Be Right There

"Quit playing dumb. I don’t know what happened in your family."

"But to ordinary people—to us—the fact that your father is God King Odin will not change."

Lacey chimed in as well.

The fact that Thor and Loki were God King Odin’s children was widely known throughout the universe.

Regardless of whether Loki had any unpleasant experiences in Asgard or hated his parents.

There was no doubt that God King Odin stood behind Loki.

"Haven’t you heard?"

"I was adopted. I’m not like Thor."

Loki spoke helplessly as he walked closer.

"You were adopted?"

Those words made Renoli and the others exchange glances before looking at Loki in disbelief.

"It’s complicated, so I won’t explain for now."

"Before coming here, I specifically looked into it."

"When Great God of the Void Kassadin first founded the cult, he was willing to give everyone a chance to join the Glorious Evolution."

"The Void Cult doesn’t have any rules forbidding Asgardians from believing in the Void, does it?"

Feeling the gazes of the four, Loki directly set aside the subject of his adoption and slowly approached Renoli and the others as he spoke.

"Lord Kassadin never said that, nor did he forbid it."

"But your arrival represents more than just yourself. It also involves your identity as a prince of Asgard."

"You are even one of the candidates for the throne of Asgard."

"Rather than considering how to inherit the throne, you came to the Void Cult, hoping to join it."

"How do you think your Father would see that? I don’t need to spell it out, do I?"

Renoli’s expression turned serious upon hearing that.

It was not that Renoli was making decisions on his own, because the Void Cult was still in the midst of expanding its influence.

If things went smoothly during this period, they would get through it before long. But if they became involved in some large-scale war—

They would either devour the enemy and develop rapidly, or spend enormous funds on warfare and cause their development to stagnate temporarily.

It was true that joining the Void granted a longer lifespan, but no one wanted to remain stagnant.

Even if Miss Sonia were here, he would explain the pros and cons to her. Letting Loki join the Void would bring more harm than benefit.

Hearing Renoli’s words, seeing his resolute attitude, and hearing his identity as an Asgardian prince brought up repeatedly, Loki’s expression changed slightly.

"Then it should be fine if I visit Void Island and have some fun on the island, right?"

After considering it and realizing that joining really did seem rather difficult, Loki paused before speaking.

"You’re naturally welcome as a guest."

"But you’d better behave yourself on the island. If you get beaten up, don’t blame me for not warning you."

Renoli knew Loki could not possibly give up so quickly, but he had already said what needed to be said.

Whether Loki would ultimately be allowed to join the Void still depended on Lord Kassadin’s will.

"Not everyone in the Void Cult can be superpowered people like you."

"Ordinary big guys who only know how to use brute force can’t do anything to me."

Loki did not care in the slightest when he heard that.

But as soon as Loki said it, he saw several figures swiftly fly overhead.

"They’re flying?"

Loki fell silent upon seeing those flying figures. To make sure he was not mistaken, he looked toward Kyle and Renoli to ask about it.

"Flight is only one of the Void Cult’s most basic abilities."

"Many of our fellow members in the Void Cult truly were not superpowered people."

"But they have received the blessing of Great God of the Void Kassadin, and their strength is already nothing like it once was."

"So watch your behavior on the island. If you provoke public outrage and get ganged up on, I can at most make sure you don’t die."

Renoli answered upon hearing that.

"After all, you’re Thor’s brother. As long as you don’t try to join the Void Cult and bring trouble to it—"

"Of course you can look around the Void Cult."

"Then come with us. We’ll show you around the island."

Kyle knew Loki had not given up, but at least he did not dare say it openly anymore, so he took the initiative to speak.

"There’s no need to trouble you. I can walk around by myself."

Seeing that the four intended to personally show him around, Loki was about to refuse.

But then, from the corner of his eye, Loki saw Lacey decisively activate her communicator, causing a projection to appear.

And within that projection, Loki saw an extremely familiar name.

Tony Stark—the ruthless man from Earth who acted without hesitation—had left a deep impression on him.

"Wait, Lacey, what are you planning to do?"

Seeing Lacey’s actions, Loki immediately stretched out his hand and shouted.

"Tony is on the island right now. He knows you better, so I asked him to come show you around and introduce the place."

Lacey smiled when she heard Loki’s words.

"That won’t be necessary, will it? It would be so embarrassing to disturb him."

"Besides, if Tony Stark is on the island, you should have said so earlier."

Seeing the devilish smile on Lacey’s face and thinking of Tony’s attitude toward him, Loki hurriedly said.

"There’s nothing embarrassing about it. We’re free every day, and so is Tony."

Lacey smiled as she spoke, her hand never stopping as she directly contacted Tony.

Because they were both on the island rather than separated by countless light-years, the call connected in just two seconds.

"Lacey, what is it?"

"It’s not time to eat yet, is it?"

Tony’s voice came through immediately.

"It’s not about food."

"A guest from Asgard has arrived on the island."

"I think you might be interested in taking a look."

Lacey said with a smile.

"A guest from Asgard?"

"What are Asgardians doing coming all the way here instead of staying in the Nine Realms?"

"Is it Thor?"

Tony had been studying wormhole jump technology. Hearing Lacey mention Asgard, he stopped what he was doing and asked curiously.

"You got half of it right. It’s not Thor, though—it’s Thor’s brother, Loki."

Lacey chuckled upon hearing Tony’s words.

"Loki?! Where are you now?"

The moment Tony heard Loki’s name, he sprang to his feet.

"At the harbor."

Lacey immediately gave him their location.

"I’ll be right there."

Tony answered and immediately ended the call.

Then a figure clad in Iron Man armor shot into the sky and sped toward the harbor.

"Tony said he’ll be right there."

Lacey looked at the disconnected call, then smiled at Loki.

"I suddenly remembered that there are still some matters in Asgard. I’ll be leaving first."

Loki’s mind raced nonstop as he considered a way to retreat.

"Don’t be in such a hurry. You came all this way; if we don’t entertain you properly, it’ll make the Void Cult seem inhospitable."

Seeing that Loki suddenly wanted to leave, Lacey directly grabbed his arm.

"…"

Loki discovered that although Lacey’s arm looked slender, the force coming from it made it impossible to break free. She was practically a humanoid tyrannosaurus.
