Chapter 10: Such a Helpful Older Brother!

Su Xi really wanted to jump out and loudly announce that it wasn't her, it wasn't her… but in this situation, all she could do was hide behind the lotuses and not come out.

However, she still had a helpful older brother.

Seeing his most precious younger sister being misunderstood, Su Jingyu hurriedly explained with a smile, "Your Highness has misunderstood. That just now wasn't Fifth Sister. Fifth Sister is gentle and virtuous, with extraordinary talent; she barely has enough time to Cultivate, so how could she be so mischievous?"

A strange light flashed deep in the Crown Prince's eyes: "Oh? Then I wonder which lady of the manor it was?"

Su Jingyu was conflicted. He cursed himself for being an idiot. Why did he have to mention his own sister just now? He could have just blamed some random Servant Girl. Now that the Crown Prince was looking into it, how should he answer?

Father had always held Third Sister in high regard, and Third Sister's relationship with Mother and his younger sister had always been harmonious. If he could avoid sacrificing her, he should try his best not to.

Suddenly, a flash of inspiration hit Su Jingyu, and he thought of a clever plan that would satisfy both sides. Because of his excitement, his voice rose slightly: "Actually… to tell Your Highness the truth, that girl was actually… was…"

"You are hesitating and refusing to tell the truth. Could it be that the girl is actually…" The depths of the Crown Prince's eyes flickered, and his voice was low, seemingly carrying some sort of hint.

"Yes, Your Highness is wise. That girl is actually my worthless Fourth Sister!" After saying this, Su Jingyu immediately breathed a sigh of relief. He felt as if the entire sky had brightened, and even the breeze blowing by felt fresh and pleasant.

Fourth Sister?

Sitting on the tree branch, Su Luo almost wanted to swear.

Damn it, this sanctimonious eldest brother was truly too shameless. He actually dragged her, an innocent and blameless person, out to take the blame! He actually said that the person who made a fool of themselves was her!

She finally knew where her notorious reputation came from. It turned out that as long as one of the sisters did something wrong, the rumors outside would definitely pin the blame on her, Su Luo.

A cold light flickered in Su Luo's eyes, glinting with a chilling radiance. Good, very good. Su Jingyu, you'd better remember this. This young lady is very petty; just you wait for this debt to be repaid.

Nangong Liuyun looked playfully at the little girl before him, whose expression was shifting. A smile played on his rosy lips, and his voice was wickedly low, carrying a hint of hoarse sexiness: "Lass, aren't you going out to clear things up?"

"If I go out now, that eldest brother of mine will definitely be shocked and then dismiss me like some sweeping maid. Do you believe it?" Su Luo smiled as brightly as a flower, but her bared white teeth glinted with a chilling coldness.

"But if you don't go out, you won't be able to become the Crown Princess. Do you believe it?" Nangong Liuyun's red lips were like blood, vibrant and eye-catching. His handsome eyes were like clear springs, seeing straight into one's heart.

Crown Princess? Su Luo focused her thoughts and finally found the truth from a corner of the original owner's memories.

It was indeed true. Because this Su Luo was said to have been possessed by a Divine Bird when she was a child, the Empress had betrothed her to the Crown Prince as soon as she was born. For all these years, although her reputation was terrible and the engagement was on the verge of collapse, it hadn't been officially abolished yet.

So, Su Jingyu lying and framing her in front of the Crown Prince was, firstly, to clear Su Xi and Su Wan of suspicion; secondly, to solve a difficult problem for the Crown Prince; and thirdly, naturally, to pave the way for his precious younger sister.

Because only if she, Su Luo, stepped aside, would Su Xi have a chance to become the Crown Princess.

Su Jingyu, oh Su Jingyu… tell me, what should I do with you?
