Chapter 12: The Wang Family Wedding Banquet

Early that morning, Han Shi and his group arrived at Su Yu's doorstep.

Once everyone was gathered, they prepared to set off for Wang Yuyan's home.

Ye Lin soon arrived as well, and after packing their things, they departed.

Han Shi used his small savings to rent two spirit horses from the Market as transport; otherwise, walking would have taken quite a long time.

Su Yu could have taken them there by flying on his sword, but he did not want to reveal his cultivation level yet. After traveling for a day, they finally arrived at Golden City, where Wang Yuyan's Family resided.

"Good, good, good," Wang Lu said, repeating the word three times.

He then added, "I have arranged your accommodations. It is getting late; after you rest, the banquet will begin tomorrow."

Su Yu and his companions went to the rooms arranged for them to rest.

The next morning, before dawn, the Wang Family began preparing for the banquet.

While the banquet had yet to start, Su Yu and Ye Lin decided to go for a stroll.

They hadn't walked for long before they saw a man pestering a woman. Su Yu looked at the woman's face and thought she looked somewhat familiar.

Just then, the man Su Yu had seen on the street earlier spoke up.

"Uncle Wang, you and my Li Family are quite close. I would like to be bold and, taking advantage of this joyous day, propose marriage to your second daughter."

"You may propose; as long as Xin'er agrees, I have no objections. But if she does not agree, then do not bring this matter up again."

At this moment, Wang Xin also stepped forward.

"I have already told you to stop bothering me. I have no feelings for you, and I will not marry you. Give up on this idea."
