At Last, a Problem Years in the Making Was Solved

Noah stared blankly at his status panel, his mind briefly freezing.

How was it that after transforming once, aside from his name remaining unchanged, his age and strength had gained extra entries?

Zero years old?

That should have been the age of his transformed dragon body, but what the hell was Tier 9 strength?

Tier 9 was the limit that high-level mages could reach!

Beyond Tier 9 was Tier 10, the crucial stage of transitioning from human to god—the stage The Ancient One had reached.

Yet Noah’s strength had been stable beyond belief for all these years. He had only learned this transformation spell to feed back into his own growth.

So how had this dragon avatar become even more terrifying than his original body?

What kind of nonsense was that?

Noah was bewildered. Could it have been because of the dark power originating from Dormammu?

But didn’t it work a little too well?

"Noah? Are you alright?"

As Noah pondered the changes within himself, The Ancient One’s voice suddenly reached his ears.

That immediately snapped Noah back to his senses. Looking down, he saw that The Ancient One was watching him intently, and the others were much the same.

However, the Time Stone before The Ancient One’s chest was currently giving off a faint glow. Clearly, she was guarding against something unpleasant.

Shaking his head, Noah stopped thinking about all that nonsense. He lowered his head toward The Ancient One, preparing to say something.

But the moment Noah opened his mouth, his face turned green. He had not used any power at all, yet the instant he opened his mouth, surging magic power rushed out!

The magic power Noah had painstakingly recovered through his body was instantly gone again. More importantly, that magic power immediately transformed into black flames!

Even Noah himself was intimidated by that terrifying power, but he made a decision in an instant.

He raised his head and, like an idiot, opened his mouth toward the sky. Terrifying flames shot straight into the heavens, only vanishing completely once Noah’s magic power had been exhausted.

"What the fuck!"

Noah naturally knew that dragons cast spells differently from humans, and he had made many adjustments specifically for that.

But what was this situation where opening his mouth meant breathing fire?

It was as if making a sound could trigger his magic power. Noah was completely baffled.

"Have you forgotten how dragons cast spells?" Just as Noah was at a loss, his system unexpectedly became talkative for once. "Dragons rely on dragon roars, using their roars to trigger magic power."

"Of course I know. I specifically reconstructed my vocal cords for that. Why did it turn out like this?" Noah asked silently in his heart. This was not good.

"The answer is simple. You yourself haven’t even reached Tier 7 yet," the system’s voice came again. "Although you made a series of improvements, being too perfect is not necessarily a good thing. This body is too powerful, and you also missed a round of training, so figure it out slowly."

"Is that so?" Noah thought for a moment, then immediately shook his head.

Transforming into a dragon and adapting to a dragon’s body was, in a sense, also a form of training.

However, it seemed that because he had taken a shortcut, he had missed that training.

And since his original body was not even Tier 7, suddenly gaining such immense power would probably cause some minor issues.

Sighing, Noah felt that unless absolutely necessary, he should use this dragon body less in the future.

Although Tier 9 strength was incredibly tempting, his own abilities did not seem sufficient yet. Unless he was fighting for his life, Noah felt this thing was simply causing trouble for him.

"So what should I do next? Also, will such a powerful body cause any problems from growing too fast?"

"Don’t worry. This merely developed your body’s potential ahead of time. I have to say, your luck is indeed very good. Although you cannot display such powerful abilities in your original body, your body truly withstood Tier 9 development. You probably won’t be held back anymore in the future."

Was that so?

Noah roughly understood what the system meant. To fully unleash his body’s power, he still needed to transform into a dragon.

But because his dragon form had fortunately developed his body to Tier 9, it meant Noah would no longer encounter any awkward bottlenecks on the path of magic in the future.

That immediately put Noah in an excellent mood!

Although his physical condition was several levels higher than his magical level, and it seemed to have made him more suited for close combat.

Noah had no intention of switching to being a warrior. With no obstacle blocking his progress, Noah was not going to pick up a sword and start chopping people!

Amid his wild thoughts, Noah caught sight of The Ancient One seemingly preparing to use the Time Stone from the corner of his eye.

Noah immediately knew he could not continue like this. After thinking for a moment, he promptly dispelled his current magical state. As the image of his human form appeared in his mind, his dragon body rapidly shrank.

That black power, like misty gauze, appeared once more and completely enveloped Noah.

Within a few seconds, Noah changed from an enormous dragon that looked to be a hundred feet long into a young man barely five feet tall.

"Noah?" The Ancient One frowned as she watched Noah transform back.

"I’m fine, Master." Noah smiled. "There were some accidents, but overall, the gains were tremendous."

The gains truly were tremendous. After returning to human form, Noah immediately checked his current physical condition.

Perhaps because his human form had been heavily compressed, although Noah’s physical constitution had been developed to Tier 9, he could only wield Tier 7 power in human form.

It was enough. More than enough!

What had Noah’s physical strength been before?

Only Tier 4!

After this transformation, it could be said that Noah had been completely nourished in return, and pushed to an entirely new height!

Although Noah had used magic to lessen the scorching pain from before, even recalling it now made him shudder.

Fortunately, Noah had made preparations, and the reward he received for enduring that pain was even more gratifying.

"That dragon form just now seemed to have reached a terrifying level." The Ancient One relaxed slightly, but her brow remained tightly furrowed.

"Mm. Tier 9."

At the mention of that, Noah revealed a faint smile, but it soon turned into a bitter one. "But being too perfect isn’t necessarily good. That transformation is too powerful. I can’t fully control it."

"I see. No wonder you started breathing fire the moment you opened your mouth. You can’t control it yourself?"

"Yes. Dragons rely on dragon roars for magic, but I don’t know how to do that at all, and I can’t control it. So when I wanted to answer you, something went wrong."

Noah scratched his head, recalling how his dragon form had been covered in black scales while scorching lava flowed across its body.

Especially after fusing with high-dimensional dark power, he had already looked evil enough. Roaring at the sky while breathing fire made him look nothing like a good dragon.

"I understand." The Ancient One nodded. Suddenly, she blanked out for a moment, then said with some amusement, "You’ve reached Tier 7?"

"Tier 7?"

Noah froze. He immediately pulled out his pendant and summoned the system panel in his mind. Sure enough, both on the pendant and the system panel, Noah’s rank had become Tier 7!

That left Noah speechless. He did not even know what to say.

Hadn’t he just been Tier 6 Level 9? How had it changed all at once?

And how many years had he struggled?

It seemed that ever since the millennium, he had been at that level. The breakthrough he had waited so long for had happened without him even realizing it?

At that moment, Noah did not know whether he should be happy or sad.

After thinking it over, now that he became Tier 9 the moment he transformed into a dragon, Noah could not be bothered to dwell on it anymore. No matter how he looked at it, he had made a massive profit!

"It seems your magic was very successful. Can you tell me about it?" The Ancient One observed Noah’s expression, thought for a moment, and then asked.

"Of course." Noah nodded.

Then, regardless of whether he had said it before, Noah directly explained everything about this spell, from the original idea behind its creation to its current state.

Naturally, Noah would not expose his system. He had gone through the information provided by the system many times already, so he naturally knew how to explain it.

He only needed to reverse-engineer the system’s information to come up with a very convincing explanation—one that would absolutely have no problems.

After hearing Noah’s explanation, everyone present, including The Ancient One, gradually went from surprise to solemnity, only to end up looking somewhat amused and helpless.

"Noah, are you saying that our Magic Bridge design was too successful, resulting in you lacking enough magic power to complete the final shaping?"

Charles, who had participated in this matter almost from start to finish, wore a helplessly amused expression after hearing Noah’s account.

"Yes. Because the shaping was too perfect, the amount of magic power required for the finalization was too enormous. Therefore…" As he said that, Noah looked toward The Ancient One.

"I sensed it, Noah." The Ancient One nodded. "I truly did not expect that the dark power we brought in for research would become your lifeline."

"Thank you, Master." Seeing The Ancient One like this, Noah naturally knew she was helping explain things for him.

There was a completely different meaning between using the dark power The Ancient One had given Noah for research to save his life, and using dark power Noah had privately acquired from who knew where to save his life.

With The Ancient One helping him, Wong and Dennis also breathed a sigh of relief. Although they supported Noah, they had worried that The Ancient One would be displeased. Fortunately, everything was fine.

"By the way, that dark power was extremely terrifying, but the will within it had been erased. Did you do that?"

By this point, The Ancient One had returned to normal, but the will within that dark power still made her uneasy. She was very curious about how Noah had accomplished it.

"It wasn’t exactly erased."

Noah spread his hands and explained using the method his system had told him. "When I was researching it, those wills annoyed me terribly too. In the end, I came up with a spell. After several years of attempts, I finally completely removed those wills from the power."

Removed?

A spell?

At those words, The Ancient One’s eyes grew even brighter.
