mei. It possessed boundless space, endless transformations, and the power to overturn heaven and earth. This map is a Dao Heaven Palace Rank D imitation. It possesses only spatial capabilities and can store items, materials, magical treasures, and other objects.Note: Can drop. After dropping, it may only be picked up and inspected by members of Dao Heaven Palace."This is… a spatial backpack!"
Kazuma Satou looked around. There was nothing for him to put inside. His Mystic Code could probably be stored, but then he would no longer have a jacket on, which would be somewhat awkward.
Forget it. He should study the map first.
He opened his Yu’s Footprints Map and looked at the green markers on it.
"The green humanoid markers should be extraction points. The standard extraction point is… Fuyuki Church?"
Since Kazuma Satou had played the original game, he could roughly guess what everything corresponded to and explain it to the only complete newcomer.
Kurisu Makise asked,
"Standard extraction point?"
Hachiman Hikigaya explained,
"It means that after we obtain what we want and head there, we should find a place where someone will receive us and take us out of the city. We can probably extract after waiting ten seconds."
Kazuma Satou continued staring into the map.
"The square green markers with exclamation points should be the switch-pulling locations. There are two in total.
"One is beneath Ryuudou Temple on the eastern side of the city.
"The other is at the Einzbern Castle in the outskirts."
He scratched his head.
"Forget it, don’t worry about that for now. Let’s loot around and see what this place can give us."
"OK."
Hachiman Hikigaya and Kazuma Satou had played several rounds of the original Delta.
The guy was genuinely incredible at games, and there was nothing to criticize. Nine times out of ten, following his plan would not go wrong.
Of course, that was assuming Kazuma Satou did not deliberately intend to charge in like a Counter-Strike player and throw the match.
Hachiman Hikigaya glanced at the map.
"Which loot point are we heading to first?"
"There are quite a few loot points. Let me see… the Tohsaka Residence, the Emiya Estate, the Matou Worm Pit, Einzbern Castle, the Holy Church Hall, Homurahara Academy…"
Kurisu Makise interrupted their conversation.
"I think we should get down from the roof first."
"What?" "What’s wrong?"
Kazuma Satou and Hachiman Hikigaya, both lying on the ground with their heads buried in their maps, turned to look at her.
Kurisu Makise sighed and pointed downstairs.
"Why don’t you look down there?"
A crowd of Fuyuki City residents had gathered below, while members of criminal organizations and the police were hurrying over from afar.
Hachiman Hikigaya was a little dumbfounded and instinctively said,
"Damn, that’s a lot of NPCs."
Kazuma Satou looked at the white markers above their heads, symbols of neutral creatures.
Had the modified Fate Delta added neutral units too?
Following Hachiman Hikigaya’s words, he said,
"The NPCs are pretty well made."
Kurisu Makise could barely hold her expression together. Glowering at the pair of living treasures, she said,
"What NPCs? Let’s get out of here already. Stop lingering on the roof of someone’s house."
She could not understand why these two could treat this place like a game. It was no different from reality. Aside from some miraculous items, everything still felt incomparably real.
"Let’s go… damn."
Kazuma Satou climbed down from the roof along a pipe. He slipped and fell midway, but fortunately landed in a flower bed. He only looked rather pathetic and was not injured.
Bang—
Hachiman Hikigaya fell directly from the second floor, breaking his left leg on the spot.
"Ow, fuck."
Kazuma Satou stepped forward. Showing no regret whatsoever over his companion’s injury, he tapped the broken leg.
"What type are your Command Spells? Do you have one for healing?"
"Hiss—stop tapping it."
Hachiman Hikigaya sucked in a breath, nearly overwhelmed by the sensation, then punched Kazuma Satou.
"My Mystic Code is survival-type. The Command Spells assigned to me are healing, mana restoration, and physical enhancement."
Kazuma Satou did not dodge. After taking the punch, he wore a wicked grin.
"Then use one. You won’t be able to walk otherwise."
Hachiman Hikigaya nodded. He had no choice but to use one. Raising his right hand, he chanted,
"By the Command Spell, heal my left leg."
A faint white light flashed, and his twisted leg gradually returned to normal.
Hachiman Hikigaya shook his old, aching leg and immediately broke into a grin:
