Chapter 161: God-Extinguishing Spear

If there is no Ancient God Power, one can only forcibly break it open, but a Restriction set by at least a six-star Royal Ancient God would take even a Suinie Stage expert some effort.

"Since that is the case…" Chu Yuan whispered to himself and tapped his glabella with his finger.

A barbaric and ancient power surged from his body, flowing through his fingertips into the Restriction before him.

That was Ancient God Power, pure and dense, carrying a rhythm originating from the same source as this space. The moment the Restriction sensed this power, it was like a sleeping giant beast smelling a familiar scent; it trembled slightly, then slowly parted to both sides, revealing a deep passage.

At the end of the passage was a Void Realm.

Chu Yuan did not hesitate and stepped into it.

The Restriction behind him closed up after he passed through, returning to its original state.

This Void Realm was completely different from the space just now.

His gaze swept across the surroundings, and his Divine Sense spread out like mercury pouring onto the ground.

Soon, Chu Yuan discovered the center of this Void Realm.

There, a massive figure sat quietly, like a sleeping mountain range, spanning across the Void Realm.

Silvery-white long hair hung down like a waterfall, drifting gently in the silent Void Realm, every strand seemingly containing thunder and starlight.

Her body was huge and majestic; although it was already battered and broken, it still exuded a heart-palpitating, ancient Aura.

At her glabella, seven purple star points arranged like the Big Dipper rotated faintly; even though they were dim and lusterless, they still proclaimed her cultivation level: Seven-Star Ancient God.

Chu Yuan's pupils constricted slightly.

An Ancient God, and a Royal Ancient God at that.

A true Royal.

There was a huge hole in her chest, with traces of some strange erosion remaining at the edges, like a wound that could never heal, still slowly devouring her life force.

Seemingly sensing Chu Yuan's arrival, the female Ancient God's brows moved slightly.

The next moment, she suddenly opened her eyes. There were no pupils in those eyes, only two clusters of golden light burning like two miniature suns, illuminating this Void Realm as bright as day.

A vast Aura spread out from her body, like the first breath of an ancient giant beast awakening, causing the entire Void Realm to tremble slightly.

A true Ancient God.

Chu Yuan thought to himself, but he did not retreat.

His gaze fell on the hole in her chest; those black erosion marks made him narrow his eyes slightly. Such an injury should not have been fatal for an Ancient God.

The Physical Body of an Ancient God has amazing recovery capabilities; as long as the Origin is not destroyed, even the heaviest injuries can heal on their own.

But those black marks were like living things, still slowly grinding away at her flesh and Divine Soul, causing all her efforts to be in vain.

The female Ancient God's gaze fell on Chu Yuan, and she scrutinized him for a moment.

In her golden pupils, there had originally been a glimmer of expectation, but it quickly dimmed the moment she saw him clearly.

"You… are not an Ancient God."

Her voice was incomparably weary, carrying a desolation that had been smoothed away by the years.

"Leave. Bring a true Ancient God to see me; I… cannot hold on much longer."

Chu Yuan's expression was calm; he did not rush to leave, but instead spoke slowly: "Who attacked you, to be able to injure you to this extent?"

The female Ancient God was silent for a moment, seemingly recalling, or perhaps just unwilling to mention it.

She smiled bitterly and shook her head: "Heh, so many years have already passed. If I tell you, what use would it be?"

Chu Yuan nodded, not pressing the question.

He raised his hand and waved it, and a figure stepped out from behind him.

With red hair like blood, four purple star points rotating at his glabella, his body was surrounded by Ancient God Power so dense it was almost substantial.

A domineering pressure unique to a Royal Ancient God permeated the air, reflecting and echoing the female Ancient God's Aura.

If the temperament of Chu Yuan's Clone was aloof and reserved, then his true self was absolutely domineering, looking down upon the world, unquestionable.

The female Ancient God's pupils constricted violently, her gaze locked on Chu Yuan's true self, and a flash of shock appeared in her eyes: "Where were you hiding just now? I didn't even sense you."

Chu Yuan's true self spoke in a flat tone, without any emotion: "That is not important. Your Origin is nearing its end; you are already a dying being. Before you die, is there anything you want to say?"

Hearing this, the female Ancient God almost couldn't help but roll her eyes.

She had lived for countless tens of thousands of years and had never seen such an unfeeling clansman.

But she also knew that he was telling the truth.

Her Origin had dried up, and her life force was like a candle in the wind, liable to be extinguished at any moment.

"Forget it."

She sighed softly, her tone carrying a hint of self-mockery.

"At least we are of the same clan; since I am about to die, I do not want no one to remember me after I die. Remember, this Ancient God is named Shuo Leng."

Even at the point of exhaustion, her tone remained vivid, like the last leaf in winter refusing to fall.

Shuo Leng recounted her story intermittently.

She was once a renowned person among the Ancient God clan, with a straightforward personality, unconstrained by small details, and liked to wander around in the starry sky, looking for fellow clansmen to spar with.

But during one long journey, she encountered a sneak attack by a mysterious expert.

That person's methods were extremely strange; with a single strike, they pierced through her chest, leaving a wound that could never heal.

She tried her best to escape by luck, fleeing all the way here, only to discover that the erosion power was like a maggot on a bone; no matter how she tried, she could not expel it.

"I have tried countless methods, swallowed Heaven And Earth Treasure, sought the help of great experts, and even tried to cut off my own life force to reshape my Physical Body, but that power is like it's grown into my bones; I can't shake it off no matter what."

Shuo Leng smiled bitterly, her voice getting lower and lower.

"Later, I hid here; I didn't expect… it to be more persistent than I imagined."

Chu Yuan listened quietly, remained silent for a moment, and asked the question in his heart: "Why not leave this place and look for a chance of survival?"

Shuo Leng shook her head helplessly, a trace of bitterness flashing in her eyes: "I also wanted to leave, but the injury is too severe. As long as I move, my body might disintegrate. That power has been grinding me down; over these years, I haven't even had the strength to stand up."

"You will not understand the erosion of that Origin."

Indeed.

Chu Yuan could clearly sense how domineering that Origin erosion was; if a Seven-Star Royal Ancient God could not withstand it, for an ordinary Cultivator, they would probably not even be able to last a single breath.

The strength of the person who launched the sneak attack was at least at the Third Step, and their Origin attribute was extremely special; otherwise, it would have been impossible to leave such an indelible wound.

Shuo Leng's voice grew weaker: "As I am now, even if my body does not move, I can only last for another thousand years at most before I completely collapse. Fortunately, before my body completely collapses, I have waited for you, my clansman."

Her gaze fell on Chu Yuan's true self, her eyes filled with curiosity: "Your Divine Ability is quite special; using an Ancient God's body to create a human Cultivator Clone, while your true self continues to walk the Dao of the Ancient God, it is truly… somewhat wondrous. However, it is rare that your Clone's cultivation level far exceeds your true self."

Chu Yuan did not speak, just watched her quietly.

Seeing this, Shuo Leng couldn't be bothered to say more.

She had seen too many cold-hearted clansmen; one more didn't make a difference.

She raised her hand, tapped her glabella, and a golden light flew out from her glabella, hovering in the Void Realm.

That was a long spear.
