Chapter 158 Eat the table immediately
“Please be brave and face reality, okay?”
Su Lang slowly withdrew his palm, his gaze toward Alchemist Xu filled with disdain.
The intense pain jolted Alchemist Xu awake. He clutched his face, his eyes bloodshot as he glared at Su Lang: “You… you actually dared to hit me!?”
Ever since he became an alchemist, as his rank grew higher and higher, Alchemist Xu rarely had to consider anyone else’s feelings.
But now, he had actually been slapped, and in front of acquaintances no less—this was an utter humiliation!
“You kept calling me a wet-behind-the-ears brat, a yellow-haired kid, and you don’t want me to hit you?”
Su Lang sneered, “Let me tell you, in the past, I would have torn you limb from limb. You got off easy with just a slap!”
“You… you!”
“I’ll f*cking kill you!”
Veins throbbed on Alchemist Xu’s temples as he clenched his white-knuckled fists and lunged at Su Lang.
“Stop!”
Elder Li exclaimed, moving to intercept.
In his opinion, Alchemist Xu was a Martial General; how could Su Lang be his match?
However, he was a step too late, and Alchemist Xu’s fist had already reached Su Lang’s face.
But the next scene made him gasp in disbelief!
“Bang!”
A muffled thud echoed.
Alchemist Xu’s fist was effortlessly caught by Su Lang!
“How is this possible? I’m a Martial General!”
Alchemist Xu’s pupils constricted in terror, and the hairs on his body stood on end!
He yanked his arm back fiercely, but found his fist was as if pressed down by Mount Tai, completely unmovable!
“Tsk tsk, if you can’t take a loss, you resort to killing? How vicious!”
Su Lang sneered disdainfully, then, with a flick of his wrist, he directly covered the back of Alchemist Xu’s head and slammed his skull hard onto the table!
“No——!”
A shrill scream rang out.
“Bang!!”
Blood splattered, and Alchemist Xu’s fat face and nose instantly flattened!
However, Su Lang didn’t take his life, after all, the table hadn’t been eaten yet!
“Now, eat this table immediately!”
Su Lang pressed Alchemist Xu’s head down tightly and said coldly, “If you don’t finish it, I’ll do as I said before—drill a hole in your head and stuff the table in!”
“No! Don’t! Elder Li, save me!”
Alchemist Xu was scared out of his wits, screaming for help!
“Young… This esteemed sir!”
Elder Li weighed his options for a moment, then gritted his teeth and said, “Please, for the sake of the Tranquil Heart Pill Pavilion, spare him this once!”
“I can spare him.”
“But no matter what, he must eat the table!”
Su Lang shoved Alchemist Xu to the ground, “Otherwise, his fate will be even worse!”
“Sir…”
Elder Li looked troubled.
“No room for negotiation!”
Su Lang looked down at the terrified Alchemist Xu from above, his cold voice filled with endless killing intent.
Seeing this, Elder Li immediately shut his mouth.
After all, this whole situation was provoked by Alchemist Xu; he was simply reaping what he sowed.
And Su Lang was clearly no ordinary person; just his alchemy skills alone were enough to run rampant in Eastern City!
Such a powerful alchemist, even the Pill Pavilion Master wouldn’t dare to slight him, so how could a mere Pill Appraiser like himself dare to interfere further?
And when Alchemist Xu saw Elder Li fall silent, he immediately despaired.
“One last question: will you eat, or not?”
Su Lang’s indifferent voice was like Death’s final ultimatum.
“I… I’ll eat!”
Alchemist Xu stammered, his lips trembling. As soon as he finished speaking, tears streamed from his tiny, beady eyes.
So humiliating, so utterly humiliating!
A dignified eighth-rank alchemist, forced to eat a table.
But he had no choice but to eat; he didn’t want a hole drilled in his head.
So, Alchemist Xu shakily got up from the ground, leaned on the table, and began to gnaw at it bit by bit.
The table was very hard; even with his Martial General-level cultivation, gnawing on it was not easy.
“Eat faster!”
Seeing Alchemist Xu moving at a snail’s pace, Su Lang immediately barked coldly.
“Yes… Yes…”
Alchemist Xu trembled with fear and immediately sped up.
Ten minutes later, Alchemist Xu finally gnawed through the table.
At this point, his face was covered in wood splinters, and his mouth was full of blood—a truly miserable sight!
